Billy Cundiff is one of the greatest kickers in the NFL today. He is not flawless, no one is. He made a costly mistake, which also falls on the ball holder since he didn't make laces all the way out. Anyways, congratulations to Patriots, if they face Giants in SB, I'll be rooting for Pats. But if they face 49ers in Super Bowl, I'll be rooting for 49ers. Anyways, the Ravens/Patriots game was an awesomely close game.
@Teefless Yeah he probably did "choke", but at the same time like I said, the holder may have also been guilty of not holding the ball properly. Anyways, it was a great close game nonetheless. Hopefully next year Ravens progress even further.

Laces need to be opposite side of ball so kicker has smooth side to kick and laced side (heavier side) guides the ball forward. Ask any place kicker, they'll practically tell you the same.

Well you may be right, I saw the replay pretty briefly, and I noticed the laces weren't entirely out and it looked like the holder didn't secure it well.
@Hollenthon2468 They took too much time to get their shit together, he was running out to kick with 10 seconds on the play clock, and the ball was snapped with like :01 or :02 Rushed play = rushed/bad snap = bad hold = bad kick. If you're a pro, from 31 yards the ball could be laces in and sideways - - you still should make that kick. that being said the ravens played great and should look forwards to a go at it again next year .
