@TheJumper564 ....I don't think it matters... I never used one before but the whole concept is that it adds its own curl and texture itself

@TheJumper564 ....I would say put the text in first, i wouldn't suggest putting chemical in hair after a fresh cut because your pores are open and the smallest cuts from the clippers can have your head burning from the chemicals
