  • @PSB2266 yep, back page of top gear sent me here. That marshal is one lucky SOB...

  • it looks like flying cars from gta sa beacuase that has happend to me in the game gta

  • it looks like flying cars from gta sa

  • @eazye943 gosh.. this is the real world. not forza 3 . In real world even if you had a slightest bump, you dont just drive away. Stupid kid!

  • @RaymondXI

errr. thats what the poster is saying, why are you calling them stupid?.

  • do you know what i mostly like in this video? the red's vechicle's driver doesn't steer right to continue the race but stops his vechicle and then we went to see if everything was ok with the other driver

  • @eazye943 he did that for 2 reasons, 1, his car was damaged, and 2, that was one of his best friends driving the green and yellow car

  • @eazye943 you clearly dont know the code of honor in the racing world. Not only that but you cant even name the drivers. You fail on a whole new level.

  • @tenoR4sax you know something else? YOU SUCK BITCH i am not watching F1 that's why i don't know these drivers names ;)

  • @eazye943 lol it's not F1

  • @eazye943 Holy shit, it clearly says Indycar series in the description now you're dumb on a whole new level as well. I would recommend not saying anything else if you want to keep yourself from looking even more retarded.

  • @tenoR4sax can you just shut the fuck up?

  • Comment removed

  • @eazye943 and now youve run out of things to say on the subject which only proves my first point. You fail on a whole new level BITCH!

  • @tenoR4sax unfortunately i don't have time to trouble with m*********s like you fuck off now and don't answer back

  • @eazye943 Clearly you do have time if you continue to answer back about things that have nothing to do with the original subject. Now lets hear your response tough guy! :]

  • aiiiiiiirrrrrrr borneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Good sportsmanship by Helio

  • What is shocking here is not really the crash per se, but the fact that the track marshall nearly got hit! Goodness me...

  • Not a sport

  • @blhebk81 explain oh maestro of language

  • @blhebk81 your right....racing isnt a sport, itsso much more than that

  • One of the best accident for the whole grand pre week

  • @sofokerit "pre"? really?

  • Nice that he went to check on him...

  • @ vromgrl (how ever it's spelt) yip. Super close !!

  • Why are the grandstands empty? Was this a practice day / qualifying / just nobody cares for this sport ?

  • @wrinkledlemon raceday warmup

  • How about the near-miss of the corner worker at 00:20??? YOW! Incredibly close call.

  • i was there!

  • Kannan is the earnhardt of indy car.

  • Looks like me playing video games

  • That was lame. *yawn*

  • just minding your own business tum ti tum, then a flying indy car!!You would actually shit yourself. just amazed me how casually he removed his steering wheel at the end, you would so be like GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE CAR I NEED CLEAN UNDERWEAR!!

  • Indycars were a lot closer performance wise to F1 at the time around the CART/IRL split. In Road and Track magazine there was a good quote from Montoya (when he was in Indycar just before he went to F1) saying that horsepower levels of his CART championship Target Chip Ganasi chassis were hovering at around 1000+ SAE bhp.

The cars are the stale one chassis spec Dallara for the past few years, however a new chassis comes in 2012. Indycar needs to watch an F1 broadcast to see how its done right.

  • this is the worst track I ever seen. what's with those dumbass chicanes in the middle of the straight

  • @brown9708 I thumbs up that.

  • if Helio wasnt there Kanaan would probably be dead...shut your faces you ignorant fools.

  • This guy wus not meant 2 die like seriously

  • thats a sign of true sportsmanship. * applause*

  • Dude Probably got out and ran over there to kick some ass

  • @TEAMxLEFTY

    That's a pretty lame comment........seriously?????

  • Watch mississippi slur its hilarious look under related videos to see more ofthe van man videos like mississippi sweet thang and many more to come

  • fuck... i saw him the guy.. so close... 0:56!!!

  • lucky... if i was him... i stop my career ... so FEAR!!! my shit will go ouT!!

  • oh my God!!!!

  • restored a bit of beliefe in mankind when he ran over to check the other guy

  • What's with the endless description (and speculation) of events we can easily see for ourselves...is it for the benefit of the blind? Cause I'm pretty sure they have better things to do than listen to these bozos.

  • Thumbs Up for Omni-turners!

  • This Dude is really lucky. His momentum was chopped down twice. First when he used the orange car as a ramp. Second, when he clipped the wall. or else it wouldve been a fireball.

  • look at this troll getting owned /watch?v=XVVyKqEpINc&

  • If you really want to see a car go airbourne in a race you need to watch Mark Webber's crash last season.

  • That's madness!!!

  • @dominicdiep2011 For the last time, this is Sparta!! XD

But yeah, that was insane. :P

  • Did no one notice the guy at 00:59 ???? THAT motherfucker is lucky hes not dead.

  • @AaronZuffa Yeah, TK had a talk with him after the wreck.

  • @AaronZuffa Yes! i did, the corner worker was so lucky, WOW!

