@kylelifecast You have to see it in context though I think. Have you ever danced in a club whilst drunk and heard a song you love?! Anyone who has knows that in those circumstances the music disappears in a matter of seconds (least that's how it feels) and whilst this may seem repetitive it's a damn lot less repetitive than many club songs. Yet, if you don't like it you don't like it, not gonna disrepsect your opinion, and I do see where you're coming from. Quite like it myself though = P

@TimKurata Thanks for hearing me out though. I do respect dj's on attempting on putting a spin to an original track, and as a listener I have my own taste of what I like to listen too. As a musician I notice these things. There has to be breathing room, there has to be innovation, and creativity. I am like that with a lot of songs which is the reason I will never listen to most pop songs, unless its catchy and fun ;-)

This is probably the best rendition possible for this song ... except for the "chill part" around the 3 minute mark (seems to be a must for any kind of trance song ;) but don't worry ... my personal favorites for this genre do it as well)

Well thanks for the comments, good & bad!

The track was made the way it is to be used in a club, hence the large intros and outros so DJs can mix with them. Same reason for the choice of bass as it works better on the dancefloor. There is an edit of the mix called 'speed mix' that a guy did with my remix which he has added some of the original Sonic sounds which is great for home listening.

I agree that it is dragged out too long, and does not have enough variance, especially in the intro. The song could be condensed to 1/2 the length and sound excellent, as all the other elements for a great track are there...

Great mix.

My two main complaints would be;

1. two progressive. IMO, the melodies work best when they sort of explode in your face with drums, nice tense dramatic changes.

2. the rolling bassline is nice, but it's an extremely simplified version of the original bass melody, and as such you lose a lot of the awesomeness of the original.

@Teqsinterrier - Yes, the baseline is different. If you want something to sound distinctly like the original, I'd tell you to look for a remaster, not a remix. The point of a 'remix' is to change a few things, but keep the song intact so it's recognizable-- which it is.

I love this remix. Yes, it takes a while to get off the ground, but it 'builds' to a climax like GOOD trance should. I haven't found something this nice in a very long long time. 5 stars :D

Ok...Chemical Plant Zone is among my FAVORITE TUNES EVER...but this remix is HORRIBLE. He's too lazy to get the base line right (it doesn't get much simpler than this) and doesn't even bother with the pitch bends.

Remixes like these--and their "artists"--are extremely overrated.

Get this on a 12" record i will GLADLY buy a copy. I have heard a lot of 12" mixes and remixes of chemical plant zone but NMONE have come close to the sheer power and energy that this had.
