  • in my computer i do not get the wii softmod

    can you help me please

  • @TheRobert7007 The link is in the description of all of the videos. It is the same file you only need to download it once.

  • When I click on the home botton after I insert the sd in the wii I don´t have on the list "launch bootmi". I only have "back" "about" "exit to system menu" and "shutdown".

    Can you help me?

  • @azorrir You need to reinstall BootMii IOS, I have sent you a PM with more information.

  • @RVLhacks I have the same problem as azorrir, what do I do to fix it?

  • @fuzetzu26 Send me a PM and I'll help you to the best of my abilities.

  • i cant got to step 2 i dont know how

  • i have the homebrew channel i used an 8gb sdhc but i thought i couldnt

  • @RVLhacks i fugured out i had to check twice before you turn off take out sd and turn on put sd in

  • i got towrads when it crashed i turned it off ejected the sd card turned it on and held reset it went to the normal screen why.?

  • @MW3modderman Send me an email at rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com and I'll help you get back up and running.

  • @IamSloMo Your Priiloader may have installed correctly, send me an email and we can work on fixing this. rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • @RVLhacks umm i figured it our my sd card had old stuff so i just deleted some shit and it works now!

  • I don't think it worked for me. I put the second folder into my SD card but I couldn't do the MD5summer thing because I have a Mac. I skipped that step and put in the SD card into the Wii click HomeBrew and then clicked HOME and BootMii & the Wii just freezes on a black screen. HELP PLEASE!

  • @OmerSAmiri Try a different SD card, it is likely that MMM does not support your SD card, make sure the card is 2Gb or less. Also unplug any GC controllers, Mics, gamegpads, etc...

  • @RVLhacks I plug out all the controllers but my SD card is 8GB is that the problem?

  • @789nikkita Your Priiloader install is starting up, press reset and go into settings and change the boot to option to System Menu. If you need help send me an email.

  • @clubparty928 If you already have the homebrew channel you only need to do steps 2 and 3 to play your backups again.

  • what is wii softmod

  • @AmirkhanThe786 Software Modification. Kind of like a jailbreak/root/unlock of the Wii.

  • I didn't spend hours searching, but i agree this is the best tutorial i have found

  • when i go to the priiloader n press A,then launch boot.dol,i get the same thing u get n press pluss, but it doesnt give me errors it gives me a message in yelllow tht sais "ES_identify failed,error4294966279,ios36 not patched with ES_DIVerify?using cios(holding b and then pressing+or-)will propably solve this.NOTE you need CIOS for this.

    do you wish to continue?

    A=yes B=no homelstart=exit

i choose A or B, it crashes like in the vid but as i follow instructions i go back to normal screen HELP

  • @RGatman On your Wii you do not have the same bug that mine has with it's IOS, but using the cIOS as it suggested should work fine. Go to the main menu and press "B" then "-" or "+".

  • @RVLhacks i do tht before installing anything right? like when i launch boot mii i press B then - or + then continue like normal?

  • @RVLhacks um that happened to me to what main menu?? when i press b it crashes (like its supposed to) but when i turn it off, take out the sd turn it on, and i hold reset it just takes me to the (press a to begin) screen like when u turn your wii on, what do i do??

  • AFTER SEACHING AND SEARCHING FOR A VIDEO U BOUGHT IT TO ME THANK YOU!!!

BEST TUTORIAL FOR HOMEBREW AND VERY DETAILED THANK YOU!!!

  • is this usb loader gx 2.3?

  • @a2uploader The channel is just a forwarder, it will load whatever is on the SD card. You can update to the latest version from within the USB Loader GX settings.

  • I redid everything and it worked... I had forgotten to turn on the ignore standby on the settings, but am I supposed to do shutdown to priiloader or no?

  • @emokidd446 You want to have shutdown to set to "off", that just tells the Wii what to do when you press the power button. I assume you want to power your Wii off but you can set it to what ever best fits your needs.

  • when i launch bootmii it brings up a menu with WII Homebrew channel, SD card, and options. what do i do?

  • @richeyfilms You still have the "bootmii" folder from step one on the root of your SD card, simply replace it with the "bootmii" folder from step two.

