this girl is allright. we already have 6 billion people overpoplulating the globe. who the fuck needs more!???!! if you're dying to have kids one is enough you stupid holes!
Otherwise helpless woman. He's usually very family oriented and is always in charge or the leader. Of course, I don't agree with any of these values and don't care at all for that mentality. I'm a young woman, unmarried but living together with my fiancé and we never want to have children. If other people are not okay with that, then tell it to someone who will care what you think. Because I don't give a shit. Go child-free!
For for most Christians I knew the ideal woman is a sweet, gentle, quiet beauty. A woman who's innocent, and submits to whatever the church or her male partner tells her to do and she must under all circumstances want to get married and be a mother or be involved with children before she's married (always has to be male since homosexual relationships are not heard of in Christian communities) The ideal man is the bread winner, someone very successful who can care for his apparently helpless ot
Actually, most Christian groups don't view it as a woman's right to have children, but rather a woman's duty. That's why childfree Christian women get so much flack from other members of the church communities and is why so many of us quit going to services. Most of the Christian people I knew have an extreme disdain for anyone who differs from their idea of what the ideal person is.
I'm happy with my baby, plan on having another someday. I've received a lot of harrassment for being married and having a baby because I'm "young." I think everyone's personal choices should be respected, whether they are childless or have 19 children!
I agree, I am 32 and my husband and I do not want kids, and everybody is looking at us like we are alien... but the fact is LOOK at this mess with live in, LISTEN the radio, WATCH tv, and READ papers, the world is a giant mad house, and you want to bring more human ???? it's selfish to do that... I cannot ask someone else to face the freaking mess with live in just because the society wants me to do so.... and KIDS are noisy, expensive, cruel.. just like gremlins...
WTF are you talking about. There's no shortage of people breeding like rabbits. So STFU. Humanity is not in danger because of my choice to be childfree. And even if by some miracle the human race refused to procreate. I wouldn't protest. Roaches will always have the last laugh in the end.
Speaking of God, Christianity and the bible all of which I happen to support don't believe for a minute that God commands people to marry or have children. People with an agenda like to twist scripture to suit their purposes. The "Marriage Mandate" is one such attempt to control people of faith. I like 1 Cor 7.28
"Those who marry in this life WILL have trouble, I would spare you this"
Truer words were never spoken. Don't let manipulative people tell you what God wants, read for yourself.
For me no kid is suiting me. Yes, I would like to have a kid, but when I balance things, what I get out of my life witout a kid is much bette than if I had one. People tell me that I do not know because I do not have a kid. But same, they do not know what it is to be child free at 39. Besides, I am pesimistic regarding what will happen in the years to come and I would not like my kid to experience it. I may be wrong but I do not want to take the risk.
I thought I was alone, at last, somebody understands why I don't wants kids EVER! I'm 24 and female and WOW... you would not believe the questions I get about my sanity :/
@jazzx251 Small corection in your statement, the chance of kid to get Down's Syndrome is higher in principle: The reality is different because older women are checked for that. This why, you have actually have more young mother with Down's Syndrome kid. They are not at risk so not checked.
Also the period is a reminder that you have a fetility cycle not that you SHOULD have children!
I work in a nursing home, and people still ask me who will care for me when Im old. Er, maybe your children? Dont want kids, never will, not missing out on anything, have a very nice life full of things I do enjoy, that I can do at my lesiure. Just do not want or like kids, or cats.
@dougnems I think the better response would be: "Probably the same people who'll look after you when you're old: childfree people like ME! I work in a nursing home! Do YOU work in a nursing home? Do YOU look after your elderly parents? No! Because you rely on people like ME to do it for YOU!"
what bothers me is that people criticize childfree people "who will care for you when your are old?:
can they count on their kids to look after them in the parents' old age? many capable seniors are put in senior places as their children are too selfish to have them living with them in their home. where is the sense of duty of looking after your parents?
@embracingreality exactly, my mother is in one due to a incurable disease, but I go every day to see her, evern if I only get half an hour at times, However I see 90% of the residents in there, unvisited, and that is confirmed by the nurses that work there..... having children is no guarantee that they will be there for you or even like you....My Mother has another son and daughter, (my brother and sister) that only live just over a mile away, they dont go and see her, and they have children !!
@seerymseery Good for you, I'm sure your Mom appreciates the fact that you appreciate her enough to visit her. To bad your siblings don't think enough of her. Actually a lot of people (not all) are parents precisely because they are irresponsible. Most of us were accidents' as a result of casual, unprotected sex. Then they pronounce themselves unselfish "parents"... Thats how I got here and I don't even know my bio-parents. The people I call parents are adoptive, I try to do right by them.
@embracingreality Exactly. Tell you even more. I used to work in the nursing home as a caregiver and most people don't ever get a visit although they have kids.
I like kids, kids are cute and they say hilarious things but I've never had the slightest desire to have any of my own and never will. I don't want a kid and I think a kid deserves to be wanted.
Telling people with kids "I don't wan kids" seems to make them feel you consider yourself superior or better off and you can bet at one time or another they've questioned their own decision to have kids or unprotected sex, as the case may be...
I agree that certain Christian sects fundamentally believe that a woman is only a baby-making machine who should be barefoot and pregnant all of the time. Mormons and Catholics are pretty bad at that.
Being a married atheist who doesn't want kids would make you an outcast and freak in certain parts of the US (i.e. Rural bible belt communities).
@paulcarson101 Why, just because you have decided this clip is important enough for you to put on your facebook wall, would I do the same? Surely, you don't want the kind of moron who would blindly agree and follow your e-posting, just on the fact a stranger says it so; post said clip on their own wall...surely you don't want that kind of fickle and instant-minded person on your side, I don't know, it's your comment.
I do agree with your point in essence, but not your sloganeering and over-hype.
Hahaha! Eerily similar to the beginning of that movie Idiocracy. Intellectual people rationally explaining the reasons they are not having kids (at least just yet). Then I was watching Sixteen and Pregnant and.....
I'm 33 years old, and I have never had the desire to have children. I do not understand why it is inconceivable for some people to believe that some women do not have the desire to reproduce. To be honest I would not be a good mother, and the future is not looking too good for the younger generation. It is more unselfish to adopt if you think about it.
