This is a very belated response, but what sort of claptrap are some of you peddling? If you don't have a beard you're a sinner? I can't grow a beard despite my best efforts. That makes me a sinner, does it? The beard is a sunnah of our beloved prophet, peace be upon him, it is not a wajib. If it were, then every male born would be able to grow a beard, you see? Do please try to educate yourself, and alleviate some of that ignorance. Islam came to vanquish ignorance.

This is a thing which needs to be clarified. The beard is FARD according to ALL scholars of the past!! So please don't say it's a mere Sunnah. Read the book 'Beard between the salaf and khalaf' in kalamullah . com

People should ask for Allâh's mercy on the shaykh rather than discussing his beard.

So I am a sinner because Allah did not grant me a beard? Does that make sense to you? Very few men in my family can grow a beard; they're all sinners? It does not make any sense. As I said, if it was an obligatory act to grow a beard, Allah would have made it possible for every man born to grow a beard. I would love to have a foot-long beard, but it is simply out of the question. It is not fard, whatever you claim.

The last reply to you! According to ALL scholars the beard is fard and its haram to shave it off. Now you see, i said shave it off, so if u cant grow a beard then its no sin for you. Besides our prophet said Allah commanded us to grow a beard and trim the moustache according to a HASAN hadith! its obligatory to go to hajj yet there are poeple who dont have money so please dont use an excuse that Allah would grant you a beard please.
