lloyd from symphonia and guy from the abyss. they all use sword rain alpha and tiger blade tempest ect. i think they are making flynn playable in the ps3 version along with the extra content their adding and the new character patty fleur who's a dual pistol/knife user way unfair
probably not or they would of done it. apparently namco decided to waste the space on the disc instead of putting all the extra stuff on it which really isn't extra cuz its part of the actual story. which is why i'm upset cuz its not fair since i don't own a ps3 and i already bought it for the 360 when it came out.
All said, we can't really complain. We did get it a lot earlier than the PS3 owners. Sure, some of us might be a little disappointed with this trade off, but it's not like Namco hates us.

It's great that this is coming for the 360 (the system I have) however, I doubt it would be a big seller. After all, it's also going against Fable 2 and Too Human, games that are getting more hype than this game.

Ah, It's been announced over in NTSC regions. Apparently the english localisation for the game has been done in parallel with the actual production of the game. You'll have to Wiki to find out more though, as I can't post links.
The Tales of series was started by nintendo, but not on the gamecube it was the Super Famicon. Also about eternal sonata the only extra content the game had was two playable Characters, Crescendo and Serenade and a new clothing system which allowed you to change the clothing the characters wore. Now thats not much of an improvement from the 360 version in my opinion.

MS is trying hard to win over the JPN/ASN markets right now, like getting DMC4, AC6, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery etc... so this would be just another step in trying to win them over. Bandai Namco have also had experience dev for 360 as well as signs pointing to 360 release before quickly being removed. May not be an exclusive, but good signs that it'll come out for 360.

I'm kind of hoping for what Abyss did -- a character with the 'traditional' Tales swordsman skillset, with a few new entrie, and a character with mostly unique techs.

Almost definitely x360 timed exclusive, and then to PS3 after few months up to a year. This is what they did with Trusty Bell, so I think this is most likely case.
Also, can't be Wii though because game is 720p. But, don't forget that Wii is already getting Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk.
PS3 all the way it's impossible for 360 to have this...but it could be a 1st 4 them if they have this....but looking at this game this is the same cel-shading design they used for Tales of Symphonia..they should of kept it for the sequel

Although it's all up in the air. That's the thinking I have about it. The reason a Tales game hasn't been on PS3 before... is because... there hasn't been one made recently. Sony have had heaps of tales games on PS2 though.
Have you seen the Wii's attach rate? Its horrendous compared to the X360's. The Wii may be selling like gangbusters but people are only buying it either for Wii Sports or some shallow family oriented party game. They're not interested in games like these. Which is why it would make more sense to release it on PS3/X360 since their fanbase is more receptive.

Wait, Sony have never gotten any Tales game for their system before so I doubt it will come to PS3. This is the last game from namco Xbox 360 will get and after that it's over. namco is tired of games which get bombed. They're not making money on 360 exclusives since they floped in the US, Japan and Europe. PS3 haven't gotten any RPG game yet more than Folklore which is a boring game. Gamecube got a Tales game in the last generation.

i doubt this will be released on the 360, at least exclusively. I mean, that system is not exactly the "go to" for japanese rpgs.

I told them all just a few more years and the 360 will be everything, if this tales game becomes better than the others that are now coming, there is a high chance that Namco will work with this more than the other. I'm telling you 360 is picking everyone slowly XD

I'm kind of hoping for what Abyss did -- a character with the 'traditional' Tales swordsman skillset, with a few new entrie, and a character with mostly unique techs.

uhm No. Nothing's official. Might be to all 3 platforms or only PS3 ans Wii, since the Tales Of saga always been on Sony platforms and Nintendo.

Almost definitely x360 timed exclusive, and then to PS3 after few months up to a year. This is what they did with Trusty Bell, so I think this is most likely case.
Also, can't be Wii though because game is 720p. But, don't forget that Wii is already getting Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk.

PS3 all the way it's impossible for 360 to have this...but it could be a 1st 4 them if they have this....but looking at this game this is the same cel-shading design they used for Tales of Symphonia..they should of kept it for the sequel

Although it's all up in the air. That's the thinking I have about it. The reason a Tales game hasn't been on PS3 before... is because... there hasn't been one made recently. Sony have had heaps of tales games on PS2 though.

Have you seen the Wii's attach rate? Its horrendous compared to the X360's. The Wii may be selling like gangbusters but people are only buying it either for Wii Sports or some shallow family oriented party game. They're not interested in games like these. Which is why it would make more sense to release it on PS3/X360 since their fanbase is more receptive.

Wait, Sony have never gotten any Tales game for their system before so I doubt it will come to PS3. This is the last game from namco Xbox 360 will get and after that it's over. namco is tired of games which get bombed. They're not making money on 360 exclusives since they floped in the US, Japan and Europe. PS3 haven't gotten any RPG game yet more than Folklore which is a boring game. Gamecube got a Tales game in the last generation.

Wait, what the hell are you talking about O_o? Tales of Legendia, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Rebirth, and Tales of Destiny Remake all came to PS2 last gen and it even got a port of Tales of Symphonia. Also, Folklore isn't boring, or in this case=opinion.
