i tried it in after effects, i just couldn't make the worm look as smooth as you did. Thanks for letting me know! if you can make a tutorial in after effects only, they have the puppet tool which could also animate it, that will be awesome!
@miketherockutube I never used Video copilot for this one so I don't know if there is a tutorial for this or not.. I have seen some of the stuff on there and it is pretty cool and in depth so I assume there is something similar they have as this is a fairly common effect. This is done using 3d software to build,rig,animate a worm mesh and then comping the rendered layers together in After effects.
Adding more contrast on ur "nose hair" and more specular on the worm will make it look more realistic