@RetroJenny I have male cousins who tell me that not so many years ago other men would ask them why they didn't have any kids. That has very much become passe for men as it will become for all people. There surely is a jealousy factor. Will the day ever come when someone without a child can ask the other why he/she has children?
The biggest (if not the only) motivation of those who wanna have kids is the fear to stay alone while getting old, which is an absolutely selfish thing to do. All the rest is bullshit. There is zero sense in reproducing, specially in our days when the worlds population number is so huge which causes so many troubles.
notice how women who say "child-free " have majority REFUSED TUBES TIED? WHY? no other reason than they are NOT SURE-& will change their mind- show me your tubes tied- then u wont have to utube OTHERS to convince yourself- keep lying
@lmollot you are jealous of us because we have the freedom to do what we want, we have more money, our vaginas are not these big cavernous monsters, our bellies are not covered in stretch marks with folds of wrinkled skin, our breast and perky and we are baby virgins. Why don't you go have another kid? lol have 5 more kids
@PorkChopMissPiggy All these things can be easily fixed with post partum plastic surgery. Over half of my childhood friends never had children. ALL OF THEM in foreclosure and/or unemployed. Childlessness is no guarantee of financial stability.
@PorkChopMissPiggy My CHILDHOOD friends say absolutely nothing except that I live in an area where over 50% of the homes are underwater and the economy is in the dumps. We, however, are doing fine, thank you. Our children attend private schools (and always have) and our yearly taxes are higher than the average national household income. If you do not want to have children, don't. Trust me, NO ONE CARES. YOU are the one criticizing MY choice to have a family. You clearly need to get a life.
@goldie795 Mmmm some people work on finding the cure for cancer, some people spend their life educating kids and some people get pregnant and have kids. Your so selfish. There are thousands of kids who are dying to be adopted. But nooo your selfish ass has to go pop out extra kids that the world does not need. You don't care about all the little babies that need homes. How many kids do you have now? 5? 6? I bet your pregnant right now. Disgusting and selfish.
@PorkChopMissPiggy And some people (like you) spend their lives insulting mothers on YouTube. It is not my duty to rear other people's children; it's human nature to want your own. I think I have it clear that I am beyond childbearing, but I do wish I would have had more. It is infinitely rewarding. Your poor grammar and liberal use of obscenity make it clear that you are abysmally stupid. Your decision to remain childless IS a wise choice. I hope you do not change your mind.
@goldie795 That's right, that's the attitude to have. It's all about me, me, I, I and who cares how the rest of the world is doing. Who cares if a little 5 year old has no one to love them or hug them or read to them at night. Who cares if the planet becomes more polluted with all the extra people. Who cares if thousands of little children are left alone with no one to love them. You spread your legs and had those kids because you wanted a genetic legacy. Me, me, me, I, I, I screw the world.
@lmollot You can't "just" get your tubes tied. A lot of doctors won't do it based on age and the woman not having children. Also, it is a surgery, and there are risks involved. Many many MANY women have looked for doctors to tie their tubes, and the docs have refused. It's not that easy to find someone who will do it.
I'm dog-free (also cat-free). Dogs are cute when they're puppies, but messy and leave hair all over the house. So, no. Maybe I'll make a video about it. No really, there is a MOVEMENT for people who don't want kids?? Why would anyone care? Your parents, maybe. I'm just glad my mother was child-unfree or whatever. And her mother. And her mother. And her mother...
@goldie795 And kids aren't messy too? Whenever kids come to our house they like to leave trash around after they eat or destroy things. Goes both ways. I'll rather have a pet than kids because newer generation seems to be getting worse. Don't forget about those teen years. Animals don't talk back.
@PorkChopMissPiggy Keep telling yourself that, dear, if it helps. Both of my children are teenagers (one a legal adult) and I am pretty free to do whatever I want. Having a family is what I have always wanted. As far as the effects of childbirth, I weighed 87 lbs when I found out I was expecting my first. I had a womanly figure (for the first time ever in 29 yrs) while nursing. So for me it was a plus. However, age takes it's toll on ALL women, as it will with you.
@goldie795 People refer to the Child Free as a "movement," and that's false. It's a community. We're not trying to push people into not having kids. A "movement" would be trying to get others to be like you, and that's not what the Child Free community is about.
I don't want kids because high cholesterol, a heart disorder, a hormone imbalance, both dry and oily skin, bipolar disorder, ADD, OCD, general anxiety, autism, and hoarding runs in my immediate family. Not to mention, I have multiple personality disorder. I am not fit to be a mother, and I like my house to be neat. I like cats better than kids and have no maternal instinct. And I hate the idea of pregnancy ruining my body. I got pregnant before and it was like a nightmare. Childfreedom for life!
i dont want children caus ei dont want to reproduce suffering, and cause i dont felel like beecoming a father.Iam french and many people troll me when i say that, only using the "you would not be bornt if your parents had thought the same".
Guess its hard to find wife sharing same values.and i know itdisappoints my parents so i just have to not talk this about them.
You should have to pass a thorough exam before being allowed to have children to prove you're capable. There's far too many major assholes bringing children into this world. They're unprepared, incompetent, abusive and neglectful. It's harder to get a fishing license than to have a child. If you think you're patient, double that and then have kids. Don't have kids because society tells you to. How many marriages fall apart under the pressure? Some shouldn't even get married much less have kids.
I am so sick of people saying that child-freedom is selfish. By itself as a decision, it can be, yes. But I am child-free and I volunteer to teach kids to read, give to a number of charities, and reach out to kids that are bullied because I used to be one. Most parents don't have the time to do anything of the sort, nor do they usually care about kids other than their own. I can't stand kids younger than 12; it's like a phobia for me. If I had a kid, how is that good for anyone involved? :/
I got a vasectomy once I was certain that I choose not to reproduce. Men, listen up: this is what you should do. It is the only way to be certain, and it has no side effects.
i discovered that there are many, many women who do not want children. (And they want to have intercourse just as much as you do.) It is only social pressure that convinces people otherwise.
I am just going to get a t-shirt that says "Hello! I've had a vasectomy" because I am so tired of hearing "You don't have kids? Well, you will some day." or "You just aren't ready yet". or best of all "Not having kids is the most selfish thing ever". Well, bringing a child into this horrible world just because you want and not taking care of them is selfish. At least I am man enough to admit kids aren't for me and I would not be a good parent because I don't want them.
Not to impugn your 'movement', but vilifying parents is not the same as touting the obvious virtues of remaining child-free by (reversible) choice.
So, let me say this: Child-free people know about parenting about as much as babysitters. Celebrate YOUR decision, by all means, but try and keep the uninformed opinions about what parenting is really like until you know something about the subject matter first-hand.

