The cat isn't in terrible distress, but it is kind of uncomfortable. When a cat wags its tail they are either about to attack, or are irritated, angry, or upset. Cats also often purr when they are upset or nervous. This isn't abuse, but I do think it was a really bad idea for Checker's to put out these bags. That is very wrong to do, you can tell that the cat does not enjoy it and you should not that. You will be sorry for making video and putting your cut through with such a horrible act. They are finding owners of cats that do this and they will fine you. So I recomend you never do this inhumaine thing again for the cats sake and your own.

Haha, awesome. Sure the cat looks a bit uncomfortable, but this is definetly not ABUSE. The bag was probably taken off after a few minutes, and it's just a paperbag, it's not like it's a suit of spikes and death.
Wish I was a goon so I could've commented on the :awesome:-ness of it on SA, though.

Hillarious. I'm not saying I did it, but a cat with a poodle type haircut is equally hillarious. Ah, a bored saturday witht he wife out shopping..my wife...err..someone's wife was livid. Cat looked at me..err...my friend cross-eyed for a week.
But this is in no way abuse or even cruel. Now putting a mouse toy on a string and making the cat chase it for hours with no hope of being able to actually eat a mouse is cruelty.

You know, for many people who are vigilant with their animals, putting a pet in a dog sweater etc. is not such a problem. There are pet clothes designed by companies that are tested as safe. However there are many people who are not vigilant - & many, including kids, who are impressionable & act without forethought. They will think it's cool to put their cat in a bag & you can imagine the consequences. Animals don't need to be demeaned, especially for a stupid marketing gimmick.

I think this is freaking hillarious! I have a cat and I think it would be funny but he would scratch the hell out of me if I tried to put it on him. If you think this is cruel, look at all the dogs whose owners make them wear halloween costumes and dress them up in little dresses and booties and make them get married. The cat isn't in terrible distress, but it is kind of uncomfortable. When a cat wags its tail they are either about to attack, or are irritated, angry, or upset. Cats also often purr when they are upset or nervous. This isn't abuse, but I do think it was a really bad idea for Checker's to put out these bags. I can imagine some cruel people taping cats in the bag and leaving them in the costume.
