I have the i3-2120 processor and I was told that tf2 should run great on it, has nice graphics and all but I get sudden black screens and sound looping for a couple of seconds. Its pain and i tried fixing by updating the driver for the i3, change directx modes and still I get the problem. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do?
I have a Core i3 laptop 4gb of ram and Intel HD 4500 integrated graphics card and play with 50-100fps. As you can see here, you will never be able to play online very well as this runs at like 15fps without any players or effects on screen. If you dont care about graphics quality, but want playability, I suggest you run the game with a config that reduces graphics quality like Chris' TF2 Maxframes config (google it) and run the game in DirectX 8 as well as consider using low poly count models.
Question...please answer cause I've looked everywhere. If I played this for a total of 38 hours, then it crashed and said the graphical accelerator failed and recovered...is that a freak occurrence or can my computer not handle it. Specs are (laptop) dell inspiron, i5 processor, 500gb left of hard drive, intel HD graphics, 3.80gb RAM left. Was it a heat issue if I was in a chair in a corner of a room? I must know cause it's my parents...not mine XD. Should I have a cooling pad?
@knightboi3 No, no, no, I'd play a high of 3 hours straight, I'm just saying over like a week or more I played a total of 38 hours. No again, the turned out to black, then it appeared again and gave me that notice about the graphical accelerator. I just don't get it because it only uses around 34 percent of my computers CPU.
That's how my game works on an Intel i3 core processor. Did you get the message where it said that the video card wasn't identified? And is there any way to make it run smoother? (I'm on a laptop)
@U2Freak96 yes you can make the game run A LOT smoother, but obviously it won't look as nice. This frame rate isnt very playable. I play the game with the same hardware at at least 50-60fps or more most of the time
Is there a difference between the Intel GMA HD and just an Intel HD? and i heard 20-27 fps is kinda shitty? but i dont know? Im considering getting a new laptop to play this game and want to know if i can run it fairly. Also how well does a AMD II Radeon 4250 run it, if you know?
@leon2457 that was 2 months ago i got it 3 weeks ago runs fine on a good server the only thing it if u see a straight line it will appear riggid so its smooth running just detail to the map u play on is lower even on a high setting it like that with all my games on pc Fallout new Vegas hl2 portal
Hey, I'm getting a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop soon, and I am planning to get an intergrated card, which is the Intel HD one. If I play it on low settings, will it run fine?
@legodude11 the intel HD doesn't good on low setting for many new high graphics demading games. you can run games like TF2, Modernwarfare 2, Black ops. and other check out my other vids. i have few games running on Intel HD.
@knightboi3 It's not. I had an 8600 GT and a Celeron 530 2.4GHz and CS Source wasbn't going further 20 FPs... mThis is on sk478 celeron . In sk775 and OC'd to 4.0Ghz... something like 200 fps.....
hey bro a question??? am i need have a additional video card to play this game you know i have a i5 650 with intel gma graphics integred but not video card extra so can i run it?
@T3hMarz I know i tried playing the game on my laptop with the X4500mhd but the new GMA HD is much better, capable of running almost all valve games at high settings( TF2, HL2, Portal.....)
@EzarKun The game is on 1680x1050 with almos no lag. I thinks it will run good on battle cuz it runs smooth on the highest resolution on my computer. It will run much better at 1280x720. i couldn't get the footage in a battle cuz its not what u call LEGAL version. It will mostly depend on your internet Connection/Speed.
This game plays well on an Intel HD 3000. Put the settings on medium, and away you go! :)

@BazzingGaa The sound looping is something that happens with all source games. I'm 90% sure there's no way to fix it.
