@amnajalal What happened in Arab was actually the punishment that Allah gives to the people to whom a Rosool in sent with instructions to submit OR face destruction through Azab. The Azab in some cases was sent through natural force (people of Noah, Saleh, Lut, Musa), or through persecution, massacres and exile (Bani Israel who rejected Essa-AS). In case of Muhammad (SW) it came through the swords of his companions. Now Risalat has ended so only Dawah is the means to convert, not swords.

According do Aalims, Maudoodi Sahib was a " Naqliya" ya'ani Naqqaal thay. His translation in " tafheem-ul-Quraan " was copy paste of Molvi (Deputy) Nazir Ahmad Dehalvi Sahib. The prophet are masoom ofcourse but the point explaining is simple.. what Allah the Almighty has always brought the Prophet as an example for us, in every manner! and putting the Prophets in different situation, we are given all together methods to handle different problems in life. i am really surprised of ur language about a freat scholer.

i am living in Sydney and the biggest masjid in sydney is in our Suburb. lst month one Arab Scholer was saying in his speech that it was Syed Qutub Shadeed in Arab world and Syed Maudoodi in subcontinant who Put the Ummah on the right path in this century.

i think you need to study some of his books speacially Khilafat o malokiat.

For ur information, his books are taught in Saudi islamic universities. Ask any Saudi scholer about Syed Maudoodi. ask Shiekh Ibn a Baaz( the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arab. then you come to know the Truth. May Allah guide you to respact others.

I and hundreds of others came to Islam becasue of Maulana Mawdudi. We did try other translations but they were third rate and not as well researched and documented as his. #You have no idea
