  • I cut school to go see Soupy. Donna Duckwall let a group of us in to see the show. I was the last one in line and the kid in front of me took the last seat. I'm dead I thought. Donna looks around and says there is a seat up front, you can have it. Up I march and sit front row, dead center. I look to my left and who am I sitting next to - Fess Parker!! He looks, smiles and gives me a very friendly hello. Every time I watch this video I remember that special day. Thanks Fess, Soupy and Donna.

  • Mel also loved the three stooges and imitated them.

Miss you Soupy. You were my childhood.

  • NOT AN EXPLODING PIE!!!!!

  • Thank goodness this hasn't been removed from YouTube (yet). All the Soupy Sales Channel videos disappeared during the last week in April/2011.

  • How tall was Fess Parker? Soupy was wonderful!! My mother used to make my brother and I sit in front of the tv everyday and watch the Soupy Sales Show!! This is where I learned to hate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!!

  • I remember the one where Soupy and Frank Nastri kept asking each other "How high are we?" I always suspected they were.

  • mel gibson looks like soupy sales

  • Whoops he did!Two of my childhood heroes!

  • The Good Word says, "I LOVE THIS!! The King of the Wild Frontier Meets the King of Kid's TV! What fun!"

  • Thank you both for such great childhood memories!

    R.I.P.

Soupy was a riot weven funnier now and Fess was gentle

  • Rest in peace Fess.

  • THIS IS GREAT!!! RIP BOTH OF YOU

  • Anybody remember the live commercials he did for 7 UP? He pronounce it "Sem up". He'd hold up the bottle and offer some to the crew and from every direction came their containers: A shoe, a sponge, a bucket. Funny funny man.

  • YES!!! SEM UP!!! YES I REMEMBER!!....grew up on Long Island and watched him religiously on channel 5 WNEW ...That Carolina accent refused to go away on the 7 Up plugs....YES YES SEMUP!

  • I love the force and velocity the pie reaches as it smashes into Soupy's face, and he doesn't even blink an eye. Classic!

  • Anyone else think that white fang was the original cookie monster?

    RIP Soupy.

  • Goodbye, Soupy, we will miss you.

  • Wish there was the Soupy Sales show on Youtube where he answered the door and a naked lady was standing off to the side. Soupy totally lost it!

  • its here, look for moonshinerman

  • It was on here but not anymore, that was the first time I saw the whole thing as an adult

  • Go to lunch with soupy sales 1959...it's all there

  • I think that Mel may have picked up Soupy's comic mannerisms. I'm not sure where he would have seen in Australia, but a lot of Mel's comic delivery is very reminiscent of Soupy.

  • Yeah, he does resemble Mel, at least when he smiles! Similar mouth.

  • soupy looks like MEL GIBSON..

  • Don't tell Mel that.

  • I guess no Fizz-Nik commercials? Did anyone have a Fizz-Nik?

  • Soupy is in his eighties ! Agh !

  • There ought to be a law against aging! *sighs* I could be a kid forever with him on tv!

  • my god, i miss daniel boone ( fess parker))

eu sinto saudades do daniel boone

  • Soupy was great! Does anyone have the show where he asked the kids to get money from thier dad's pockets and the mothers purse and send it to him. As I remember he got into some trouble for doing that because the kid really did do it and sent him money that he had to send back.

  • My mother told me about that.

Something about he used to say "Now kids, go into your dad's pockets and your mom's wallets and get out the green paper stuff, and send it to -address- Uncle Soupy!"

    Or something.

I roared with laughter when I heard that.

  • Soupy...GOD I loved this guy growing up!

  • yes . soupy is my all time favorite. i loved him too growing up. they dont make em like this anymore .GOD BLESS SOUPY. thanks for all the laughs.