  • @RVLhacks i reinstalled it yesterday, thanks for the videos by the way.

  • Thanks this worked perfect i tried every walkthrough yours finally install priiloader and system menu hacks the download was fast thank u im am definitly subing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how do i open md5summer on a mac???

  • @KalebsKlipsUploader Hello fellow mac user! Macs can do this also, but not with MD5summer. Open Terminal (in the Utilities folder). Navigate to where you downloaded the zip file "cd ~/Downloads" then check if the file is there "ls" that should list what is there and you should see Wii Softmod v3.zip. Run "md5 *.zip". You should get this a the output "f8950330a2374b4d38a3d809688dc4d2" If you have any questions feel free to send me an email rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • @SNiPiNGiSG77 Send me an email, be sure to tell me what happened right before the issue occurred. A few others had this issue and it is easy to resolve just takes a fair bit of explanation. rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • Hi!

The link with software needed for part 2 isnt working.

    Can we download somewhere else?

  • @MrTrekko It's back online, you just have to wait 40 seconds then click the black "Regular Download" button.

  • @RVLhacks can i brick my wii doing this?

  • @TheReshal There is a very small chance, however if you go slowly and carefully you should be fine. I have used this method on a decent number of consoles and never had any issues, but if you are concerned feel free to send me an email with your questions: rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • dude ure off d hook, thanks alot man you are a life saver

  • will the md5summer step work for a mac? - I'm not sure what application to open it with.

  • @sebbyconti Hello fellow mac user!

  • @RVLhacks Linux instructions are similar. Open terminal. type

    cd Downloads

    then type

    sudo md5sum Wii\ Softmod\ v3.zip

    the output should be f8950330a2374b4d38a3d809688dc4d2

Thumbs up so people can see this.

  • @adam3251 Thanks, but the sudo is not needed. Why be # when you can be $ :D

  • @sebbyconti me too

  • ok erm.... thanks for helping but now somehow i got onto the bootmii menu thing where it says wii, homebrew, sd, settings..... but it skipped all that hacking bit you said so now i have no WAD manager... :S

  • @kashbash060695 Put the files from step 2 on your card and then run, you have step 3's files.

  • when i click launch bootmii it just turns black nothing happens

    help please ? :s

  • @kashbash060695 If you are unable to launch BootMii makes sure you have the bootmii folder on the root of your SD card. If the folder IS there and it still does not work that likely means your SD card is not compatible with MINI (the IOS replacement that runs bootmii) and you would need to try a different card.

  • I'm on step 2, I'll have Turn off your Wii manually and eject the SD. I can't get the unit to per-loader, it just has a black screen. Is there a quick fix for this?

  • help i cannot run the optional thing at the bigginning of the video since im a mac user and it wont let me do it..... but i copied all the files on the sd card but when i put it on the wii and press ''launch bootmii'' my screen goes black and nothing else happens!!! HELP PLEASE THANK U!!!

  • @krizzhit Hello fellow mac user! Macs can do this also. Open Terminal (in the Utilities folder). • @RVLhacks ummm IM LOST!!! :( no idea what ur talkin bout mate... can u explain that t me please

  • @krizzhit I did, with a video :D

If you still need help send me a PM or email.

  • I've had some trouble- after installing the WADS, the screen got really twitchy when I hit back, and I kept getting back to the 'THIS SOFTWARE BLAH BLAH' screen.. and then I press 1 like it says to and it says the installer can't continue because there's no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii.. What do I do? D:>

  • @herbalface You had already installed the Homebrew Channel and BootMii durning Step 1, right? If you already installed those you are fine. The flickering could be caused if your Wii is PAL (Europe, Australia, Middle East.....) If you need further information/help send me an email: rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • Should i take a new sd card ?

  • @RealPoki I would try the Micro SD in the adapter first, but if it does not work I would try a 2 Gb SD card.

  • @500fartface Turn off your Wii and remove the SD card and restart it you should be back to your System Menu. If you need further help send me an email rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • when i press systome menu it dosent do anithing

  • On my wii homebrew channel, i pressed launch bootmii and nothing is happening. I need help.

