no, the "city" part is like the board game, a map of europe, and you do stuff i guess -_-, and the battle happens if your forces engage another army in the map. Oh, and I do play age of empires too and this is not a RTS.

You are a better man than me. I gave up on the idiotic pikeman a long time ago. I found myself constantly yelling at my computer "GET BACK IN FORMATION YOU ******* IDITOS!!!" Just wasn't worth the aggravation, and Italian spear militia are better in many situations anyway [sieges].

stationing pikemens while thay are on spear wall near the bridge are a usefull strategy but i found it more fun to charge elephanths while the enemy crossest

I just bought this game, installed it and was gutted when it said i needed a graphics card with picel shading 1.1 or better. Now i dont have a clue about PC technology so i dont know where i could get one.

do you have a pci express slot in your motherboard? if so you should get a graphics card. a 3870 from newegg dott kom should do just what you want it to do. but if you want to be blown away and able to play every game go for a 9800 gtx +. any more questions just ask. both cards are great

i had one where it was a big steep hill leading down to bridge (one of the ones leading to N.Italy from France) and i had cav. at top of hill and the enemy was not moving.i sent 2 Infantry coys down to bridge & started to cross until they came under enemy archer fire. then i moved the infantry back to my side of bridge and was gonna cross with my cav.but noticed they were starting to cross, i moved infantry out the way & waited for them to reach near my Bridge head then my cav came down hill.

trust me ill do anything to still play RTW but for some reason its only showing half of the screen now. but empires will hav totally high requirements. graphics r great, naval battles. all in all i think ull need a new comp. but i dont no shit about computers.

But yeah, I don't know all that much either man, all I can say is.. it may be something new u installed on your comp that is causing RTW to fuk up, also, go into the Official website and find the discussion forum and thier may be people have posted the same problem (or start the topic urself) & thier may be some people who have typed solutions to fix it, its worked for me in the past. yeah, i'll need to save for a better comp... i know, i am sad.

yo dude take it in to get checked out, i remember my computer was running so slow and laggy and i thought it was some software issue. but when they looked they found out it was one of the fans. it was just not a good enough fan for the job and causinf overheating, so i got a new fan put in for like nothing and the problem was solved and my comp worked beautifully!

i dunno man, the guy at the computer store just told me the fan they put in my comp was nowhere near what it needed to be for the specs i had, and that he just replaced it with an adequate one, that was made for comps with my specs.
