  • repeatidly press 6 and watch the ass rubbing magic

  • make an updated video man...can't hear shit you're saying.

  • so if i do what u do in this video i will high kick

  • Im doing mma and preparing for a fight, I can only kick at belt level, how long would it take me to kick high? Im 21 years old

  • Did anyone notice the door behind him?

  • Hi , first thank you for the great vid

i have a question if u dont mind

i'm only 16 years old , and when i try to stretch in the way u did

i feel pain in my hips bones

do u have a solution for that ? i can do a side split like you exactelly , not 180 deg but like u , though , i can't kick high , i can only open my legs 90 deg in the air !!

    any suggestions ??

  • @SimohammeD007

Just keep stretching slowly and kicking slowly and you should start making progress. Also make sure your kicking technique is correct and try to achieve a round fluent motion. Cheers.

  • @9kontaris9

    Thank u (y)

  • @9kontaris9 Hey i'm a 32 year old female i tried to put something in my VG but i couldnt spread my legs wide enuff so i tried your excercises and guess what? after a week of practicing i did it thank you for your help!

  • @9kontaris9 Hey i'm a 32 year old female i tried to put something in my VG but i couldnt spread my legs wide enuff so i tried your excercises and guess what? after a week of practicing i did it thank you for your help

  • @SimohammeD007 yeah man look just start doing it every day and you gonna see difference in just 1 week.

  • @SimohammeD007 Stretching must be done with care. If u do it to fast or uncontroled it can result in injuries

  • can't wait to start doing this. Need high kicks.

  • Thanks Ive been trying to find a way to improve my flexabilty for my legs

  • Hey, I have a question, I was stretching for a a few days now and I can get my leg up high but I can't fully extend it, it's always bent through the knee, which muscles should I stretch to get it to extend fully?

  • How long should you stretch for in each stretching session?

  • I'm 16 years of age and 6ft tall, I cannot kick my leg higher than my waist as awful as that sounds, I'm looking to be able to do what you do, side sicks, martial arts kicks alot more height etc. If I do these excercises daily, in time will I be able to do such things?

  • Hey,Why not Overdo the stretching/?\/?\

  • @NOMADSCrysis

Because of the risk of ligament injury.

  • @NOMADSCrysis you risk breaking your ligaments or even ripping / toreing your muscles...

  • omg that was a amazing round house kick in the beginning! lol

  • Thank you very much for explanation! I have some questions to you: Is it enough for doing high kicks only to sit in the splits, or you should train something else except this? I'm very closer to the right front split, but there is still a big distance in my side one. So, what split is more important for high kicks, front or a side?

  • Since when does David Attenborough do stretching videos?

  • Brilliant video. I've been boxing for 21 years now..im 29 years old now and just transitioning into Muay Thai Boxing, so after years of keeping my feet planted, boxing, i need to get those kicks above waist height..im fine for the body kicks but want to be able to perform the high kicks also. So assuming i spend 5-6 mins stretching in this manner...twice a day....5-6 days a week..this will assist both my kicking technique and the height at which i can kick??

  • @LCStreetPhotographer

Absolutely. I can only stress that -regular- training is of importance.

Thanks for the comment and have fun training!

  • @LCStreetPhotographer 6 months ago, i wonder how the kicks are now.

  • @Kinuhbud Hi there....my kicks are phenomonally higher than before...i cn use the High Thai , Muay thai kick with absolute ease now so we are talking head height an above...these exercises given by 9Kontaris9 hve helped me beyon belief...also..i hve my first competetive Muay Thai fight in 3 weeks :D...this has helped an worked wonders.

  • are u just a yellow belt?

  • @Videofreak518

    No. ;)

  • @9kontaris9 Then why wear a yellow belt???

  • Great advise. I should have tried simple ones before doing a pulley system on my pull-up bars lol. ShaoLin is also very demanding on leg flexibility.

  • Should I do 30 seconds each stretch? Also, how far or how much should i stretch out my legs with these stretches? To the point where it sort of hurts or where you feel the burn or pressue?