  • @ctienyou Your SD card should be 2Gb or less if you are having issues try to reformat the SD card to FAT32 and ensure that you have all the files from the Step 2 folder on your SD card. If you still need help send me an email rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • I don't understand exactly how the mod steps would be different if BootMii is only installed as an IOS install. Can you be specific? I performed the pre-loader install steps but I cannot get the alternate bootmii menu to display.. It jumps straight to the health warning.. I have a newer Wii. I wanted to get the Mplayer-ce working.. Is that possible?

  • @jmarkwatts The difference is that if you have boot02 BootMii it will start automatically when you turn on your Wii, with BootMii IOS you must start it your self from the Homebrew Channel. To do this you must open HBC and press the home button on your Wii remote then selecte Launch BootMii and it will start. (To make a backup have the Step 3 files on your SD card). Mplayer-CE will work for loading music and movie FILES, however on newer Wiis you can NOT load DVD movies.

  • hey sorry to bother you but i just have a few questions does downloading this letterbomb plus these other 19 wads brick your wii and if i may ask what are those 19 wads?

  • @AJRockRed LetterBomb if used correctly has almost no chance of causing damage to your Wii, the 19 WADs are also very unlikely to cause damage to your Wii if they are installed correctly. The majority of the WADs are cIOS that are used for running backups and other homebrew and there are also three channels (USB Loader GX, NeoGamma, and LoadMii). And should something happen that caused damage to your Wii there are many ways to repair it especially if you installe BootMii boot02 and Priiloader.

  • @AJRockRed If you want a complete list of what the WADs install send me a message or email and I will list what they each install.

  • after i press system menu it just turns white what do i do!!!!!!!!!!

  • @brandonadams1234 I assume this is happening when you are finished with Priiloader, right? If so follow the instructions then instead of pressing System Menu choose BootMIi IOS from there you can start the System Menu. If you are still having issues send me an email at rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • @RVLhacks thx.i thought for a second that all u tried todo was breaj my wii lol

  • Respond to this video... wait wat do i do after i go to boot ios

  • @brandonadams1234 Choose the icon that shows the Wii system menu. Or if you want the Homebrew channel would work also.

  • @DaPokemonFreak your controller will shut off, this is normal. Try recopying the bootmii folder to your SD card. If your Wii is not NTSC (US, Can, Mex) then the BootMii config file must be set to PAL 50/60.

  • hi ... after i clicked launch boot me on the wii nothing happend and my controller went off

  • Comment removed

  • ah .. my friend say unplug my microphone.. it works now.. thank you very much

  • ok.. i need help. followed everything to the letter. both vids so far. after the wii crashes and you restart it while holding the restart buttton down.. my screen goes grey. take out the card and normal boot, same thing.. plz help

  • @RVLhacks oops not installed WAD I meant installed MIOS. (ーー;) My bad.

  • @RVLhacks ohh thanks

  • @FlyingMinccinos Not exactly, the MIOS is not in a WAD it is just the MIOS patcher that modifies your installed WAD and adds GC backup loader. Install all 19 wads but do not run MIOS Patcher.

  • thx, but saw another tutorial, a different way to do it, and i got it, thx. : )

  • Hi

Good tutorial. But is patching the MIOS Optional, And Is installing GC Back up laucher optional?

  • @FlyingMinccinos They are both optional. I should add the 19 WAD info as an annotation.....

  • @RVLhacks Thanks I have a newer wii so I have no use for GC Backups, Just USB Loading. So recap, Delete the mios wad and GC Backup launcher wad and proceed with steps like normal?

  • @RVLhacks I am on a Mac, & I was also thrown off by the "._010S236.wad" the UNIX Systems make lol. Just a suggestion I think that you should put in the description that those files don't need to be installed. Just saying :P

  • i cant download wii softonic , it downloads mega manager, what is this?

  • @jessica198624 You have to click on the link in the description, it will take you to MegaUpload. Wait 45 seconds and then click regular download (the black button on the right side). The files you need will then download.

  • @Ak47undershot Did you download it? If you did you most likely saved it someplace else, like your downloads folder.

  • i dont have the file wii soft mod on my desk top what do i do????