  • lol Americans trying to make it seems 10x worse that it is

  • It was amazing listening to Tony talk about this. Quick thinking to use another car to slow you down a little.

  • 0:42 the marshals luckily reacted quick enough..

  • Props to the driver for getting out to see if the other other driver was ok.

  • I think Mark Webber can fly better than this.

  • my channels better

  • guys you havent noticed the most wonderful act i've ever saw in a race......by the time he gone out of the car he went to the other guy to check if he is ok

  • @johny1908pao yeah, he's maybe doing a senna. Or he might of headbutted the other geezer, we just dont know.

  • nothing compared to kubica in Montreal !!!!

  • You F1 commenter's Have massive insecurity issues.

  • 0:17 - Crash

    0:31 - Replay

    0:44 - Guys in White

  • McNulty DUI?

  • fuck me those commentators are annoying. especially the 1 that keep repeating exactly what the other 1 says

  • GUYS! YOUTUBE IS BEING SHUT DOWN IN MARCH 2012! THUMB UP IF YOU ARE AGAINST THE SITUATION!

  • @bluewhiteh00ps Just fuck off You fucking Cuntwedge, No-one wants her your Fucking horseshit

  • @Chafingunderwear4ps3 "You fucking cuntwedge" That's fucking brilliant.

  • @bluewhiteh00ps sorry, let me just look out my window..... oh i swear i just saw a pig fly! -_-

  • @bluewhiteh00ps asswipe

  • Jeeeez!

  • this aint a crash... jeez formula 1 must be boring ... and that commentator sounds like seamuspkc

  • "Driving indy cars cause F1 is so mainstream" looooooool

  • It's like watching amateur F1 with WWE commentators. "Woah, did you see how one go kart flew over that other go kart? LITERALLY, BRO."

  • Wow... I didn't realize the Brits and Euros were so insecure about their car racing. Xenophobia anybody? Too funny!

  • @Chris1arch I wouldn't call it xenophobia when Americans speak English...you know, the language from England, look like English people (minus the stereotype that English people all drink tea and speak like the queen, and that Americans are fat as hell) Americans embrace (to some degree) football and in general we're both just extremely similar countries. It's just like nerds having the Mac vs PC argument. Pointless. - From an English American.

  • @InfamousM3dia Not Xenophobia? Chortle.... I've traveled England extensively; also Scotland & Ireland (N.I. of course). I have relatives who live there. If there's one commonality that bonds many Brits, its xenophobia of Americans. Just for once I'd like to see a discussion bd. on ESPN or BBC website that isn't strewn w/hateful, ignorant comments about the USA and Americans (e.g. Jeremy Clarkson, et. al.).

  • @InfamousM3dia You may want it to not be that way and may not think that way yourself, but the evidence says otherwise. Personally, I like BOTH Indy Car AND F-1 and in fact saw extensive F-1 BEFORE any Indy Car. A true race fan doesn't need to pick.

  • @Chris1arch I'll agree with you that many English people (I personally hate being called a 'brit', I don't know any Americans that like being called 'yanks' either) dislike Americans (I definitely wouldn't say fear) but they're usually the same people that dislike black people and complain about their local Indian and Arab neighbors. If you've met that many people that dislike you for being American, it's either you they dislike or you're just not hanging around the right places.

  • @InfamousM3dia No. Not a matter of them liking "me" per se. I've seen it anonymously (as I said previously, on BBC & ESPN chats for example) as well as in person. They often remind me of the classic Southern American attitude in the 60's toward African Americans - often fearful and ignorant (see xenophobia). If your experience is different, perhaps it is because your "Britishness" colors how you perceive it or that because you could appear to be British you are somehow a bit less exposed.

  • @Chris1arch You make a few good points. I don't just appear to be English, I was born and raised there, and did everything I could to get to the USA - being a citizen of both great countries is amazing to me. I've experienced the same thing over here in the states, but hey, rednecks aren't the majority. Perhaps you're focusing on the anonymous negative personalities that dwell within every culture (look on the comments of any video on this site) their are xenophobes everywhere.

  • @InfamousM3dia worth considering!

  • Respond to this video... worth considering...!

  • @InfamousM3dia You said: "I'll agree with you that many English people...dislike Americans". I think you've proven my point. Thank you. My favorite was when I scanned the BBC boards during the past Summer Olympics and Michael Phelps was almost universally being "hated on". He was summarily trashed or accused of doping, cheating or whatever they could think of to discredit him. How provincial! Just what ARE they so fearful (or jealous) of anyway?

  • i thought toyota recalled are there sticky throttles?

  • "You're right, something broke."

    Ya think?!

  • Good trailer for F1 2012

  • Wtf is this american shit?

