Thank you for answering my question :) one last question though.... if Im having trouble kicking up, is there anyway I can practice kicking up? Would I need to build more lower body muscle?
@yansl14 Just doing the kickups will practice though I do have some specific techniques. I'm sure you have all the strength and muscle you need for this move, its just learning to use it.
@yansl14 Its not so much muscle being used as body shifting to keep your weight back. Just keep your arms perpendicular and don't let them move from that position. With a little practice you'll get it.
I'm just starting to do handstands against a wall, I was able to do it sometimes but sometimes my back hits the wall first, what do you think is wrong? Thank you!

@yansl14 Your feet should hit the wall first. One, try moving your hands out a little further from the wall. Two, get your body more vertical when you kick up. The arms should stay perpendicular to the ground the whole time and your body rotates around. It sound like your shifting forwards.
I generally prefer having them straight as it allow me to stay tighter. However, bending the legs at the knees does lower your center of gravity. Play around with both to see what works for you.

I think I am shifting, which muscle do I use to become more vertical or preventing any shifts? It seems like when I do get up there, its by chance.

When you are learning against a wall are you supposed to have your hands that far away?
Zanjistic 2 years ago
Whats shown in the video is a good distance. You can certainly go closer and if you want a straighter handstand you'll want to do that.

Cool, thanks.

your shoulders should be in line with your hands.

Good way to do hand stand push ups as well if you can't do a regular handstand for an extended period of time ;)
Thanks!
