  • lol, mac user

  • God Bless keep up the good work from Ireland.

  • Your playing is wonderful and so is the Erard. (I'm an Erard lover.)

  • Lovely arrangement!

  • Very nice play!

  • Bravo! Lovely arpeggio at 0:45 and also... that is quite a fine harp you have there, beautiful by sound and sight.

  • Lizzie,

As the only Turlough O'Carolan fan in Cut & Shoot, Texas, this is very impressive!

    Thanks for doing this!

  • lovely!!! i play the same tune on my tin whistle, but your version is absolutely better than mine

  • You play absolutely wonderfully, especially since you've only been playing for less than a year. I like the way you play Carolan's Welcome, it's my favourite O'Carolan tune. It's very different from the way I play it, kind of softer. Also I absolutely adore the harp you're playing on, a 150-year old Erard... Gorgeous.

  • Are you using lightly strung gut concert strings on the Erad?

You are improving before our very eyes!

    Compliments to your teacher also.

  • Yes Pheona, I think they are light strung concert strings. Actually the Harp belongs to my teacher Alice Trentham.

She has been my teacher since I started last June.

    Lizzie

  • Impressive! I have been playing for 7 months now, but am a long way from your skill! I don't have a teacher though....Seems I must get one quick! ;-)

    Happy harping,

    Mary

  • Without a good teacher , I certainly wouldn't be able to play the pieces I do.

    Lizzie

  • Bravo!!!

  • Thank you Maestro!!

  • It seems that you have a new and very professionnal new harp. How are you doing with the seven pedals? The harp suits you so well, Lizzie and You suit the harp so gracefuly....

  • Thanks Patrick. Ganbarimasu!

  • Nice job Lizzie, this is one of the first Carolan tunes I learned. :)

Did you get a new harp? It's beautiful.

  • Hi Thankyou.

Actually this is one of my teacher's Harps.

Her 150 year old Erard. I'm using it to get used to the pedal. Last week I went to the Salvi and Lyon & Healy show rooms and had a go at many of their Harps. We can't get one until about 2012, but I know which one I would like. It's plain looking but sounds great.
