There are far too few versions of probably the only song Hendrix ever did in a meter other than the typical 4/4 as this has to be probably 3/4 time signature.
The drum solo in the middle section by Mitch is interesting, because the studio version doesn't have that--utterly amazing how these musicians were able to constantly reinterpret the music and the groove has got to be one of the most unique ever created in R'n'R!!!
