48 Flares launched in just one attack run?? Not bad, not bad :-)))

Little hint: Launch only 1 series (2 flares) every 5 seconds. thats more than enough. When you see a smoke trail, than evade and launch 6 Flares (3 Series) within 3-4 Seconds.

I experienced that that's more than enough to evade a missile and it's flare-saving by the way.

IR's are very deadly little warning, and you may or may not see a smoke trail or launch of an IR. Oh yea I knew there was an IR launcher on this mission thats why so many. You would be correct in normal circumstance.

You're right. This things (IR-/MANPADs) are pretty sneaky :-))

I just think that it's very dangerous to launch too many flares in a short time, because you can run out of them too soon. The SU-25(T) is my favorite plane in Lock On and i made the experiance, that it's the best way to release them in regular intervals of ~3-4 seconds.

ok but you stopped lauching flares after your weapon hit the target. its even more important to cover your getaway, because those nasty ir sam sites tend to fire when under your belly ;)

This is for precise control, you may notice in outside view, that you can set various levels of pitch (look at horizontal tails). for pitch, it is better than on/of method seen in other sims. Still, joystick is a must for flight sims.

I dont know if hardcore... i remember beaming was working like magic in this sim, while it should work only against doppler mode. Also, a10-s cannon shoots straight forward, while on actual plane it shoots 7 degrees down. while not big issue, its also not big secret, and creates serious doubts about years of research and detailed precise simulation of every little blah blah proclaimed by creators.

I can run the game using a 1ghz processor, 512 mb of ram and a nvidia 6200, it runs somewhat smoothely on low settings, any higher then low and i get a horrible frame rate

I run it on a 2.7ghz Processor 2gigs ram a nvidia 8400GS it runs awesome on High Settings beware the night time flare launchers if you launch a bunch of them it lags a bit when you look at all them.

Hi, i played this game for 5 days now and there is 1 mission that i can use an aircraft carrier.. but i dont have an hook(u know what i mean) how can i activate it??

Press keys: Alt G or Ctl G or Shift G.

Cant remember dont play carrier that much but it is a good one, and takes skill to land on the carrier.

Go into options and input settings you can see all the key commands there... GOOD LUCK

If its the Russian Kuznetsov carrier- no. It uses a ramp and Russian planes' greater engine thrust.

man i dont know why but i cant play this game correctly. i played many jet fighter sims. i have a Saitek X52. my problem is, for an example i pull my stick and nese up my planebut when i stop pulling my planes nose SHAKES up and woen for a while and then normal. so what i mean? i cant make my NOSE steady. i cant TARGET ground targets becasue of this. very very bad :(. i couldnt play this game since years because of this. man .why i cant make plane steady.

You are probably flying too fast. If you are the plane buffets ( shakes ). Try this pull back on the throttle and turn on your air brakes. After you slow down to 500 kph take off the air brake and put the flaps down on a shallow dive that would allow you to lock up gound targets.

Go into Options and graphic set up turn down water level to low.

Also turn all planar to "active planer" run game at 1024 x 768 or even 800 x 600 will help poor frame rates.

Dont use heat blurr from jet engines turn that off, and no cockpit mirrors.

Game should run better.

I can run it super smooth with no probs, and my comp is pretty much average. amd xp 4400, ati radeon 1950pro and 2 gigs of ram.

If you get some shitty fps, go look for some mods on lockonfiles dot com. tons of stuff that betters your framerate there. Also Loman will let you adjust graphics settings you cant adjust ingame.

I got problems with that plane , in take off iff you didn`t go fast you can crash , i ussualy take of with 306Km/h , then at landings if I go to fast i can broke airbrakes or flaps , also i can destroy my tires and then if you press P accidentaly in flight you parachute blows up in air and then , fuck you , try to land however without parachute , and brakes are ineficcientat ground
