  • Jew is a people not a race....10 of the 12 tribes where scattered all over the world(mostly US/Canada/Europe)...Many are blind that are of Judah(Romans 11:25-26 ) OT (Isaiah 7:14) makes it clear the NT is accurate and along with (Psalms 22:18).. (Ezekiel 37:16-17) We see Judah and Joseph will be made one in the end. Most Judaism Jews are blind til the fulfillment of the Gentiles. How one can not accept the NT when it is wrote in so many OT prophicies is beyond me. YHVH knows all.

  • You're a Jew and you're happy about it. But many people are Jewish and aren't happy about it. It's a great catastrophe to have Judaism.....with it's concommitant anti-Semitism, and inability to particcipate in Christmas, Easter, (and yikes! -- even Halloween and Thanksgiving...because these too, aren't "Jewish" holidays?), the feeling of being an outsider, the fear of every non-Jew being a potntial anti-semite, Not being able to enter exclusive clubs....no, Judiaim's price is too high for ME!

  • I meant who care what she thinks about that shit

    you do!!

    evidently.

    :)

  • Oh, and I'm gonna go hear her speak, I'm soooooo excited!!! :)

  • Wow how old are you?

    Grow the hell up

and stop trying to be funny while you're at it..

  • I find Rebbetzin Jungreis to be quite repulsive.

In her first book, "The Jewish Soul On Fire" she made at least three comments on why "Republicansim" (that is, living in a Republic) is an absolute FAILURE.

Here is someone who owes everything she is to living in a free country and ultimately, she has to say it's FAILURE.

There is nothing else I can expect from someone that puts her hand on the US Constitution to affirm Jewish Religious Law, rather than the other way 'round.

  • Wow...

You read her book and she tells you her OPINION and you think shes repulsive? You don't even know her. What was her reason in thinking that? She must have had a logical explanation to her reasoning.

  • The explanation of her expressing what she does as I've criticized is is quite simple; Rebbetzin Jungreis PUTS JEWISH RELIGIOUS LAW AS SUPERIOR (in her "mind") to the US Constituion and the VALUES of LIVING IN A REPUBLIC.

Like most religious people, SHE SAYS THIS OPENLY AND I DON'T LIKE IT; I DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT AND I SAY SO OPENLY.

  • TheRealMissTerror--

Let's get a few things straight, you presumptuous, pusillanimous pipsqueak.

When someone puts down their thoughts FOR EVERYONE TO READ in a WEEKLY COLUMN ("The Jewish Press") AND a book that's OVER 240 PAGES long (and that's just one book of several she's written) I have THE RIGHT to form an opinion of this supercilious OGRE.

When a person puts their beliefs and opions in the public eye, IT IS MY RIGHT TO FORM AN OPINION OF THIS PERSON'S IDEAS AND EVEN THEIR PERSONA.

  • First of all, I didn't say YOU aren't entitled to YOUR opinion but so is she!

SO WHAT?! she loves her religion

    WHO CARES

    not me.

  • TheRealMissTerror--

You cared SO LITTLE you actually TOOK THE TIME to express YOUR opinion TO ME because you obviously DIDN'T CARE.

You must be either rather young or someone with very severe emotional problems.

  • MRROGERRENNER--

    That's okay; I don't think you're going there, either.

  • i could not agree more with this extraordinary woman. i could not be more prouder than I am of my Jewishness. I often complain about my fellow Jews, and am often scared by the fact that most of the world wants me dead just because I am a Jew. and yet, if given a choice, would I choose to be a gentile rather than a Jew? No way!

  • Comment removed

  • nakedBison--

In my lifetime most self-loathing Jews I have met have been of the left-wing variety; Noam Chomsky is a fine example of this.

It's nice to see that there are also self-loathing Jews of the right/religious variety, of which you and Rebbetzin Jungreis are two VERY fine examples.

  • When a Jew is not aware of his/her identity and doesn't get a Jewish education, they miss out on the oppertunity to nurish their soul with mitzvos like shabbos and connect to Hashem, and get 'points' so to speak in the next world. But if they are aware that they're Jewish b/c their mom is, and want to find out what it means, they have that oppertunity and just need to go after it.

ps, aish dot com is great to go to

  • Oh if only we could all be Jews...

  • not necessary. we Jews never try to impose our religion onto gentiles. aside from the fact that such behavior is rude and obnoxious, we also refrain from doing so because we do not believe that only Jews have access to heaven. in fact, it is easier for gentiles to reach heaven: all they have to do is follow the seven laws of Noah

  • It's not easier nor harder for a non-Jew to reach Olam Haba. The Talmud says that every Jew has a place in the world to come...so it's not 'hard' for a Jew to access heaven.