Yes, choosing to be child free is selfish, but so are a lot of things. Self preservation and self interest are two of the biggest driving factors of human behavior. Being selfish is not in itself a bad thing. After all, most things in life come at the expense of someone else in one way or another.
What is our childfree biggest point? We have conscience, and a lot of it. And what is a person with so much conscience and introspection? An excellent parent, most likely. (other than that, an excellent person in general) We could bring very well educated beings into this society while we won't. We have to live with this paradox.
@dangle66 True, and the unfortunate thing is that the only people that I see breeding are people who shouldn't be in the first place. Stupid begat more stupid.
Oh ok so the people who are parents really don't want kids but do anyway because they are so unselfish. It would be pretty cruel to have a child just because everyone thinks you should and then end up messing up that kid because you never wanted it in the first place. You know how you can't make yourself love someone that you just don't love? Well it's the same principle.
I don't want children, never have, and am not going to have any. I feel fine "missing" out on being a parent. All the things I can experience not being a parent will make up for it. Parents are missing out on a lot of their years by having kids, but I don't go around telling ppl they shouldn't be parent.s
Why do you feel the need to announce to the world that you don't want children. I don't like cats, why would I go around telling everyone that. I feel that people like you do things like this for attention. So that people would try to talk you out of it. I never freaked out when I saw babies in stores either, I never even liked babies, until i had my own. You have no idea what you would be missing. I do hope you change you mind one day.
@rimms What if I said "I hope you change your mind one day" to you? Does that sound right? Why are you telling her that? What are you encouraging her to go through torture and risk her life?
@rimms You didn't have to watch this. Everyone has a right to open up about something any way they want. People announce all kinds of things on social networking. But when someone announces something less common, like being childfree, it's less accepted because it's different. I give up. Society will never change. It's 2010 yet getting married and/or having kids is still "the only way" for some people. Everyone's dreams are different. We all need to learn to accept that.
@rimms I'd like 'to announce' to the world that I will never have children. More importantly, I'd like to announce that if I did have children (which I won't, ever), I would only do it for myself, for selfish reasons. To do anything else (to have children for selfless reasons) is an evil act which hurts not only the child, but you as well. This is why people feel the need to bring up their disinterest in having children. They want to make clear that their life is worthwhile in and of itself.
I'm to late. And I had no choice because I gave her my seed and she lied about the birth control. I didn't want to be a parent but I need to have sex without a rubber. On top of that if you don't have kids how do you expect to continue on after you die. I respect anyone who wishes to not have a child. I wish I could have kept it that way. When you see YOUR child born you just know that your that much closer to death because you see the cycle of life and death first hand.
Also, its not a big deal that you don't go crazy for babies, guys don't play with dolls or go crazy for babies but they still make excellent care-givers.
"Childless": is almost never used, its not something you should have problems with.
We're in a secular society, so I doubt that PERCEIVED pressure to have children is God related
Kids as a status symbol? Its horrendous that you would take such a view of a person's family. "Celebrity baby boom"- ha maybe that explains the birthrate in China & India. They seen [insert celebrity here] doing it so they done it. No wait, they didn't cos they don't watch US TV.
What I don't get is this. As a general rule, you do not buy yourself a pet if you can't feed it or afford vet care. And people will understand when you can't buy a dog because you're broke. But as soon as you tell people you can't afford a child they will tell you to get another job, or have a child anyway and God will take care of you and the child. Then somehow you're still a better person for having a kid you can't afford than not having a kid at all! Make sense out of that!
@klb084 I would not have a kid I could not afford. I know too many ppl (including my mother) that did that. Sorry, but the kid needs more than just love. Kids need other things. As far as "god" is concerned, too many ppl rely on a being that may not even be real. This world is full of kids that "god" has not taken care of. The poorest countries are also the most highly religious. I don't see God helping any of these homeless, starving, sick children.
@tigerslilly29 I agree with you! That was my point! It makes me mad when I hear people say "Go ahead and have a child anyway, even if you shouldn't." It's depressing.
@klb084 Exactly. Having children you can't afford is not responsible. A lot of people have children for the wrong reasons. Hell, most births are unplanned.
I say we all just ignore valegorn, for doing the "most important job in the world" he sure has a lot of free time to come on here and harass people who have chosen a different lifestyle.
And I thought that in order to raise children, you had to not be one yourself.
This is actually a very good video. Personally, I don't want kids either, although some of my friends (who are parents) perceive this as being immature, a child hater or downright selfish...On the contrary, I don't hate kids...they just don't fit in my world. I have my younger cousins for that. Besides, I've never felt the urge to have kids...not at all. People are different. What works for one person (parents having kids) doesn't necessarily work for the opposite! Thanks for posting this video
1) The majority of babies are accidents, it isn't selfish to keep them, its responsible.
2) Having a baby is not selfish. There are those who do have them for the wrong reasons, and are therefore put into the "Retarded" category. But to have children because you want to be a parent is not selfish. 99.99% of all cultures are centered around families and having kids.
Here is my opinion. 90% of the reasons people give to not have kids are pretty selfish. Sure people have kids for selfish reasons too, but not to the extent of the child-free-by-choice crowd.
But that isn't the underlying thing that pokes out to me. Child-free-by-choice people can't handle being a parent. Either because they are afraid, think they wouldn't be able to raise kids right, or their level of maturity is too low. Either way its a win-win, they dont have kids, less dumb people
@valegorn actually you are one of the only dumb people on here. Why? You said that "90% of reasons... are selfish". Get a dictionary and see what selfish means. I do not have a child in my womb. I CANNOT be selfish with something that doesn't EXIST! You're here calling people dumb when you can't understand something so simple... FAIL! I don't care about handling parenting, I've always been mature, and I'm not afraid of something that won't happen! Pointless post.
@artep2122 Oh, and one more thing, you my friend are probably the most afraid of having being a parent. Its ok you can admit it. Some people arn't cut out for certain things, you're just not cut out for parenting because you can't hack it. Its ok, you just like all other child-free-by-choice people are just afraid. I'm afraid of heights, therefore I don't clean skyscraper windows, simple logic.
@valegorn Like I said, I cannot fear something that can't happen. I won't have children so I'm not afraid. Besides I don't care if you think I'm afraid, think that hurt my feelings? :O
Finally who the frack are you calling kid, I'm 3 years younger than you dumbass. What are you, an old hag?
@artep2122 You're talking like a kid who don't know anything, that leads me to believe you're a kid. Most Child-free-by-choice are.
here are my reasons for you're intelligence level, you lack vision, you lack sight of the bigger picture, and you lack the understanding of the human nature (ie society, cultures, history), but I tell ya what, send me a personal message, we'll see if you have intelligence. But hey, if you can't, then thats one more thing you're afraid of.
