  • Thank you for the candy filled video.

  • do you have to ask permission to make a video in a supermarket or is it allowed in japan

  • Hello Kitty candy? Fantastic! :o)

  • Those chips are the BEST! I like those and O'Zack but those kettle ones are THE BEST!

  • haha I got the pokemon tissues once. Only the outside is decorated sadly.

  • I recognize a couple of those pochi labels, they sale a large assortment of authentically japanese pochi at my job (complete with foreign writing).

  • Wow just visited Kobe last weekend, really nice there, Only had one day though and wanna go back to visit some more. Got to try a lil Kobe beef which was good. Living in Osaka now it is so close luckily and can go again soon to see more. You teach there I am guessing right?

  • Thanks for sharing that Kevin. Brings back memories of when I was in Japan shopping for candies and snacks. Also Mitsuya cider candy! You have any idea how lucky you are? They only bring them to the states once in a while and when I hit up the Japanese markets they never seem to have em in stock.

Anyway I'd love more videos like these. Keep up the good work!

Now I feel like America is ripping me off XD then again their bags are smaller XD

  • Too quote a little line from the movie 'Grandma's Boy''

''I don't know what you are but i'm gonna effing eat you!''

    Just so much goodies :D

  • Great tour, Kevin! Hey, is that unnecessary hoarding still going on, or has that calmed down now?

  • truth be told? I'd probably spend waaaaay too much time and money in those sections... I was super excited to find DORAYAKI from Japan as a local asian shop...

  • oh my, so much yummy goodness!

  • Werthers Originals are my FAVORITE!

  • My favorite Japanese candies or snacks are Koala no March, Meiji chocolate bar and hard candies with cola flavor and fizz.

  • what's the title of the music in the background?

and your supermarket has lots of varieties to choose from..nice!

  • Sweets make me nauseouse.

  • Mini donnuts? OMG. I cannot wait to move there someday.

  • I am a sucker for grocery tours.

  • I really like your random videos, showing us how Japanese supermarkets look like, what kind of food you can get there and the likes ... Thx again! ^_^

  • Very cool video. Jagabee!! I have a friend who lives in Omiya and we did a candy/snack swap and she sent me that along with Strawberry, Orange, and Sweet Potato flavored Kit Kats. All of these were awesome! To the watchers, if you can find someone to do a candy swap with you do it! Kevin, is there any candy/snack you miss from North America that you want sent over?

  • it looks so cool ;D... i have never seen Japanese chips before :O

  • oh dude, don't kill me in the next day or 2 please.

  • aaah I miss Japanese supermarkets! Even you thought to know everything, there was always more to discover!!

  • The ad being shown on my computer was for a Diabetes cook book! I burst out laughing as you were showing candy after candy!

  • I always loved buying the Doraemon gummys while I was in Japan. :) Didn't know that there were Hello Kitty gummys! I loved the music in the background too! Anyway, thanks for showing us around the candy isle. :D

  • @jlandkev Please send me some snacks from Japan!!!! =D I wish but that'd never happen...right? =P

  • @jlandkev I think what you're showing us is more of a snack/candy section. It's more snacks from what I see. Anyway, the quality looks waaay better than it does in the US. Well at least this section looks well stocked after people went around hoarding things a little before. =P

  • I'll take a potato chip... and eat it! Now we all want to go to the candy section of our supermarkets =P

  • Grew up on the original Milky and Botan candy. Even as a grown up, I'll constantly buy the original Milky candy from a local Japanese market. I also still get a kick out of the rice paper melting in my mouth with the Botan candy. I'm not much of sweet eater these days (ok, not as much as when I was a kid), but when I get that package of Milky, it only last about two days. Hopefully, they'll be able to find a way of cloning teeth to grow back before I'm elderly.

  • Ooh a piece of candy! Ooh a piece of candy! Ooh a piece of candy! Oh to have the muchies in a supermarket like that.

  • Getting some sweet stuff now! :D

  • Kevin, to the employees ever question you for taking video footage, or do you just hide the camera when they walk by?

  • @artnwityr it was a night....not many employees. I am discreet and my foreign appearance may put them off from saying something. True though....not supposed to film in the supermarket!
