Say you have 3 people running. A B and C You vote for your 1st 2nd and 3rd choices. You count all the 1st choices say: A = 10 B = 9 C = 8 You take the bottom one off and look at those people's 2nd choice. Say those 8 people who voted for C picked as their second choice A=3 B=5 You add those to their totals A now has 13 votes B now has 14 votes
