I actually find that Amelia's voice better compliments the flow of the melody and is more pleasant to listen to. Sarah's talent is incredible, but in this context her voice is somewhat abrasive.

Amelia has a somewhat mellower voice than Sarah. Sarah's is more ethereal or angelic, it seems to me. The emotion is conveyed as the song builds to a slow crescendo in the last chorus. Listen to the varying parts that the Gregorians are singing... That's where it is...

I'm a huge fan of both HIM and miss Brightman so I was so happy when Sarah did a cover of this song! :) I think its a good creative cover, they make the song their own and manage not to ruin the original song. Of course its Ville Valos song and his masterpiece and without him it wouldn't exsist. I love both versions

However as a vocalist I should consider that Sarah has more professional voice in comparison on this song versions. But, what's a pitty, timbre of voice is what vocalist can change the less in the voice with his expirience. It's nature. You have it or you don't. They both have awesome timbres of voices but I prefer Amelia's one.

I haven't heard this song for great time and when I looked for it here I was very dissapointed with the voice I heard(in my memories it was brilliant and inexpressible but I heard although great but not so impressive voice)

However I looked for some other clips here then and realized that all is Ok.)

The voice is brilliant but it's other singer voice - Amelia's one. It's really voice of an angel in comparison with Sarah's voice which sounds like devil decided to play this role.)

Frankly I can't clearly differ Amelia's and Sarah's voices in "Monent Of Peace" but here the diffrence is more than clear. Sarah's voice is deeper it's more chest voice and it's sounds not so natural on high notes.

Amelia's voice is more open more crystal and it's sounds like it can suddenly break or vanish somewhere in the sky with the light breeze. I appreciate it dramatically.

She's an operatic singer and sounds beautiful, but that doesn't make her brilliant. Also, for clarification, HIM wrote (not ocvered) "Join Me". And sure, as I say, Sarah has a beautiful voice, but it's not as raw as HIM's original version. And it has all crappy new wavey kitsch instrumentals. So, voice = superb, instrumentals = shit. I think it would have been dynamic for Sarah to actually sing alongside HIM.

The instrumentals, gregorians, & effects in this version are of shitty new-wave variety inherent in what can only be called 'popera'.

While I LOVE Sarah Brightman, and the Gregorian style... this just isn't as good as HIM's original. I'm not even sure I can put my finger on why its not as good.