@valegorn what you think of me doesn't matter, I'm a woman, whether you think so or not! Here you are commenting on my intelligence level and you do not know that it is "kid who DOESN'T" and that you're means you are! It should read "your". You cannot tell by comments that I lack those things, and either way, that has nothing to do with intelligence, it has to do with belief. For instance I understand that humans breed because that's what you do, that's nature etc...
@artep2122 Look, I'm not an English professor, so I got my "yours" wrong, its a youtube comment, sorry if I didn't religiously check my spelling/grammar.
Regardless its the meat of the message that has value, and so far you have shown us no meat. I'm am more then willing to debate with you, in fact I'm calling you out. I promise I'll be respectful, but I honestly want to understand your (heh heh, got it right this time) point of view. You seem to be the only one talking, so talk.
@valegorn 1) There is no good reason to come into existence. 2) Everyone is born, suffers and dies and most will burn in hell. 3)Your end can be very unpleasant e.g. Nicolas Berg 4)The world is not a good place. 5)Procreation is painful for women 6)You can be born with some disease. 6)There are no guarantees in life.
These are all facts (even if you don't believe in hell). Tell me why these reasons are not good. Do not say they are negative, it doesn't matter, that's just how it is.
@valegorn Um, don't you know about summaries? The summary of my reasons below is: life sucks! Duuh! You can't educate me, I am way ahead of you! I don't know where you got that I'm afraid of my own shadow and why you think I should never come out. Don't you understand what "exists" means? I exist, I have no choice but to go about and carry out my business! Next!
@valegorn Finally didn't I say that they were no guarantees in life? Why would you just repeat that then? Listen, before you try to argue with me, make sure that your understanding of english language is on point OK, b/c you are just making redundant statements and you're still not saying anything. Don't you have a baby to make anyways?
@artep2122 No No No, I show you my arguments, now you show me yours. Its quite simple. If you're unable to properly debate and you ma'm have shown us you just a troll with nothing of value to say.
@artep2122 In a debate, that is considered a forfeit. Look, i tried to be fair with you, even offer to discuss it in a PM, but it sounds like you're more interested in Trolling then intelligent adult conversation.
I guess its time to listen to Queen's, "Another on bites the dust"
@artep2122 Let me let you in on a little secret, the world sucks. If you are naive enough to think there should be guarantees in life then you are sorely misled.
But if those are your reasons to not have kids, then you might as well live in your safe room at home for the rest of your life, AND NEVER COME OUT!
Look if you're so afraid of your own shadow and you don't want your child to go through the same thing, then maybe you shouldn't procreate. Life sucks, get over it, rise above it.
@valegorn Oh and I hate to burst your bubble, but the majority of ppl who kids (that I know, anyway) are complete morons. Drug addicts, drunks, welfare recipients, neglectful, abusive, dead beat parents, jailbirds. That's pretty dumb to me. The CF are thinking of the positives of not having children, like over population, for starters. Not wanting kids to suffer in a cruel world. That's unselfish, as well.
@tigerslilly29 Next time just write me a PM if you want to write that many responses.
Its sounds to me you don't know very many good people in general, that is your fault. I know a lot of great parents. In fact you could say I'm surrounded by them. They're not perfect, but they have a good head on their shoulders.
Also, I'm baffled why you think you need to work for anything? Isn't it the American way to live on handouts? sigh........
@valegorn Are you just a troll? I know a few good parents, but a lot of parents in general are not good parents. I don't believe the hype of ppl being happy being parents when they're obviously miserable. I can go out in public and see many miserable parents, and I don't know any of them. A study in the 70's showed out of ten thousand ppl, 70% said they regretted having kids. I'm sure it's more now. The ppl that don't breed put more thought into having kids than the breeders.
@tigerslilly29 I don't know where that study was done, but here is how I see it. Parenting is not easy, its work, yes you will not like it at times. But the rewards far outweigh the drawbacks, (like my college degree analogy). There are parents who will probably regret having kids, but later in life, they wont. Just because there was a study done doesn't mean its fact. You can't believe everything you hear, there will always be conflicting studies.
@valegorn I just hate the ppl that claim they love parenting, but obviously don't. I realize parenting is hard work, but there are some real miserable parents out there. And I don't believe if anyone wants kids, they're dumb. Like you, I believe in choice. I have a lot of reasons for not walking kids. I wouldn't want to be one of those parents that regrets having their kids. It wouldn't be fair to the kid. Nobody in this world ever asked to be born.
@valegorn I would like to know also how I am dumb for not having a kid despite the reasons I gave, and why you are not dumb for doing that with all those negative reasons. I am not saying parents are dumb, just want you to realise how wrong you are. I love my nieces and nephews, but I will not procreate. You have to give me better reasons btw. Good luck......
@artep2122 I'm sorry, I didn't catch your reasons not to have kids, from the sound of your previous responses, it sounds like you can't have kids. If this is so, then you fall into a different category. You see, this is a child-free-BY-CHOICE video. Where women have chosen to not have kids when they are more then capable. If you can't have kids, thats very different.
@valegorn I am sure I am very fertile and I know what this video is about and yes I am child free! Scroll down to see the reasons, they are 3 comments below this.
@artep2122 Thank you. It's just sad that others JUST DON'T GET IT! We have a lot of reason for not wanting kids, but the only thing ppl can really say is that we're dumb, so thank goodness we're not having kids. Despite that our points are usually pretty good.
@artep2122 That's why I said to what's-its-face that stupid ppl have kids, and the CF actually think about the reasons. It's better to think before you act. It's ok to be spontaneous about things, but not when having children. I think the CF care more about the health of children than ppl who are anti-choice and spit kids out like it's going out of style.
You both I'm sure have very good reasons to not have kids. Thats fine, I won't go into if they are selfish or not, but you have to understand having kids is necessary. If you have lotted yourself out of the gene pool, fine, the more for us.
But the choice of having kids over not having kids is just that, a choice. There are those that have kids that shouldn't, and there are those that don't who should have kids. Its an unfair world.
1) If the person claims to love it, and you think they don't, who cares. It was their choice.
2) There are A LOT of parents out there who have thought about having kids before they actually do. They plan the best they can, and roll with what happens.
3) Having kids is NOT a bad choice, sure there are those that have them when they shouldn't, but nobodies perfect.
@valegorn I may make comments about these things on Youtube vids, but I don't go around telling everyone that obviously hates being a parent that they're lying. The difference between parents & the CF, is that parents question our reasons, but we don't go around to parents telling them they're wrong and they made mistake having kids. Parents will try to convince us it's the best thing ever, and "it's all worth it." What's worth it, exactly? The CF are always being second guessed.
@tigerslilly29 Thats not so much the case has I have experienced it. My thing is I get very defensive when people either have their information wrong, or say how stupid us "breeders" are. I mean look at that word, "breeder", its a negative word given to us by the CF crowd. Its crap like that that makes me want to point out how selfish being CF is. I could care less about second guessing CF people, its only when they want validation when I start to say, "sorry bub, its still selfish".
