Amazing, I didn't realize they had changed designations 3 times, VF to VA and then VA to VFA, (twice when I was in the squadron 85 - 88 (A7's to FA-18's)).
My father served on the Princeton from 1950-52. He was a radioman. I look at the "cruise book" now and then. He also served on the second "Astoria" in WWII. He was a fine man. I miss him dearly.
I like the movie my DAD was on the USS PRINCETON CV-37 in 1949 and 1950 its good to see what he went thru back then . He's gone now but his memory lives on

My dad Bobby D. McGehee served from 1955 -1957. He was strong funny and quiet.
