  • I wonder if someone sneaked one away into hiding somewhere? I hope so, as this car was simply irredible for the time. So futuristic.

  • yeah that would be great to see in say 2035. some guy checks out the old barn on the land he just bought and one of these is under a tarp like they usually find 50s cars now.

  • You never should have given it back, though I guess you didn't realize they were going to take them all out to the desert and crush them. I wish somebody had just driven away.. hiding it in a Canadian garage where it could be dissected and replicated, like alien technology at Area 51. ; )

  • You can convert any car you shoose to an electric nowadays.

  • True, but the EV1 (according to the GM suits interviewed in "Who Killed" said there was about a billion dollars invested in this project.) That kind of R&D is now all wasted, and the mass-produced parts and process of how it was built would certainly be helpful today to other companies looking to build all-electric cars, don't you think?

  • Yeah, that car would have been sweet to have as a first car. Haha, put some better batteries in it and get 300 mile range :o

  • WE WANT IT BACK!