  • @DumLilV

1 till 2 minutes each stretch is preferable. You should feel the stretch, but it shouldn't be too painful, otherwise you risk injury.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • I'm 13/5 years old and my goal is to kick high for about 2.5 meters.Thank you for this. Anyways, this exercises is the basic for kicking high, there are more for advance.

  • Thanks for the vid. And I'm self training for my high school spartanette team. High kicks are the deciding factor to get in. Try outs are in may. I'm perfecting my splits first so I'll be better capable of high kicks, is this a good strategy? And do you think I'll have enough time to get the kicks down?

  • @couturelover1901

Definitely. If you train hard May sounds very reasonable to me.

    Cheers and good luck!

  • 0.0.. now i cant wait to start karate XDD

  • I'll do every stretch 1,5 to 2 mins long, is that long enough?

  • @Shadowmov3r

    Yes. Thanks for the comment!

  • i got stuck on the floor doing the first one

  • Hey I stretch for 5 mins at nights...is it that good? how long do you recommend and if doing it at nights is fine?

  • Sounds quite good to me, MaFioSo444 .

  • @9kontaris9 and is this gonna help me grow a bit taller too? LOL im 18 XD

  • thanks been looking for a video like this for a while nice one

  • Thanks for the comment, ImAKwlDudeLloolL !

  • so basically i would have to keep stretching to kick high? and how much stretching should i do?? and if i do stretches 2 times a day how long do you think it should take me to be able to start getting more height onto my kicks? right now i can only kick about the belt area...thanks alot man good vid :)

  • Thanks for the comment, 89lepore89!

Yep just keep stretching. There is no general way of saying how long you may take but you will notice progress week by week.

    Keep on Budo!

  • @9kontaris9 ok thanks so much and just one more question does it matter how many times a day i should stretch? i stretch like 2-3 times a day

  • 2 to 3 times a day sounds perfect to me, 89lepore89, just take a day break if you feel sore.

    Chhers!

  • thanks man ive added this to my favourites. im a late starter to martial arts and need to get my self more flexible BIG time

  • Nice video!

  • Thanks, tsi2568 !

  • it is good but y is he only a yellow belt

  • i am laughing because of the fact that he would not leave the door unlocked while he's doing those type of exercises which means he would get disturbed if some one barges into the room un announced.

  • why when i go to sit my knee turns in

  • @770Chase you have to exercise more dude.

  • is that lyoto machida?

  • Thanks alot dude, im gonna start doing these. It shouldnt take long as im flexible as fuck.

  • Thanks for the comment, chippa999!

  • @chippa999 I like your optimism, but these things take time.

  • @chippa999 lol that actually made me laugh because I was thinking the same thing

  • i do the streching exercises as you showed but when im done stretching should i practice my high kicks right after? because when i do practice mondays through fridays my kicks are ok not all that but after a little while like a few hours my growing of my legs get sore and i cant kick high no more and its been like that for 2 weeks and a half now.is their something that im doing wrong?thats why its like that?? please get back at me 9kontaris9 and please tell me what im doing wrong thank you!!

  • one thing not mentioned in the video. is actually doing high kicks. most preferably on a heavy bag. there will be a spot high on the bag that you can barely reach with your best effort high kick. you will feel a little stretch everytime you try to hit that spot. keep kicking that spot and doing these stretches. eventually you won't feel much of a stretch kicking that spot and then you raise that spot higher on the bag and do the same thing again. you will gradually start to kick higher

  • i can do that but....aw my back!!

  • OMG XD this comment killed me!

  • thank you

  • haha ur comment made me piss myself hahah !

  • me too x2

  • booya

  • Nevermind xD

  • How long would you recommend one should hold each stretch?

  • but very useful video ! ^^

  • what if someone opened the door at 1:50 ? lol

  • " just relax" then someone opens the door.. " oh fuck that my ballls"

  • @HunBountyHunter007 lmao in rl right now.