@valegorn I definitely have selfish reasons for not having kids, and ppl that have kids are doing it for selfish reasons. If you weren't, then why would you have kids? I would only not be selfish if I had kids cuz other ppl wanted me too, right? Even tho I admit that some CF ppl can be quite mean, "breeder' isn't that bad of a term, IMO. Technically, unless there's something medically wrong, we're all breeders, just some of us choose to breed or not. It used to be a term gays used for heteros.
@tigerslilly29 Yes, there are many selfish reasons to have kids. When you compare them to the reasons the CF crowd thought, they're not as extreme.
Regardless, just for arguments sake we'll be fair and say there are just as many selfish reasons to have a kids as there are not to have one. The choice to have a kid may be selfish, but the act of parent isn't. A parent must work hard, sacrifice, put themselves second, this isn't selfish, its quite the opposite.
@valegorn You're only thinking about the CF talking about enjoying their life and their freedom, etc. The CF think about other things, like the world they're bringing a kid into, their future, over population, etc. Ppl that have kids tend to not think about these things. They think about the Kodak moments and how it's supposed to make them happy as parents, but they tend to over look how their kids may not have such a great life in this world.
@tigerslilly29 You're right there. There are CF people who do look at the bigger picture and that is noble. When it comes down to over population, the big bad world, and what might happen to them, these are valid concerns. The over population issue can be somewhat argued, and the big bad world and child's future are just risks of being alive. If those risks are too intimidating then I can understand. But there isn't anything in this world that is risk free or a guarantee.
@valegorn Not only that, but the CF are willing to take more non-selfish approaches if they change their mind, like adopting one of the millions of kids in foster homes. If ppl want kids, they should start by emptying out these foster homes. It shouldn't matter if they don't have your DNA. It's selfish to bring more kids into the world when there are millions of kids who don't have families and need parents.
@tigerslilly29 Parents are also willing to adopt. I know many people who have adopted that have kids of their own. I'm willing to adopt, but I'm not going to adopt all my kids. For me (and many people) it does matter if they have my DNA. Call it supernatural, but there is some link there that isn't with an adopted kid. But the argument could also be turned around, there are many CF folks that should adopt because they are good people with the means and capability.
@valegorn I've been told many times that I would make a good mom. And it does seem that some CF ppl would make good parents, I see ppl saying that a lot. But I don't necessarily think I'd make a good mom. Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't. It just wouldn't be fair to my child to take that risk that I "might" be a good parent. Not everyone would make a good parent. The only children that should be born, are the ones who are wanted.
@valegorn WHAT CAN BE MORE EXTREME THAN CREATING A NEW HUMAN BEING JUST BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE IT? Are you in denial? Most parents want to have something to hold and cuddle! They want it to have the hubby's eyes! They want to have an excuse to be jobless! Most of them NEVER think this all the way through, dodge their responsibilities and just can't cope! No, it's not selfish to care for a child, but then again, how many parents are as selfless as you say? Take off your pink glasses for a change!
1) I think its funny how you, someone with no kids knows what most parents think. Sorry, you have no clue because you have no kids. lol
2) Nope, parents who want to raise a faimily are STILL less selfish then those who don't want kids. I think this argument is so funny. The CF crowd is trying to go on the offensive by saying, "We're not selfish, you're the ones who are selfish". Classic "I know you are but what am I" tactic.
@valegorn Some of us have good reasons to be afraid! An addictive gene runs in my family. Some of us were lucky to bypass it. My uncle, father, and brother were not so lucky. I have watched my mother become broke down over her only son treating her and the rest of the family like shit, even though all we ever wanted to do was help him. I've seen my family fall apart over him and my uncle. I don't want to possibly continue this gene! I want to help stop it dead in its tracks!
@klb084 Being afraid is ok. I'm afraid of getting shot at, so i didn't join the military. I totally understand. What I was trying to say was it seems the majority of the reasons not to have kids are centered around a self serving agenda. They are too afraid of hard work and sacrifice. They just want to sit where they are and not worry about anybody but themselves. This isn't all of them though, there are many good reasons not to have kids.
I have never seen a happy parent until their children grow up an leave home. They say do not regret having children, but I see a different story.
For me, the decision to remain child free is simple. I am happier than all my friends with children, if that makes me selfish I really do not care. This planet is full of people, my contribution will make no difference.
I am happily married for 14 years now, and neither my wife or I can see any reason to ruin that with unwanted children
@arcflashvictim I absolutely hate these parents that claim to be happy, claim it's the best thing ever, but then they're constantly screaming at their kids and dumping them off on other ppl. They're just repeating all the things the commercials tell them. Actions speak louder than words, and most ppls actions haven't convinced me that parenting is all that great. They're not fooling me!
@tigerslilly29 Look, here is you're problem, Quote, "I absolutely hate these parents that claim to be happy". Quit being a hater.
Let me help you out, I know you're 33, but maybe you haven't learned this yet, Anything worth having takes a lot of work. And we all know work can be unpleasant. To a lesser extent, having kids is like getting a degree, you work hard, get no sleep, have no money, live on Ramen. In the end was it worth it? Of course it was.
@valegorn So then when the kids are up &out of the house, that's when the happiness of being a parent kicks in? Cuz I'm tired of these parents I know who are always talking about kicking their kids out as soon as they're 18 so they don't have to deal w/ them anymore. One of my fave quotes from a father I know, "She's getting a Uhaul for her 18th b-day." He's miserable, is constantly treating his kid like crap, then talks about how parenting is the best thing ever. Give me a break.
@valegorn And since I'm 33 and have never had kids, that means I have to work for everything I want without help from anyone. NO ONE--not the gov, or even so called "friends" will help you if you don't have kids. If you don't have kids, you are on your own. I know parents who are blissfully happy, and it shows the majority of the time. The others show very little happiness, but claim to love my parenting. That's a crock. And I'm talking about the ppl I know, and the parents I've been around.
@valegorn Oh please be more original, "it was worth it" Yea right, tell that to the parents whose kids embarrassed them by becoming criminals and now hate them and want nothing to do with them. I mean of course parents will say this, there is no turning back. You can't say anything else without looking bad.
I am happily CF at the age of 33, and have never regretted my decision. I have MANY reasons why I don't want children, some of them are selfish reasons, but most of them aren't. I have many, many reasons.
Here is a question for anyone : Why would a man want to have a child ( aside from religious dogma) when nowadays some women are deciding to live without them.Do men have a "maternal" instinct ? I think not. I have often heard that it gives a couple " a reason to stay together". Are not there other reasons as well ?
I'm childfree and if I wanted my freedom taken away I would rather murder someone and spend the rest of my life in jail than have a child for life. That's how I see it
this girl is allright. we already have 6 billion people overpoplulating the globe. who the fuck needs more!???!! if you're dying to have kids one is enough you stupid holes!

