  • How about you stop talking and focus on the damn road, especially because you're a biginner

  • pussy

  • so boring.

just make the video 20 seconds....

  • You caught people's license plates lol.

  • Scary....You're lucky man, stay safe.

  • How many miles per gallon do you average?

  • @SAVAGE308SNIPER Half year response.. but 08s-09s 250's get like 60ish I believe.

  • @panterask8r14 lol i know 6 months later lol. but i already bought me a ninja 250. mpg is excellent

  • ninja 250???

  • your blinker is on

  • Stop making vids about riding! your in no positon to teach anyone anything about a 2 wheeler! You barely know how to ride yourself.

  • @chrislegend06 look at the date moron, this video was 2 years ago..

  • dude stop doing these videos on your bike as your learning and leaving your indicator on and someone wiping you out!!! crist

  • I hear ya there on the University parking lol. It is so hard to find a good spot at my college and there is a special spot in the entrance of the lot just for motorcycles.

I just got red 2009 Ninja 250r. I am going to ride it home from the dealership in couple days. I cant wait!! haha

  • ride safe

  • ride safe

  • ride safe !

  • low side sucks mate i know i locked up the front break on my rm250 2stroke im was riding like a nutter and was running out of room for breaking so i ended up locking the front wheel and the bike slide away from me throwing me to the ground with a shitload of force i broke somthing coz there is this lump on the top side of my leg i never went to hospitial because i was going to meet the girlfriend i wish i did i went to work the next day and it hurt for a few months but feels fine now lol

  • you should of stopped and told off those jerks

  • 10,000th viewer!

  • DUDE! Rev your bike out FFS! You drive like a granny! **IT"S A MOTOR BIKE AND THEY REV TO 12,000 REVS!**

You're doing more harm revving it like a little bitch! Get up it! It's a V-Twin 250! Pussy...

  • @oneateee um, the break in period is 500 miles and you're not supposed to go over like 4000 RPM...which is ridiculously low but still , he has reason not to gun it at every light...

  • @oneateee he's been riding for like 2 weeks dick

  • He sounds like hes scared

  • Thanks for the video lesson. Your message has been well received.

  • Glad to see your doing MSF man... My Father was an MSF Instructor For Dirtbikes and Street bikes. So, its good to see that your practicing Saftey.

  • you did the right thing releasing the front brake, however you should have also released the rear and reapplied it as with the front. The only reason a motorcycle stays upright is due to the gyroscopic effect of the spinning wheels, once they stop turning all stability is lost and you are going down.

  • If your new to biking its not really a fantastic idea to to strap a camera to your head jump on your bike and go for a ride and tell us a story about how inexperienced you are and how you nearly crashed... for nealry half the video you were indicating and going straight over at every junction, thats a good way to annoy people. Your saying the fire truck didnt have his lights on so you didnt know he was stopping, you had your indicators on, how do people know your not turning ?

  • my first crash scared the hell outa me a speeder hit the side of my bike without looking then i droped te bike

  • either dudes cold or really terrified

  • what a short story made long. but glad you didn't get hut.

  • May I give a few recommandation from my 15 years of bike riding ?

On a bike, always drive on the LEFT of your lane (basically, at the place you will be sitting if you were sitting in the driver seat of a car): Advantage : Nobody can try to overtake you if you drive on a single-lane road (you are occupying the same width than a car), and the driver in the front can see you using its side mirror.

Look far ahead, keep some security distance with the guy in front and *anticipate*.

  • Thank God you got out of that one. Very good learning from what you done right and wrong. I'm kind of a new rider myself and just turned over 2,000 miles on my ninja 250 yesterday. I rode about 75 miles yesterday because it was the 1st nice day of the year. I had my closest call yet. I was going about 45 and started into a curve and met some other bikes and as I waved at them a big shaggy dog ran straight out in front of me. I locked the rear wheel up (continued next comment)

  • and applied a lot of front brake without locking it up and I was in a controlled skid guess you could say. I didn't get nervous and just naturally done the right thing and the dog was inches from my front wheel. After it was over I was thinking about how lucky I was and what mistakes I had made. I had seen the dog earlier and it was just running along the side of the road and I slowed assuming it would run out but it didn't. On the way back when it did run out I don't even know where (cont)