    Just watch F1 fags

  • Hello, Helio, yo, whoa, here we go

  • 0:57 - "shitttttttttttt!!! oh god.. no.. now i need a new pair of pants"

  • The chicane does look weird but they placed it there to slow the cars down as they crossed 2 sets of RR Tracks just after it. The chicane or tracks had nothing to do with the crash. The #82 lost all brakes in this incident. Hitting the rear of the #3 car may have saved his life.. You guys that really care about 230 mph, well anyone can mash a pedal and take a car to it's limits, it's when you start using the steering wheel brings out the real drivers.. Who cares about top speed?

  • Mark Webbers crash beats this

  • F1 shits on this

  • reminds me of Villeneuve's crash at melbourne 2001

  • Comment removed

  • he did well to steer to the left between the tires after his car went flying.

  • Anyone else think that the first 'chicane' was the start of the crash? It looks so damn pointless!

  • what a class act, the guys first reaction is to get out and help the other driver instead of throw a hissy-fit because he got taken out of the race.

  • The biggest threat to american drivers...A Right turn!!

  • @Tingawinga5 They turn right and aren't afraid to but recently some F1 drivers have said they won't do Indy. Biggest threat to F1 drivers, afraid to step in an Indy car and do 230 mph.

  • Comment removed

  • @dez1013 And you're saying F1 cars can't reach 230mph? Lawl.

  • @ScaryCornflakes Yup. and it's not all about speed, it's mainly about how the car handle's corners.

  • @llREBll I know that they're faster round a track (a proper one, not a stupid oval) than an Indy car, but many F1 cars (maybe not now because of the FIA restrictions) can reach 230mph.

  • @ScaryCornflakes Yea i agree, overall though, F1 racing is WAY higher level than indie.

  • Fucking Yank commentary, "He was coming in so HOT!"... LOL!

  • @Tingawinga5 Best joke ever.

  • @Tingawinga5 Only applies to NASCAR fans, which most Americans are not...

  • @Skormm Again with the "Hurp, Nascar never makes right turns." Just proves how people don't know anything about a sport before they begin to bash it.

  • @Tingawinga5 the guy driving is Brazilian

  • @Tingawinga5 well shit, Brazilians can't turn right either then apparently

  • are they f1 wannabes or something?

  • how to turn right pls?

  • damn...radcliffe does look like potter....you don't think??? ....nah never mind.

  • cool to see the one driver get out and run and either check on the other dude (which is what I like to think he was doing) or hauling ass to drop kick the dude in the helmet for running over him at 180mph....lmao!

  • @jchesshiree lol for some reason i think its the second reason :)

  • anyone else realised that harry potter looks remarkably like daniel radcliffe?

  • OMG HE SOUNDS LIKE KOOTRA

  • people that think this is bad should see mark webber's crash at valencia

  • @F1Racers

There have been far worse crashes than Webber's (scott kalitta's fatal crash for one). Even if Webber's crash appears to be worse or more spectacular (or bad), it doesn't mean that other crashes can't be spectacular (or bad). Irrational thinking is a bitch isn't it?

  • Gay man's F1

  • Back to the future F1 cars.

  • I love how people call this "poor mans F1" when

    1. There are more cars in it

    2. It's a more fan friendly sport.

I'd choose IndyCar & NASCAR over F1 anyday

  • @TGTAP Ignore the Eurotrash.

  • @dez1013 I try my best to lol, but it's hard being English myself =/

  • Poor mans F1.

  • @thelasthalo yes poor mans F1 thats why u see hobos racing D:

  • Indy cars didn't try to copy formula one cars at all..-.-

  • Comment removed

  • holy shit!!

  • This has nothing on mark webbers flip last year. poosay's.

  • i like f2 cars better ....

  • "When you see this, fans, you will not believe that Tony Kanaan walked away from this without a scratch on him' - These guys need to see Mark Webbers crash in Valencia 2010...

  • Is this Americas budget version of Formula 1??

  • 0:32 this guy sounds like Sienfeld

  • Watch the track worker almost get killed at :58. If not for Tony's left rear gripping and hooking the car right when his car landed, that guy would be finished. Why didn't commentators say anything?

  • Haven't seen Indy Car for years, cars still look clumsy though. Could have been a nasty crash.

  • What actually happened? Lost it on the brakes?

  • These cars look like retarded F1 cars

  • @kezzaman These cars are probably the same as in Formula One races.

  • @normalpsychology Not even close, F1 cars are way quicker than IndyCars.

  • @wamphyr000 Are you sure? Can you prove it?

  • @normalpsychology F1 cars weigh less (1300 lbs vs 1725 lbs), have more bhp (800 vs 750), have a better power to weight ratio, and better brakes.

  • @normalpsychology Are you serious? Watch footage of F1 cars, then watch footage of IndyCar, it would be obvious to someone that is blind that F1 cars are faster.

  • @wamphyr000 depends on your definition of fast. Over a lap an F1 car is faster. Top speed an IndyCar is faster.

  • @NairdaKart Lap times are all that matters.

  • @wamphyr000 I agree totally but there a lot of people, mainly in the US, who only care about top speed.

  • @NairdaKart That's probably because any idiot can hit a high top speed, but it takes skill to get together a great lap.
