Brother, Khorasan is the old name for Afghanistan and was first conquered by Sahaba Karam(r.a) in Khalifa Hazrat Umar ibn Khataab (r.a) reign.

Geographically Khorasan comprises of eastern area of Iran, Tribal areas, including some areas of Balochistan and khaibar pakhtonkha provinces of Pakistan and Then most importantly Afghanistan which is the heart of Khorasan.
