Modern technology requires a reference point in a clean room/temperate controled environment to be accurately measured with instuments. To measure something that has been in an ever changing environment (climate changes) will only give an indication of the objects age as it would have age within that controled environment. All the variances of the realtime environment age would be obscured in the final result. I refer to carbon dating. Maybe the carbon tax will correct that. Bad joke. Peace!
