  • Great clip!

  • Hey, isn't that the guitarist from Connie Smith's band the Sundowners? He's good!

  • @Fmaj7b5 Oh yes, answered my own question by looking at the previous comment page. Thanks for posting Gator. Love it!

  • That was a joy to watch. Great sounding Gretsch geetah there as well. Thanks as always!

  • Could you please upload the Johnny cash clip

  • @hene984 I would if I had it.

  • Oops! The wrong Johnny was intro'd at 0:16. Dude, it's Paycheck!

  • @JasonNation72 Johnny Cash (and Connie Smith) WERE indeed on the same show. You just don't see them on this video clip.

  • @Gatorrock787 I guess I stand corrected. I suppose Paycheck wasn't introduced because he wasn't a solo artist yet. Anyway, fantastic video, thanks for posting.

  • @Gatorrock787 Oh well, I stand corrected. I suppose Paycheck wasn't introduced because he wasn't a solo artist yet. Either way, it was an excellent video, thanks for posting.

  • That was really great! Thank you for sharing that. I love that bass Paycheck is playing.

  • Look how happy Donny Young (aka Johnny Paycheck) looks !!

Oh to turn back time and choose a better path.

    God Bless Johnny Paycheck!

  • wat about donnie young he looks like hes 16

  • Who's the Lead Guitarist ????

  • @braddavis2 Jack Watkins

  • The Mathis Brothers also used to produce the old Buck Owens Ranch Shows back in the mid 1960's. One of them, Bud Mathis, served as the MC, aKa, The Ranch Foreman, on the show.

I think the Mathis Brothers owned an appliance store in OK.

Sure wish TV stations did local programming today. These old shows are priceless.

  • Thats why I was able to watch them on TV in Buffalo......aliens

  • You forgot to add one little thing: The Mathis Brothers were popular only in central Oklahoma. No one else in the entire world knew who the hell they were.

So the rest of us were deprived of their superiority and sophistication as we sat in front of our TVs, miserably watching Twilight Zone and missing out on a great deal on a new washer-dryer combo. I think I'll hang my head & puke.

  • @moproducer You must have been in another dimension. One not of sight or sound... but of mind.

  • @Gatorrock787 Right...anywhere but central Oklahoma.

  • good song.

  • Thanks for sharing. I've heard George Strait sing this but I've never heard anyone else.

  • Haha, Johnny sure does look funny in here.

  • This is an absolute gem. Thanks for posting. Really takes me back to those classic days in OKC.
