Funny how topgear (Jeremy clarkson) loved the viper and these guys hated it. Who are you going to believe these guys who only are on the internet and only shown in england or topgear, which is the most watched motoring show in the world and is shown worldwide.
i love Corvette's no question however the Viper is a better car its a real mans car ive seen so many women driving Corvette C6's and ive only seen men drive Vipers so that mean the Viper is more sports car than a Corvette and its 60 years old and they still cant make it better than a Viper
I'd pick the Viper just because its probably the absolute most exciting car to drive...I mean, what other car actively tries to kill you whenever you drive it? That's one of the largest attractions to the Viper IMO. Plus it requires a lot more skill than any other car to fully tame and utilize all the power...its just you, a V10 powered machine, and the road -- none of that computer-controlled bullshit like you'd find in a GTR, not even for normal road driving.
I love vipers .......i will choose the viper over a corvette any day because it has a stronger body......anytime you can take your pinky finger and press on the body and it can literally push the body down....thats weak material........chevy just focus on making the vette lighter than the viper.....fiberglass= death trap.............VIPERS RULE.....A TRUE MANS DRIVING MACHINE

@dobbins2550 i wouldnt buy the GT500, ZL-1, 392 Challenger or Boss 302 because they`re all muscle cars... and as such are too heavy, and too loosely built. fine for drag racing but i`ve never enjoyed a musclecar on a curvey backroad. Z06 and ZR1 are ok. they`re upper vettes, but vettes in general have their downfalls too, again too loosely built, the Z06 i drove had a serious front end wobble above 150kph and they just try to hard to be porsche or ferrari. CTS-V is trying to hard to be a BMW M5.
@dobbins2550 ACR is neat, i`ll agree with that one but they are as brutal to drive as a TVR, absolute lunacy. personaly i love exotics, and am hoping to have my own second hand exotic shortly enough. different vipers have always been a consideration, but i personaly find something like a Lotus Elise or Acura NSX to be more desirable to live with as a daily exotic. if i had the money though it would be an Audi R8.. but they havent yet had the time to depreciate like the others.

That leaves Aston Martin and McLaren, which are quite small-scale, but still very good at what they do. On the whole, Britain is a VERY small player in the international auto industry, but they have a couple of stand-outs that shine, more than anything, on their very British-ness.

I work in a shop that specializes in vipers- Weve had very, very few turbos come through, let alone twin turbo vehicles- Ive lost count of how many supercharged vipers weve done though. The engine bays are -horrible- in the viper for turbo, but theres plenty to bolt up a super charger.

Are you talking about the vettes or the vipers? I work in a shop that specializes in vipers- Weve had very, very few turbos come through, let alone twin turbo vehicles- Ive lost count of how many supercharged vipers weve done though. The engine bays are -horrible- in the viper for turbo, but theres plenty to bolt up a super charger.

@grannyapples21 the corvette zr1 is hand-made, and vipers are dodge, I don't know specifically about the viper, but as far as reliability goes, dodge and Chrysler (same company) is one of if not the most unreliable car manufacturer there is, as told to me by not only several dodge owners who had shit like a crank shaft snap in half, and a tranny go out on his way home after buying a brand new dodge, but also by a dodge engineer

@AlkatraaS - Hey. i dont think the Vipers garbage. I own the gen1 Viper RT-10 and I love my car. But none the less I think that most car critics want the comfort and luxury that comes with a price tag. The Viper doesnt have all the bells and whisltes that other high end sport cars posses. But it makes up for it in POWER and LOOKS.
Its a serious muscle machine that deserves respect. Calling the Viper Rubish is just plain STUPID