MsSbolin 2 weeks ago

IdoNOTwantKids ( d o t ) com
It is 100% Free. I simply create it to try and help others (like myself) to find singles who do NOT want kids.

My sister let her heart do the talking and had her first child at 35 - at 38, she's just got preggers with her second.
Your body is built specifically for having a baby - you're reminded for 4 days every month that you should be having a baby! (lol)
So it's no wonder that most females who can't have one, or can't get a partner feel the biological clock ticking as they approach their mid-30s.
After that - the kid could get Down's Syndrome.
But kudos to those who don't succum
jazzx251 3 months ago

Just do not want or like kids, or cats.
dougnems 6 months ago 4
@dougnems I think the better response would be: "Probably the same people who'll look after you when you're old: childfree people like ME! I work in a nursing home! Do YOU work in a nursing home? Do YOU look after your elderly parents? No! Because you rely on people like ME to do it for YOU!"
CalamityM 3 months ago 2
what bothers me is that people criticize childfree people "who will care for you when your are old?:
can they count on their kids to look after them in the parents' old age? many capable seniors are put in senior places as their children are too selfish to have them living with them in their home. where is the sense of duty of looking after your parents?

@embracingreality exactly, my mother is in one due to a incurable disease, but I go every day to see her, evern if I only get half an hour at times, However I see 90% of the residents in there, unvisited, and that is confirmed by the nurses that work there..... having children is no guarantee that they will be there for you or even like you....My Mother has another son and daughter, (my brother and sister) that only live just over a mile away, they dont go and see her, and they have children !!
seerymseery 2 months ago
@seerymseery Good for you, I'm sure your Mom appreciates the fact that you appreciate her enough to visit her. To bad your siblings don't think enough of her. Actually a lot of people (not all) are parents precisely because they are irresponsible. Most of us were accidents' as a result of casual, unprotected sex. Then they pronounce themselves unselfish "parents"... Thats how I got here and I don't even know my bio-parents. The people I call parents are adoptive, I try to do right by them.
embracingreality 2 months ago
@embracingreality Exactly. Tell you even more. I used to work in the nursing home as a caregiver and most people don't ever get a visit although they have kids.

It's all in how you say it..

To be honest I would not be a good mother, and the future is not looking too good for the younger generation. It is more unselfish to adopt if you think about it.

The biggest (if not the only) motivation of those who wanna have kids is the fear to stay alone while getting old, which is an absolutely selfish thing to do. All the rest is bullshit. There is zero sense in reproducing, specially in our days when the worlds population number is so huge which causes so many troubles.

I'm dog-free (also cat-free). Dogs are cute when they're puppies, but messy and leave hair all over the house. So, no. Maybe I'll make a video about it.

(And they want to have intercourse just as much as you do.) It is only social pressure that convinces people otherwise.
cmpilot 10 months ago

Sorry, this vid is shallow and vacuous.
Anecdotal and accidentally amusing, no more.

@OneVoiceMore I know enough about parenting to know I don't want to be a part of it.

Not to impugn your 'movement', but vilifying parents is not the same as touting the obvious virtues of remaining child-free by (reversible) choice.

Yes, choosing to be child free is selfish, but so are a lot of things. Self preservation and self interest are two of the biggest driving factors of human behavior. Being selfish is not in itself a bad thing. After all, most things in life come at the expense of someone else in one way or another.
LadyRuin2012 11 months ago
What is our childfree biggest point? We have conscience, and a lot of it. And what is a person with so much conscience and introspection? An excellent parent, most likely. (other than that, an excellent person in general) We could bring very well educated beings into this society while we won't. We have to live with this paradox.
Fdelphinus 11 months ago
@Fdelphinus For sure. Stats show people of higher educated societies have less kids.

Well it's the same principle.
nicoleholly77 1 year ago
I don't want children, never have, and am not going to have any. I feel fine "missing" out on being a parent. All the things I can experience not being a parent will make up for it. Parents are missing out on a lot of their years by having kids, but I don't go around telling ppl they shouldn't be parent.s
tigerslilly29 1 year ago 2
Why do you feel the need to announce to the world that you don't want children. I don't like cats, why would I go around telling everyone that. I feel that people like you do things like this for attention. So that people would try to talk you out of it. I never freaked out when I saw babies in stores either, I never even liked babies, until i had my own. You have no idea what you would be missing. I do hope you change you mind one day.
rimms 1 year ago
@rimms What if I said "I hope you change your mind one day" to you? Does that sound right? Why are you telling her that? What are you encouraging her to go through torture and risk her life?
artep2122 1 year ago
@rimms You didn't have to watch this. Everyone has a right to open up about something any way they want. People announce all kinds of things on social networking. But when someone announces something less common, like being childfree, it's less accepted because it's different. I give up. Society will never change. It's 2010 yet getting married and/or having kids is still "the only way" for some people. Everyone's dreams are different. We all need to learn to accept that.
klb084 1 year ago
@rimms I'd like 'to announce' to the world that I will never have children. More importantly, I'd like to announce that if I did have children (which I won't, ever), I would only do it for myself, for selfish reasons. To do anything else (to have children for selfless reasons) is an evil act which hurts not only the child, but you as well. This is why people feel the need to bring up their disinterest in having children. They want to make clear that their life is worthwhile in and of itself.
Attritive 1 year ago 4
@rimms Some people just don't want children. Is that such a hard thing to grasp? I'd rather regret not having children than regret having children.
LadyRuin2012 11 months ago
I'm to late. And I had no choice because I gave her my seed and she lied about the birth control. I didn't want to be a parent but I need to have sex without a rubber. On top of that if you don't have kids how do you expect to continue on after you die. I respect anyone who wishes to not have a child. I wish I could have kept it that way. When you see YOUR child born you just know that your that much closer to death because you see the cycle of life and death first hand.