  • But what if you can't open your legs that far? I am not a very flexible person and I wanna learn a high kick, but my leg doesn't reach that high. I want to know what stretches I have to do in order to achieve the high kick, can someone tell me what stretches I can use to be this flexible?

  • That´s exactly the pint of the shown exercises. Just take it easy an practice several times a week. Thanks for the comment, BallroomBlitz15!

  • I have very flexible hamstrings and hip flexors,i can do front splits+i can do single leg squats from top to bottom with no problem, but when i try the side split stretch my knees begin to hurt.

  • @BallroomBlitz15 Exactly. You gotta be flexible to kick high.

  • @BallroomBlitz15 you spend months upon months, for atleast 3 hours a day practicing....

  • hahahahaha

  • im have 16yo I'm can't open my leg's like he never ehhh no training when I'm are kid :(

  • very helpfull....good job

  • wow thanks for puttin up this vid... i havent dont any martial arts in a while so im getting back at it. when i used to do martial arts when i was like 9 years old, i could kick very high and i had good flexiblility... now i just can kick as high anymore... but this video definitely helped, thanks

  • im about to join a kickboxing class im 16 i can strech easily like that guy cuz i play soccer so im used to it but i cant seem to get my kicks that high does anyone have any tips for me?

  • With shoes on, and not to hard, practice on a tree, and stech more then that guy, and practice, thats all

  • there are different types of flexibility. It sounds like you're good dynamic stretching (such as kicking) You can be good at dynamic and not static. However static stretching will help you get more range and control, like being able to hold a side kick.

  • when you cant touch your toes that is not good when you are an athlete of any kind. maybe the muscles you use to kick are flexible but your other muscles arent. but otherwise idk

  • this vid is beast man.....good video.

  • Thanks, TRFATALITY!

  • realy good instruction, thanks man

  • Thank you, durude!

  • Seriously dude, lock that door: you don't want anyone barging in when you're doing those exercises..

  • how long will it be until i can kick as high as my opponents head?

  • Depends on how much you train, your age and, of course, your own height and how tall your opponent is.. :)

  • nice vid im going to start doing this every day

  • Thank you for the comment, ante704!

  • Thanks for the comment, sTrikerBOOM!

  • Why do you call everyone by their names?

  • Out of politeness I suppose, myself1gcv. Besides those are nicknames and not real names most often.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Thank you, caelitus1!

I'm sure you'll recover it fairly fast!

  • LOL I was just about to ask how long you're suppose to do each one, until I watched the ending of the vid. Thanks man, my friend said he'll give it a try.

  • Thanks for the comment, RosesBlack!

  • Good video

  • Thank you very much, MisterSW!

  • omg how did he do it didn't it hurt?

  • Thanks for the comment, H4rm3t!

I live in Germany but I'm originally from Russia. =)

  • yello belt

  • Thanks for the comment, adwester111!

  • wow, I didn't even notice the door behind him. he's lucky no one came busting in like "Ha bitch I smashed the door against yo back!" other then that good video.

  • Lol! Thank you!

  • @SigmaStealth4 i know because apparently it's locked.

  • Cheers!

  • LOl 1:55

I would laugh like hell if someone swung through that door

  • hahahaha

  • @Quangsan Haha indeed xD!!!! That would be amazing

  • @Quangsan IKR LMAO AND IM DRINKING SODA AS IT IS SO IF SOME ONE DID I'd LAUGH LIKE HELL TOO. AND...SPILL MY SODA

  • yeah thanks. if i do this i strech all of the muscles on my leg? anybody knows an exercise which does? thanks

  • It is anatomically impossible to stretch all the muscles on your legs as they always wor in opposite pairs(while you stretch one you cannot stretch the other).

You'll have to do several stretches to achieve that.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • ok i knew that... my english not the best.... so if i do this 3 every of them stretch/the the different moves?

  • great video thanks

ive just started kickboxing but have little or no flexibility in my groin, its also really painful and stiff after a light stretch. One leg is apparently longer than the other could this be the reson?