  • omg i used the wrong sd card all my data from my 3ds is erased and my games and photos omg im so dumb

  • @MegaDUDE450 You might be able to recover your photos with a recovery tool (usually free trials don't work) and I believe that eShop lets you re-download games that you already bought. Good Luck.

  • @RVLhacks yupp the eshop does let me download it again but i have 2 start all over in the games :/

  • @ALEXLION100 Trying to load games off SD cards is a pain, I would highly recommend a USB 2.0 hard drive formatted as WBFS. That will compress the ISOs automatically and does not have the 4Gb file limit like fat. Downfall is that hard drive (or partition) only works with the Wii and WBFS Manager, but once set up it runs quickly and is easy to use. DVD-R only work in old Wiis (Pre 2009 usually) and runs slowly if at all.

  • RVLhacks, dude you rock, thankyou heaps for the fast response. I took a gamble last night and went ahead anyway and everything seemed to work smoothly so all good :) I have one more question.... I downloaded Mariokart last night, file named Mariokart(Compress).iso , but it wont transfer to my formatted FAT32 SDCard. Its a 32gb micro sd in sd adaptor, I got it cheap off ebay and am thinking maybe that is the reason ? Wont burn to DVDR also. Any advice on the best way to install wii games ?

  • what is that file that you open after u put the sd card back in the computer ?

  • @moisaid1 The MD5summer? It checks if your download was successful and free of corruption from bad extraction.

  • Hey RVLhacks can you help me please :( Only 19 wads are installing and the other 19 are not, where you describe at 4:10. Have tried many times to no avail, what am I doing wrong ?

  • @ALEXLION100 You are okay, what happened is I made that version of the modpack on a Unix computer so there is a file like usbloadergxforwarder.wad and a system file that my computer made that is not a real wad file titled ._usbloadergxforwarder.wad, If 19 are installing you are okay as they all installed the Wii is just confused by the meta system files my computer makes. Sorry for the confusion, the older version was made on Windows so there were none of these files in it.

  • @timmy10100 Are you using a WBFS formatted hard drive with USB Loader GX? The default config that I put should work for most games as long as they are from your region (NTSC-U). If you still have issues try a diffrent game and see if that works.

  • okay so i back up a game i own and when i try play it , it freezes and makes some wierd buzzing sound any ideas?

  • one last question how do I downgrade to 4.1? or should i even do that, cause i hear 4.1 is better to use homebrew with? Is their a brick risk?

  • @olizelda 4.1 WAS better for people who have a modchip in their Wiis as they could more easily bypass region locks, for softmodded Wii's 4.3 is better because it supports USB 2.0 while older versions only support 1.1, also softmods can bypass region locks on any version. And you are correct downgrading is one of the most dangerous things you can do. If your Wii came with 4.2 or 4.3 you should NEVER install any thing lower than what it came with because newer Wiis have different hardware.

  • also there working fine must just be that certain game but are you okay to go online theres one game MK that i want to go online on but will it be okay to go online?

  • @timmy10100 You can go online with backups of games you legally own, if a game freezes at the Safety Warning there could be a few different issues. Most likely is that an alt DOL needs to be loaded the first time you run the game, this can be done with NeoGamma. If you need help send me an email at rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com be sure to mention the game that is having issues. Remember: PIRACY IS ILLEGAL. Play Fair.

  • ayup i have the hard drive and all the softmodded done and burn the games to the hdd using wbfs loader but when im loading the actual game it goes past the warnings abt connect ur saftey strap and then freezes loading the actual game any advice?

  • i did the part at 5 min 31 sec i did that and my wiii want trune back on ?

  • @SuperCodyshaw Where does the Wii get stuck booting, and how many times does the blue disc light flash? Make sure you completely remove the SD card and try holding down the reset button to see if Priiloader installed. If you are still having issues send me an email: rvlhacks [@] gmail [.] com

  • @ xxzg360xx Bluetooth is nit supported in BootMii so you can not use the Wii remote. Use the power and reset buttons on the front of your Wii. If you get a black screen and are using a PAL Wii there is a config setting to change. Also BootMii is really picky about SD cards, about 25% of cards are unsupported (even name brands like SanDisk or Kingston).

