@sirjazzhands story is possibly one of the most important aspects to a game, would you really be playing FF if you just spawned into random encounters over and over and over and over again? thats what thought.
@vey2go If the series had an interesting battle system, then hell yes. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The series also has poor stories, so that's also not an option. Really, Final Fantasy IX is the only game in the series I might play solely for its story.
