  • If it wasn't for the wind noise this would sound alot like from the inside of a Jet Ranger.

  • Hehe, cool. Next time there will be less wind noise, I've found something to tape over the microphone to keep the wind out.

  • sweet, nice and smooth flying man!

  • Thanks! Gotta love how smooth big helis can be. :^)

  • Fabulous! Love the onboard sounds. Put mic foam over the mic and you might just get rid of the wind noise.

  • You know, I don't understand how the sound is as good as it is. The camera (and mic) is directly under the blades, in the downwash! The only time there is "wind noise" is when sitting still, or when the gusty wind comes in from the side at certain angles. Very odd.

  • Nice man, I like the spiraling towards the ground shots. Yes I definitely want to try a camera on my 550 whenever I get it built. Great video man. BTW is the little squares the designated heli landing zone and Pilot spot. I noticed you were on a piece of cardboard or sumthing too? Also post a pic of your Swift setup I am curious to see it. Awesome stuff man!

  • Yep, we have a designated heli area at the RC club. The landing pad and pilot station are some little plastic square things. Check out my Swift thread on RCG ("tales of the swift", in the electric heli talk forum) to see some pics of my camera setup.

  • That was great, & i agree with raynet11's shadow comment. I also loved the sound of the blades on the hard climb. What would really be the best is if you could do a full auto with AP ;) just imagine it.

  • Give me a little more time to practice my autos, and I'll do one with camera onboard. ;)

  • WOOT WOOT

  • Very sweet Chris, nice flying as usual :) wish I had your weather at the moment :( we have Gales and rain. Can't wait for the summer to come and let me get some evening practice in :)

  • The EZ Star flies itself, I just happened to throw a camera on it. This actually requires some skill (and smooth stick movements), looking forward to more videos from the Swift.

  • Great video Chris, nice sticks and nice shots of the field. I think it's really cool when you can see the shadow of the heli you were making passes. Nice job man !

  • Thanks Ray! Your EZ Star vids inspired me. :)