  • @timmy10100 I recommend WBFS as it seems to nearly always work. FAT16/32 also works okay but has a 4GB file limit. NTFS drives are supported to some degree, however it is not quite as reliable. If you download ISOs it does not matter if they are in a multi-part RAR archive (I recommend 7-Zip to decompress). If you have more questions feel free to send an email.

  • My wiimote all ways always turns off when I open bootmii and the screen turns black PLEASE HELP

  • Comment removed

  • infact real last question ive got some iso's and 2 say in brackets compress does it matter?

  • okay one last question yaknw when youve got all your steps done exsept for the gamecube bit ive got the hard drive and iso i put the iso onto the hard drive simply by drop and drag and then plug into wii and load up usb loader find the same i want and click play ? o do i need to do the wbsf thing ?

  • @timmy10100 Newer Wiis can not read ANY burned discs but ALL Wiis can play USB backups. You do not need a mod chip.

  • can i ask say i do all the instalition steps and that can i then burn wii games and play them or put them on a big external hard driv and play them because i really do not want to have to chip my wii

  • @MyBioshock Why did you redo the step? If you are having issues try redownloading the files and put them on your SD card.

  • I've redone this step but for some reason when i click on launch bootmii the screen goes black

  • @blackcraft2007 Make sure you removed your SD card and try a few times to get the timing right. If it still does not work try reinstalling it from MMM.

  • priiloader wil not load by me only the begin and when you shut down it comes again to the wii menu

  • Hey bro which multi mod manager versoin r u using please tell us

  • @kenneth1110001 I use Multi Mod Manager version 13.2, the current version is 13.4. Since we only use the WAD manager and App launcher it is not necessary to use the latest version.

  • Dude awesome vids I have a request ill email u but just wanted to say great work

  • Dude, your so useful, I've been wanting to do this for so long. The live commentary is awesome! It really does help. The only thing I do write the steps down and help people on chat sights like, xat.com Anyways, thanks. I will be using your videos to help me.

  • @MrFake60606vr Glad that you find it helpful, and this video is released under a Creative Commons license (all of mine are) so feel free to reuse it in any way you want.

  • @RVLhacks Thanks. DSHacker14 is good, too. But, your better for letter bomb and wii hacks. Maybe you should give a tutorial for how to hack/cheat any game. I mean I know how to but just to let them.

    Just an idea.

But this, aw man. I have to get started.

  • @kevincobain2000 the version of USB Loader GX in my mod pack does not have a pin set. If you forgot your pin delete the config file from te SD card, that will reset all te settings.

  • nice tutorial all worked well! What is the password for the USB gx loader. The parental lock pin ? thanks

  • @kdizzly101 Have you tried to manually reconnect the Wii Remote? On the SD card slot press the red button at the same time press the corresponding red button in the remote's battery compartment. You can also use a GameCube controller. If you need additional assistance, email me at rvlhacks [at] gmail [dot] com

  • my controller won't connect....help?

  • @kdizzly101 you need a gamecube controller

  • i have the same sd lol

  • Great work best tut ive found.

Hit an issue is step 2 though make sure all usb devices are unplugged or priiloader loads to blank screen.

Great work on the vids very well done

  • @Keontae0756 さん The size is 132CM (52in). Thank you for your compliment.

  • Your TV is AWESOME, what size is it. And by the way nice tutorial.

  • When I attempt to go into System Menu Hacks it says "Couldn't find any hacks for System Menu version: v385"

  • @Thndrst0rm さん You have a Wii with System Menu 3.4U, the hacks.ini was designed for a 4.3U Wii. I can send you a multi version hacks_hash.ini and Priiloader 0.6 that is compatible with 3.X Wiis. e-mail me at: rvlhacks@gmail.com and I will send you the files as an attachment.

  • @ab94a さん I show how to make a NAND backup in the next video "Step 3: Clean SD", but if you do not want to watch it all you have to do is copy the files from part 3 in the download to your SD card replacing the files from step 2.

If you have any questions feel free to send me an e-mail at: rvlhacks@gmail.com

  • When i open bootmii it automatically goes to multi mod manager but i want to make a nand back up pls HELP
