hey guys, if your a musician and care about finding the perfect guitar and want some tips on turning any guitar into a great guitar then please check out my new blog(link below)
i have paid 29 USD for regestered in nexlevelguitar but not thing.Email to a question no one is responsible.Be careful of your money!!! I give you the opportunity, but until today it is still quiet. Not much money but feel bad!!!!!
lol these are not Blues licks. This is more like some Metal dude trying to play the blues -.- No disrespect for the player, but Blues licks have a different feeling. Or should have...
Pretty Cool lesson here, Covers the topic quite well. Ive just made a bunch of detailed courses for beginners and advanced guitarists that you might be interested in. Check it out! would love to know what you and anyone watching this video thinks. Its totally free, and i mean TOTALLY
Too many short sighted people with negative comments that couldn't understand the why....they just want the monkey see monkey do concept. Sad. Great promo build up to understand the lesson. Music is the feel plus the understanding. Nice lesson.
The title is beginner blues lick I believe, not goofy-ass retard sits and talks about stupid bullshit for the first 6:00 minutes of the video. If you guys want to make it in life, go ahead and skip to 10:59.
Next level guitarest whats up.Im Andrew and if one would answer my question i would greatly appreciate it..How can i get the maxium sestain out of a guitar/amp?
I kind of like the pearl overlay, I love some Texas Specials...I just bought a Hwy 1 with Alnico 3s, not bad, but really want the TS. I have an 87 Am. Std. think I'll put some in that ax as I love everything else about it. This guy is a good instructor.
hey i personally really enjoy the detailed lesson feel to it, anyone can just learn licks but the emphasis on chord changes is what makes good jam sessions, thanks alot!
I'm asking because I saw another video of yours saying that this guitar with white headstock is loaded with TS. Wit is strange to me cause I got a strat with ash body loaded with TS and it sounds much thinner that your guitar. And now I don't know with thing I will buy to solve the problem ( another guitar with alder body and rosewood fingerboard) or another set of pickups. I was thinkibg CS 69 pickups
@rockongoodpeople hey david i know this is a weird question, ive been playing for alittle over 3 years and somehow everytime i pick up the guitar i play for a few hours it just feels like i play the same thing but all the outsources i got from my parents, friends, etc. say different, but basically did you go through this sometimes?
is this a rock lesson or blues.....yeeeaaaa where's Marty cuz he can do the damn thing how its suppose to go...ur a great guitar player tho.....blues not so much
how heavy? if you want like heavy metal stuff then I suggest getting anything with humbucker pickups. strats have single coil and you wont get a real heavy tone with it but it still could work. just listen to jimi hendrix.
It's not just the sound of the strings with different gauges on itself that's the most important. I think the way heavier strings force you to play makes the biggest difference in how you're going to sound.
Thicker strings require more force and especially without a lot of effects this has a big influence on your sound.
It will be quite difficult to play a good jump blues for instance with .09's on your guitar.
I like how clear and easy you show this lick! Barring the high e string and the b string at the same time with the pointing finger and showing the picking motion up on the b string and down on the bottom E string for the pull off, very nice... its all there. Your reminder not to be lazy and use the pinky finger to build it up. Thanks HUGE for tips MR Arsnel Of Destruction Kind Sir!
In regard to the ringing b string, roll your index finger. DON'T REMOVE IT, Just make it so your index is only slightly touching the string as you progress, you can also let it ring if you guitar is clean enough and want a thicker sound.
when i'm playing the b-string and after this the e-string, the first one is still ringing(i mean b-string), i don't know how are you Dave damping this b-string when you next play for example d note on e-string

@lauwalk all metal solos are based off of the blues methods. So in reality although it may sound like metal to you, It's just speedy blues licks.

Yor lessons are good but I wouldnt reccommend teaching people to bend notes with pinky...
bencantona 2 years ago
Might not be the best technique but it would certainly build much needed strength in that area.
NeoHoshi 2 years ago 2
Plus the other fingers are behind the pinky pushing the string upwards. The pinky will mostly be just keeping the note in place.