I have good flexibility everywhere else but my groin and other kicks like snap kicks are no problem

    thanks

  • True, if you legs are differently long the muscles could hav developed assymetrically. Nevertheless it is no reason to give up! Just go easy on yourself during the stretches and excercise every day. The you should develop groin flexibility fairlt quickly.

    Thanks for the comment, clifty32!

  • thanks ill keep it up

  • Of course! The flexibility determines how high and how safely you can kick, while the desired speed is attained through regular excercise of the kick.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • ive started doin muay thai and get it hard 2 do a spining heal highh hick.. is there any 1 exercize i can do 2 help streach 4 this?

  • Just stretch normally and work on your technique as most of the time you also have to feel how to use your full flexibility, i.e. you can stretch further than you can kick.

    Thank you!

  • I'm roughly 5'8"ft. Could I still be good at MMA?

  • Of course you can, as long as you train hard and start off nice and slow.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • ur lucky tat the door didnt open...lolz

  • lol! =)

  • God forbid if someone was to open the door at 2:00

  • LOL! Thanks for the comment!

  • lol that would be hilarious he really is asking for trouble.

  • if i did this alot for my training how long wld it take to kick a 5'3 person in the head effectively??

  • Thank you for the comment and appreciation, Sobekkha!

  • hello,nice video

  • Thanks for the comment, justnobody5192!

I'm currently heavily involved in Judo and Ju-Jutsu, but I have been doing Karate for over 3 years and I also had been doing some Taekwondo, though it was like 9 years ago.

  • Thanks for your comment and respect, DigDiGy!

    =)

    once again thanx =)

  • thanks alot!

  • Thanks for the comment, Bonespirit07!

  • Sometimes when I begin to stretch, my hip begins to hurt. What am I doing wrong?

  • Probly nothing =)

You may have not get used to stretching yet, so just keep practcing!

    Thanks for your comment!

  • so it'll go away in time if i keep it up? for about how long would u say i need to do it until it stops?

  • Thank you for your support, wietse66!

  • when i do the splits type stretch my knees begin to shake uncontrollably. my legs dont feel like they hurt, and i feel the stretch but idk how to get the stress of my knees when i do this. have any advice?

  • Thanks for the comment, rampage42!

It's a common problem you mention, just take it easy and rely on regulary training. Also take care that the legs are really straight, even if you won't be able to split them so far, keeping them straight is the correct way to achieve progress.

  • its good that they shake. it means that you're working an area of your body that isn't used to being worked out. once this improves then you know that you have progressed.

  • Thank you, YawYan4Lyfe!

  • im very unstretchable but strong , bit strong ness without good fighting skills is not good at all. I rather be weaker but can kick very good.

  • I'm glad for you, wietse66! Thank you for the comment!

  • but what stretch for axe kick?

  • Basic stretching is the same =).

    Thanks for the comments!

  • dont i need to do fist cardio ore just that when u want to and u learn that in 2 motnhs

  • would you recomend karate or muay thai? Im thinking of doing a striking martial in addition to brazilian jiu jitsu. Have any advice?

  • It depends very much on the trainer.

Normally, karate is more into tradition and self-defence, while muay thai is more into sports and competition. But it may differ very much depending on the gym you train in.

What karate styles do you have in your vicinity?

  • im not really sure, the place is called national karate or something like that. i dont what type it is.

  • m8 remember me ty fo that scretching m8 i can kick now really high :) rmembe i was like a month ore 2 here :) ty much m8 i swear

  • but how u can get balance

  • kickboxuing i recomment

  • do taekwondo ore kung fu

  • I'm afraid I do not know what kind of information you need.

Keep in mind that it is your own body you are about to train, thus you have to feel it, explore it and expand your limits by yourself, and no tip can be more useful than your own moments of understanding.

    Keep up your efforts, buddy!

    Thank you for the comments!

  • Don't spread them out too far, start with less and slowly work your way up! Take your time.

  • go georges st. pierre!

  • Its still quite personal, my guess is 3-6 weeks, and 2 times a day would probably suffice. =)

Thank you for the comment, wietse66!
