Actually, no, if you listen without any lyrics or anything, you can tell he says "my own brother can see that I'm starving for your love and I need attention or I'm gunna die." You can clearly hear the word "brother" in that part.

i can do this on my ipod! all u have to do is gently and slowly unplug ur headphone/earphones but make sure its still somehow in there. the volume gets lower and it turns into this :)

I think it is him, its just the backup vocals they may have added to the track to give it more depth. He's singing at a much deeper range than the lead vocals for the song.