  • it even came from because it was a congested area and I was looking at the bikers and that was what I figured was my mistake. I took my eyes off my lane of travel for just a second and therefore didn't see the dog but luckily saw it in time. There was a car behind me as well which luckily was paying attention because they kept a good distance. Let me just say that the ninja 250r is a very forgiving bike and I had a bunch of dogs runs out in front of me once before but not this close a call(cont)

  • because I saw those dogs coming running full force right for my path. The 250 is just so light that seems to me it's very easy to control even when locking the rear wheel but being my 1st bike I don't know. Like you it was as if I went into ninja mode and I usually get really nervous over the smallest things but I kept my cool and on the way home I kept thinking about it and how I would just chalk it up as a lesson. Great job man and informative video that should help others learn.

  • Yeah, thats pretty much exactly what happened to me. In the end, everyone needs to do what you and I have done, evaluate what we did wrong. No one should take a close call for granted.

  • @steelhorseclub my first crash scared the hell outa me a speeder hit the side of my bike without looking then i droped te bike

  • @matt78tv You're very smart to learn on a ninja 250. I've put over 10,000 miles on mine, done some stupid things, but like you said the bike is very forgiving. If only more people would learn on bikes like the 250...

  • Your a good motorbike driver :D

  • your 250r made you a ninja. hahah ^^

  • good points ,thank you

  • *low side not slide mate, sure you probs know that just the cold gettin to ya ;) the new 250r sounds like a rattle trap compared to the ex250r =[

  • The reason for the good feeling after is all the adrenaline buzzing in your body giving you a good feeling, your heat rate will have increased though you wouldn't have noticed due to the good feeling you were having. It usual to reflect and feel worse after the event. Sounds like a great save none the less, well done and remember to drive for yourself and for everyone else! Take care

  • why is his voice quivering? is it cold or is he shaky cuz he's tellin the story?

  • If I can remember, I think it was cold.

  • i know those v-twin bikes vibrate a bit. kinda like talking while on those vibrating chairs at the mall.

  • @steelhorseclub btw ur right low side wheels face the way ur going. high sides are nasty and thats when the whweels face the way ur riding away from and usually the bike flips to get to taht orientation

  • @triked14 hes remembering the chilling incident and is scared

  • @triked14 i think its the adrenaline from the close call lol :) at least it was a close call and not a crash!

  • @triked14

    It's called crystal methamphetamine.

He has a serious problem and I am deeply concerned for his mental and physical health.

  • you can rev over 2k before changing....you do know that dont you....?

  • i agree with..master101

  • You change gears to quick man.. Wait a few more seconds.

  • hey man, glade your alright, you sounded pretty shook up. you can control the bike but not the ppl around you, might of been wrong being confident (we all are at times) but you were right correcting the situation, you learn from your mistakes and gain experience from good & bad encounters . the ppl i ride with gave me some advice when i got my bike this past may "ride like the car next to you is gonna be the 1 to put you over the bars"

  • oh yea i almost rearended a road service truck. probly do to not payng attention to road signs. that truck was park BLATE middle of the 60mph road.

in my mind i knew if i lock the front, im going down. it morely came as instinct.

i started fish taling because the back was locked. i came 3-4 feet close to the back of that truck. now my other consern came after i stopped. i HAVE to keep from being rear ended my self. there was no cones to turn the cars pasing around me. but i got out of there.

  • DUDEEE you sound so shooken up!! Be careful on that bike bro i just lost a friend to a motorcycle accident. REMEMBERR!!!... you have to pay attention not only for yourself but the other drivers because they show no concern for bike riders.

  • he might be cold....

  • you sound a bit shaken up. im just glad that you are ok and the way you reacted! im proud of that! :) glad to still see your vids. keep it up and good luck. ride safely.

  • Are you crying? (not being a dick - just wondering)

  • what a beast!!!

