I tried this phone today. Let me tell you that these videos are total bull. The screen is about as responsive as that on the LG Viewty. Its quite substandard comapared to the iPhone.

No but I am waiting for the HTC Touch HD coming out in November. It is amazing phone and has almost the same touch sensitivty as the iPhone.

Honestly I see the Diamond as actual competitor against the iPhone. It's stupid to say who copied what, cause all companies copy each other. However they had to release the 2nd iPhone just to compensate the mistakes of the first one. No gps, edge, no video... so all phones have their pos and negs. It's just fanboys are so greedy to protect their investments.

I think everyone will admit the iphone UI kicks some major booty. If MS is even going to stay competitive they need to utilize more of the eye candy gfx and animation. I doubt that MS even made the weather app or the other apps we are seeing first hand. HTC probably stepped up to the plate finally!

I will admit it, this weather display beats the iPhone's hand down. This is some kick ass eye candy and I am loving it. The wiper on drops effect is just too slick.

But the fact remains that what they so blatantly did was to hold an iPhone in one hand, and systematically attempted to copy pixel for pixel as many iPhone's breakthrough UI as possible without breaking the law. Period. Still, I'll say it again, very very good try, except for the Microshit OS behind it.