We're in a secular society, so I doubt that PERCEIVED pressure to have children is God related

Make sense out of that!
klb084 1 year ago 49
@klb084 I would not have a kid I could not afford. I know too many ppl (including my mother) that did that. Sorry, but the kid needs more than just love. Kids need other things. As far as "god" is concerned, too many ppl rely on a being that may not even be real. This world is full of kids that "god" has not taken care of. The poorest countries are also the most highly religious. I don't see God helping any of these homeless, starving, sick children.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 I agree with you! That was my point! It makes me mad when I hear people say "Go ahead and have a child anyway, even if you shouldn't." It's depressing.
klb084 1 year ago
@klb084 Exactly. Having children you can't afford is not responsible. A lot of people have children for the wrong reasons. Hell, most births are unplanned.

If the listed reasons you gave are your reasons not to have kids, sound like you're so afraid of the world that you can't handle it.
I understand what "exists" means, but sounds like you don't much care for existing.
valegorn 1 year ago
1) The majority of babies are accidents, it isn't selfish to keep them, its responsible.
2) Having a baby is not selfish. There are those who do have them for the wrong reasons, and are therefore put into the "Retarded" category. But to have children because you want to be a parent is not selfish. 99.99% of all cultures are centered around families and having kids.
Other then that, I wish you well.
YouAreSoReallyDumb 1 year ago
Here is my opinion. 90% of the reasons people give to not have kids are pretty selfish. Sure people have kids for selfish reasons too, but not to the extent of the child-free-by-choice crowd.
But that isn't the underlying thing that pokes out to me. Child-free-by-choice people can't handle being a parent. Either because they are afraid, think they wouldn't be able to raise kids right, or their level of maturity is too low. Either way its a win-win, they dont have kids, less dumb people
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn actually you are one of the only dumb people on here. Why? You said that "90% of reasons... are selfish". Get a dictionary and see what selfish means. I do not have a child in my womb. I CANNOT be selfish with something that doesn't EXIST! You're here calling people dumb when you can't understand something so simple... FAIL! I don't care about handling parenting, I've always been mature, and I'm not afraid of something that won't happen! Pointless post.
artep2122 1 year ago
@artep2122 Oh, and one more thing, you my friend are probably the most afraid of having being a parent. Its ok you can admit it. Some people arn't cut out for certain things, you're just not cut out for parenting because you can't hack it. Its ok, you just like all other child-free-by-choice people are just afraid. I'm afraid of heights, therefore I don't clean skyscraper windows, simple logic.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn Like I said, I cannot fear something that can't happen. I won't have children so I'm not afraid. Besides I don't care if you think I'm afraid, think that hurt my feelings? :O

artep2122 1 year ago
@artep2122 You're talking like a kid who don't know anything, that leads me to believe you're a kid. Most Child-free-by-choice are.
here are my reasons for you're intelligence level, you lack vision, you lack sight of the bigger picture, and you lack the understanding of the human nature (ie society, cultures, history), but I tell ya what, send me a personal message, we'll see if you have intelligence. But hey, if you can't, then thats one more thing you're afraid of.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn what you think of me doesn't matter, I'm a woman, whether you think so or not! Here you are commenting on my intelligence level and you do not know that it is "kid who DOESN'T" and that you're means you are! It should read "your". You cannot tell by comments that I lack those things, and either way, that has nothing to do with intelligence, it has to do with belief. For instance I understand that humans breed because that's what you do, that's nature etc...

2) Having kids is not easy, its hard work, which is why most people either chose not to do it, or suck at it.
3) Before you go pointing your finger saying, "look how dumb you breeders are", there is just as much reason to point back and say the same thing.
4) Just because you have chosen not to have kids, doesn't mean you're going to be treated the same as those who did.

