  • stop human beings from poluting the planet! save the geese and animals! they deserve to live like humans! not geese are the pest, humans are!

  • Being a long time hunter to hear something like this sad....

  • I could not stop laughing at these idiots the whole time

  • @SoxCeltsRevs Viruses, Parasites, crop decimation, etc... they're like giant sea gulls. Just relax, they aren't killing them all off.

  • Parasites? Viruses, what was the purpose?

  • 70 years ago this was happening to humans. Cool it people

  • Who gave human beings the right to hand out licences to torture? These magnificent creatures should be protected not annihilated.

  • They make a mess at our local park to the point where you can't even walk the trails. Every open grassy field in the park has goose crap everywhere. Like deer, the population should be controlled.

  • Why has this video been flagged as 'abusive' and can't be shared to Facebook? Who is responsible for that??????????????

  • @SoxCeltsRevs they leave fethers & shit EVERYWHERE, & they're aggressive towards humans. Ever seen how they can ruin a park or beach in one season? They eat vegetation from farmers crops too

  • GENTLE MY ASS!!!! what a crock of propaganda bullshit! ever been in contact with some of these demonic birds? ever seen them run down a park with all their shit & heathers anywhere??

give it ONE to TWO years; they overpopulate so quickly they'll be right back to where they were

btw your 'archival' footage was a relocation project. Way to lie & mislead ppl......

  • @turfguy87, you are pathetic. 'Demonic birds'.......what a joke. "The loyalty in Canada goose families is unusually strong. “Sagacity, wariness, strength, and fidelity,” commented one waterfowl expert (F. H. Kortright), “are characteristics of the Canada goose, which, collectively, are possessed in the same degree by no other bird. The Canada [goose] in many respects MAY SERVE AS A MODEL FOR MAN." Few humans possess the loyalty and commitment of a Canada goose to its mate and children.

  • @onyxescence model for man- wow lay off the crack pipe...... so lets all go out & take over whatever area we damn well feel like, attack anyone who has anything to say about it, shit EVERYWHERE every 7 minutes, & shed our feathers all over the place. Thats a damn role model if I ever heard of one.......... morons

  • @turfguy87 lay off the pipe yourself or couldn't you tell that quote was from F.H. Kortright - a wildfowl expert. Obviously the facts don't mean a lot when you want to express your own selfish small BIASED factless opinions. I'd rather see some feathers on the ground than garbage including used syringes, condoms, cigarette butts, food wrappers, discarded food, etc etc etc lying around.

  • WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO OUR GEESE DOWN THERE!!!???

  • WE are protecting endangered species!

  • @SoxCeltsRevs I think it has something to do with either parasites or bio weapons?

  • @SoxCeltsRevs some people say that they have become "overpopulated." but i don't belive them. they haven't done anything harmful to us. exept for a couple of them accedently flying into a plane engine. but at that time they had no intetion on hurting us. they were just flying in there regular migratory patterin and the plane just happen to be there. but i think thats what triggered all of these killings of the geese. since that plane accedent when it flew into the hudson.

  • @ThePsycoticboxman Those birds could have just as easily been seagulls, pigeons or bald eagles. It just happened that geese were in the air that day. Sure a huge gaggle of geese can be annoying. They poop a lot. I don't think they need killed off though.

  • @MsColdCanada they shouldn't be killed off period! but yes, any other bird besides the canada gease could have made that accedent happen. but i don't think pigeons could stop a plane engine in mide air because there so small compared to the gease. i mean the gease are very big and weigh about 10 pounds each. so a bunch of them flying into the engine could most certainly stop it.

  • I love to hunt them...they are good with gravy! I hunt by the federal and state laws...tooooo bad you cant force your will on to me. Likewise, the federal govt. belieives in a controlled balanace, and not in some overzealous indivuduals who live in huge cities and never venture outdoors other than by a computer monitor

  • @historygradstu, too bad the 'federal government' does include humans in their inhumane 'controlled balance'......humans have destroyed about 60% of the wetlands which was these birds natural habitat and it is humans living unsustainable lives using up about 20 times their share of the planet's natural resources which will ultimately bring YOU to the brink of extinction - it won't be canada geese or any other maligned wildlife. Grow a brain cell and open you eyes.

  • I love geese. Hearing people kill them breaks my heart. :'''''(

  • Thanks for helping me to realize why I have no regards for "humanity".

  • Why do farmers think they have more right to make money than geese have the right to exist. Having brought up 2 orphaned Canada geese, I know how sensitive, social and inteeligent these creatures are, and am horrified that they can be killed in such an inhumane way

  • @SoxCeltsRevs

So if they caused damage you would allow it??

The problem probably is that these geese damage the land of farmers. Land that we as humans took from them. Instead of trying to live together with those goose those stupid morons take the easy way by killing them.

  • they should do that with the USDA guys

  • The human invades natural areas this is the problem

  • @gabynumeros yeah we also make ponds & lakes for their dumbasses to take over. They can fly away to anywhere they want. We plant trees & foilage that they inhabit too. Do some more research before making a dumb statement

  • Typical backward cowboy mentality.

  • i dont get it :/

  • Are they nuts? Why are they doing this? These are protected birds here!!

  • wtf! why are they doing this?.This is absolute madness.

  • @liefhebber179 THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAA

  • There are creative solutions to problem such as a Geese population on a lake. Unfortunately, the USDA is not very intelligent. They are like cavemen, carrying their weapons to kill these innocent animals. Do they have any remorse for such a disgusting act of violence? I believe they will be held accountable by God, the One who created these beautiful creatures.

  • sei la,ta com cara de calabocagalvao xD

  • It's disgusting. We live in a world where we (humans) feel that we can just kill, kill, kill to solve our problems. If we, humans, want to put a limit on how many geese we want in our communities, than we have the RESPONSIBILITY control the populations with only compassionate and humane methods. Just because we are the big bad wolf of the animal kingdom, whey must we have to act so barbaric. I thought we were the ones with the biggest brains? I'm not so sure of that!

  • WTF is wrong with Americans we just love to kill anything don't we this makes me sick stop killing wildlife for fun

  • everyone voice your opinions please!

  • How can they DO this??? Murdering innocent animals who have caused no harm to anyone...how DARE they! Thanx 4 this info I will take action & pass this on. I LOVE Canada Geese! So sad...but this info needs to get out.

  • And, maybe most significant is that both New York airports are between 11 to 12 miles away from the park, making the USDA action not only repugnant but illegal.

  • Many articles refer to the killing as "euthanasia." This is wrong on two counts: the geese were happy, healthy, and thriving, not suffering from terminal cancer and requiring mercy killing and euthanasia implies a painless death, not a painful, tortuous one with the same gas used to kill people in Nazi death camps.

  • Kudos to IDA for taking a stand against this massacre. In a nutshell, here is what is wrong with the USDA's extermination of the geese: These were resident, not migratory geese, who stayed in the park all year round, and didn't fly anywhere near planes. The Humane Society of the United States offered humane solutions for population control, which were completely ignored by the USDA.

  • That's horrible! Thanks for the information!