  • first of all y will a firetruck even stop thou

  • lol ninja mode on a ninja 250

  • i so no what u mean by ninja mode

  • everyything you said is so true

  • you should be proud that you reacted that you did. its good to see that what you have learnt you have applied. and thats the great thing about it. you've become a better rider now. you analysed the situation. and you've learnt from your mistake. good job mate. keep up the good work.

  • good job man, I had the same close call when some old hag shot out in front of me. I did the same thing you did. Sad part is i just totalled my gsxr last week when I t-boned a car that cut me off. never let your guard down man, and future reference, probably not too smart to make a video and ride at the same time, especially if your a newb

  • rksb2580 i agree with your point about filming while being a newbie on a new bike too. there is too much to think about and concentrate on without having to think about what your talking about.

just a thought though, all these guys that stick cameras in their safety helmets, i think its suicide. just imagine hitting your head to a complete stop in an accident. the energy and g-force making that camera carry on moving would most certinally kill you if struck in the face. :(

  • good job of avoiding it... i hope that when i am confronted with this kind of situation tht my msf traing kicks in...(i hope that i am not confronted with this type of situation though)... has anyody tried to race you yet?

  • Great the way your MSF training kicked in. I have had some close calls myself. Was like you, didn't really think about it till I got home. I have tried to put all sorts of safety mods on my bike to be seen better.

    Check out posted video

BTW, want to see a cool scooter? Check out my page.

( Well, to me it's cool anyway. Remember I'm almost 50!)

  • TURN OFF YOUR BLINKER

    !

  • that explains it all LOL

  • You just coined a new term"ninja mode".Glad your training paid off and avoided an accident.

  • ninja mode :) ; great job on the recovery. Many new riders would have been goners. Your natural instincts due to your practicing and proper training is what saved your ass on this one. You made an excellent point by saying that you were getting cocky; this is what happens to many riders when they reach their 3000 miles of riding. They feel confident and think that they know everything causing them to drop their guard.

  • nice videos but you need to learn to switch your turn signal off...

  • Nice dude. You have a really good attitude towards riding. You will learn very fast with that kind of attitude and I am looking forward to seeing your skills improve in a few more months too! Good on you man

  • The vid I just attached shows a mistake I've made that will hopefully never happen again. And hopefully will help you!

Skip to 6:50 to see it though...

  • Yeah, it has. I thnk about it everytime I come to a stop. And I try to remember to take turns outside in. lol

  • Yeah dude locking the front breaks up can be fatal lol..

locking up the rear is not that bad if your straight, but being sideways, no good lol.

  • lol ninja mode

  • well done young grasshopper. well done.

    PS

Next time, just leave your brakes locked and let your bike slide and do a backwards flip down to a kung fu ready stance. Then you'd be a ninja. yes yes.

  • Good job on avoiding an accident Dr. Jones although, motorcycle lore says, once you dump gravity's not interested in you anymore until you buy a new bike. :)

    Weird ninja mode? lol

  • You should write a book. You seem to be full of this type of info.lol

  • I was riding to school and a car in front of me decided to slow down, but she slowed down way too fast and to a very slow speed, so I breaked, both brakes, and locked up my back break and skidded for like 20 yards. When I released my back break the back of the bike snapped in to like a straight position. Luckily, I weigh like 220lb and I wasn't thrown off the bike. I can imagine if it was someone lighter, they would have went flying.

  • Yeah I think thats why they recomend keeping it locked. So that when it regains traction it won't throw the rider off. Great story and a pretty common one I think.

  • Good job

when I lock up the wheels I don't know which ones are locked sometimes** so I just keep them both locked.

    sometimes.

I've had a crazy close call one time I'll talk about it in some video later prolly ;D

  • So when your on the bike always assume the worst?

  • Yeah, but its not that bad. It just means be ready for anything and it eventually becomes second nature.

  • umm sorry for this reply but: no shit?!!! that's what you'r suposed to do, but unfortunately most people don't care about this rule, mostly in the car.

  • Well since I have been on my bike I have seen only one person who is actually wearing proper safety gear. You would be surprised how many bikers just don't put any thought into riding.
