My Dog, Maggie got hit by a car on 'Good Friday' the day before spring break. She was 5 years old. It's the hardest to let go when you know they could've lived longer. My Friend left the gate open and... what happened next was obvious. She was the most wonderful dog ever. R.I.P. Maggie.

Rainbow Bridge is kinda real. If you really love God put Him first and serve Him, He says when you make it to Heaven you will have a perfect place, and God can do anything, so I believe that in Heaven we will have our old pets if we want them. Go to a Church of Christ, it really is the right way

I had a dog named shadow. Looked very similar to this dog. She was a lab though. I was only 14 when My dad told me he was gonna do it. Seeing my dad drive off with my dog, only to never have it come back.... was really hard for me at that age.

We just lost our golden 2 months ago. He was the 5th one we've had and eventually lost. My advise is to get another one. You can't replace the one you've lost....but you can fill the empty place and give another puppy all your love.

While I really don't want to criticize you, you obviously adored Shadow and I doubt you'd ever intentionally cause him harm, chocolate really isn't good for dogs. Now I'm not saying that chocolate killed him (cancer is quite common in goldens and the poster who suggested you caused it was rather insensitive), but just because something doesn't kill your dog it doesn't mean it's okay for them to eat it.
(continued) I do know that it's sometimes hard to keep them from eating things. In his younger days Shadow was quite the table scavenger. He used to love grapes (which are horrible for dogs, but I didn't know that back then) he never got sick so I'd give them to him. Again, I don't want to be mean or anything, but I think it's important to discourage little mistakes that we sometimes make as well-meaning pet owners. Anyway, I wish you all the best. My dog passed away just over the weekend on June 20, 2009.
He had the same problem as your dog shadow.
Bone cancer had taken my 13-14 year old half Black Labrador, Half golden retriever. I have a video of him on my channel now.

lovely tribute no the pain well lost my girl to cancer also and as for people who ask about chocalate i also gave my girl a little choc as a treat and no this did not kill her how people can be cruel ...there your best mate and they leave such a empty big hole in your heart i also have a little triute to my girl if youd like to look its at rip skye xxx i also love the poem so true xxxx

they cant get cancer from it, and a piece every now and then doesn't hurt. really, i was on the Dog Bowl competition team, and in a dog 4H club :)

my two twin dogs both had cancer. I came down in the morning and there was blood on the floor. She had peed out blood. It was too sad! Her bro died about 3 years before her. Perry and Brice. I was only a lil kid. I knew Perry lot better.

he died of cancer. chocolate is not poisonous to dogs unless its pure! i repeat, he did not eat it for dinner, rather he stole if off the table every now and then. please people, no more comments about this.

this video made me remember my golden retriever named max. he died of bone cancer. wen they were gonna put him down i told the vet that i wanted him to pass away in my arms. so wen they injected him, he looked at me and yawned. and that was it. he took a last breath and i felt like i also did. rip max March 11 1998- September 12 2007

My dog Daisy went to sleepy about a week ago she was a yellow lab and had a pink nose she was very unique she was only 5/6 yr.s old ;( "Pray for those lost dogs"

I feel very sorry that you lost your dog. I know how you feel. At least your dog has been relieved from his pain. I had to put asleep one of my cats before and i miss her very much.

Looks like you had a very sweet and loving dog. I have a lab who is also named Shadow. Sorry for your loss, I'm sure your Shadow would just want you to celebrate the good times you've had together, as you did with this video. We all gotta go some day.

I know how you feel. I had my cat Mickey for 15 years, and just lost him last Thursday. I'm sure him and Shadow will get along just fine. R.I.P to both.