That's unselfish, as well.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Next time just write me a PM if you want to write that many responses.
Its sounds to me you don't know very many good people in general, that is your fault. I know a lot of great parents. In fact you could say I'm surrounded by them. They're not perfect, but they have a good head on their shoulders.
Also, I'm baffled why you think you need to work for anything? Isn't it the American way to live on handouts? sigh........
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn Are you just a troll? I know a few good parents, but a lot of parents in general are not good parents. I don't believe the hype of ppl being happy being parents when they're obviously miserable. I can go out in public and see many miserable parents, and I don't know any of them. A study in the 70's showed out of ten thousand ppl, 70% said they regretted having kids. I'm sure it's more now. The ppl that don't breed put more thought into having kids than the breeders.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 I don't know where that study was done, but here is how I see it. Parenting is not easy, its work, yes you will not like it at times. But the rewards far outweigh the drawbacks, (like my college degree analogy). There are parents who will probably regret having kids, but later in life, they wont. Just because there was a study done doesn't mean its fact. You can't believe everything you hear, there will always be conflicting studies.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn I just hate the ppl that claim they love parenting, but obviously don't. I realize parenting is hard work, but there are some real miserable parents out there. And I don't believe if anyone wants kids, they're dumb. Like you, I believe in choice. I have a lot of reasons for not walking kids. I wouldn't want to be one of those parents that regrets having their kids. It wouldn't be fair to the kid. Nobody in this world ever asked to be born.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Look here is what I'm trying to argue.
1) I don't care if you have a kid or not, I believe in choice
2) Having kids is not easy, its hard work, which is why most people either chose not to do it, or suck at it.
3) Before you go pointing your finger saying, "look how dumb you breeders are", there is just as much reason to point back and say the same thing.
4) Just because you have chosen not to have kids, doesn't mean you're going to be treated the same as those who did.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn I would like to know also how I am dumb for not having a kid despite the reasons I gave, and why you are not dumb for doing that with all those negative reasons. I am not saying parents are dumb, just want you to realise how wrong you are. I love my nieces and nephews, but I will not procreate. You have to give me better reasons btw. Good luck......
artep2122 1 year ago
@artep2122 I'm sorry, I didn't catch your reasons not to have kids, from the sound of your previous responses, it sounds like you can't have kids. tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Yup, we do have good reasons, and that's because we actually think about this matter.
artep2122 1 year ago
@artep2122 That's why I said to what's-its-face that stupid ppl have kids, and the CF actually think about the reasons. It's better to think before you act. It's ok to be spontaneous about things, but not when having children. I think the CF care more about the health of children than ppl who are anti-choice and spit kids out like it's going out of style.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 I agree
artep2122 1 year ago
@artep2122, @tigerslilly29
Its an unfair world.
valegorn 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 ok,
1) If the person claims to love it, and you think they don't, who cares. It was their choice.
2) There are A LOT of parents out there who have thought about having kids before they actually do. They plan the best they can, and roll with what happens.
3) Having kids is NOT a bad choice, sure there are those that have them when they shouldn't, but nobodies perfect.
4) We have good reasons to have kids as well.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn I may make comments about these things on Youtube vids, but I don't go around telling everyone that obviously hates being a parent that they're lying. The difference between parents & the CF, is that parents question our reasons, but we don't go around to parents telling them they're wrong and they made mistake having kids. Parents will try to convince us it's the best thing ever, and "it's all worth it." What's worth it, exactly? The CF are always being second guessed.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Thats not so much the case has I have experienced it. My thing is I get very defensive when people either have their information wrong, or say how stupid us "breeders" are. I mean look at that word, "breeder", its a negative word given to us by the CF crowd. Its crap like that that makes me want to point out how selfish being CF is. I could care less about second guessing CF people, its only when they want validation when I start to say, "sorry bub, its still selfish".
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn I definitely have selfish reasons for not having kids, and ppl that have kids are doing it for selfish reasons. If you weren't, then why would you have kids? I would only not be selfish if I had kids cuz other ppl wanted me too, right? Even tho I admit that some CF ppl can be quite mean, "breeder' isn't that bad of a term, IMO. Technically, unless there's something medically wrong, we're all breeders, just some of us choose to breed or not. It used to be a term gays used for heteros.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Yes, there are many selfish reasons to have kids. When you compare them to the reasons the CF crowd thought, they're not as extreme.
Regardless, just for arguments sake we'll be fair and say there are just as many selfish reasons to have a kids as there are not to have one. The choice to have a kid may be selfish, but the act of parent isn't. A parent must work hard, sacrifice, put themselves second, this isn't selfish, its quite the opposite.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn You're only thinking about the CF talking about enjoying their life and their freedom, etc. The CF think about other things, like the world they're bringing a kid into, their future, over population, etc. Ppl that have kids tend to not think about these things. They think about the Kodak moments and how it's supposed to make them happy as parents, but they tend to over look how their kids may not have such a great life in this world.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 You're right there. There are CF people who do look at the bigger picture and that is noble. When it comes down to over population, the big bad world, and what might happen to them, these are valid concerns. The over population issue can be somewhat argued, and the big bad world and child's future are just risks of being alive. If those risks are too intimidating then I can understand. But there isn't anything in this world that is risk free or a guarantee.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn Not only that, but the CF are willing to take more non-selfish approaches if they change their mind, like adopting one of the millions of kids in foster homes. If ppl want kids, they should start by emptying out these foster homes. It shouldn't matter if they don't have your DNA. It's selfish to bring more kids into the world when there are millions of kids who don't have families and need parents.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Parents are also willing to adopt. I know many people who have adopted that have kids of their own. I'm willing to adopt, but I'm not going to adopt all my kids. For me (and many people) it does matter if they have my DNA. Call it supernatural, but there is some link there that isn't with an adopted kid. But the argument could also be turned around, there are many CF folks that should adopt because they are good people with the means and capability.
valegorn 1 year ago
@valegorn I've been told many times that I would make a good mom. And it does seem that some CF ppl would make good parents, I see ppl saying that a lot. But I don't necessarily think I'd make a good mom. Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't. It just wouldn't be fair to my child to take that risk that I "might" be a good parent. Not everyone would make a good parent. The only children that should be born, are the ones who are wanted.
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@valegorn WHAT CAN BE MORE EXTREME THAN CREATING A NEW HUMAN BEING JUST BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE IT? Are you in denial? Most parents want to have something to hold and cuddle! They want it to have the hubby's eyes! They want to have an excuse to be jobless! Most of them NEVER think this all the way through, dodge their responsibilities and just can't cope! No, it's not selfish to care for a child, but then again, how many parents are as selfless as you say? Take off your pink glasses for a change!

@beekill82 RESPONSE TO 3rd POST
This post made me laugh.

I want to help stop it dead in its tracks!
klb084 1 year ago
@klb084 Being afraid is ok. I'm afraid of getting shot at, so i didn't join the military. I totally understand. What I was trying to say was it seems the majority of the reasons not to have kids are centered around a self serving agenda. They are too afraid of hard work and sacrifice. They just want to sit where they are and not worry about anybody but themselves. This isn't all of them though, there are many good reasons not to have kids.
valegorn 1 year ago
I have never seen a happy parent until their children grow up an leave home. They say do not regret having children, but I see a different story.
For me, the decision to remain child free is simple. I am happier than all my friends with children, if that makes me selfish I really do not care. This planet is full of people, my contribution will make no difference.
I am happily married for 14 years now, and neither my wife or I can see any reason to ruin that with unwanted children
arcflashvictim 1 year ago
@arcflashvictim I absolutely hate these parents that claim to be happy, claim it's the best thing ever, but then they're constantly screaming at their kids and dumping them off on other ppl. They're just repeating all the things the commercials tell them. Actions speak louder than words, and most ppls actions haven't convinced me that parenting is all that great. They're not fooling me!
tigerslilly29 1 year ago
@tigerslilly29 Look, here is you're problem, Quote, "I absolutely hate these parents that claim to be happy". Quit being a hater.
Let me help you out, I know you're 33, but maybe you haven't learned this yet, Anything worth having takes a lot of work. And we all know work can be unpleasant. To a lesser extent, having kids is like getting a degree, you work hard, get no sleep, have no money, live on Ramen. In the end was it worth it? Of course it was.
valegorn 1 year ago

The only reason I don't want kids, because I carry poor genes.
