  • May I use this for a school project also?

  • @curtissboggs Yes. Everything posted on this channel is in Low Resolution and is Public Domain, so anyone can use it for educational purposes.

  • can i use this footage for a school project

  • @hahamordy Yes, and thank you for asking.

  • @CenterStudyVolcanoes Can i use any of your other footage to?

  • @hahamordy Only if you learn to capitalize the pronoun "I" and learn the difference between "too" and "to."

  • @CenterStudyVolcanoes Haha, love that comment but seriously good point.

  • mmm looks like soup :)

  • That's rock isn't it? Wow. It's crumpled like paper.

  • nature is cool

  • Pāhoehoe? Looks like it..

  • The first thing I would do if I saw that is....leave.

  • omg that cant b real!

  • dosnt that lava thatclose make u feel hot? but its awsome

  • @rayman2470 This footage was shot with a telephoto lens, so we are not close to it. If you were adjacent to the lava, it would be unbearably hot. We were there on a cloudy day (perfect light for photography, not washed out) and it was windy and rainy, so rather than being too hot, we were actually very cold.

  • amazing

  • anyone wanna go barbecue

  • 0:50 looks so epic

  • nice match stick. oh wait.... its your like bar (y)

  • the black parts looks like its paper bein crushed by the red part of the lava.

  • wow!

  • lets go swimming :D

  • @LuckyJetilianna No swimming allowed! It looks as fluid as water, but it is molten rock and 2000 degrees F. Enjoy watching from a distance, and stay safe!

  • This looks awesome!

  • nature rocks!!!!!!!

  • woah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wonder how much of that is under the volcano

  • that's what real lava looks like? I've been playing too much minecraft :/

  • wow thats amazing

  • Y does it turn black?

  • @thebellatwins2011 Molten basalt is red because it’s very hot (2000 F, 1200 C). As it cools down, it solidifies; it’s black because of abundant iron and magnesium. Similarly, the burner (heating element) on a stovetop is black, but when it gets hot, turns red.

    That’s Y.

  • @CenterStudyVolcanoes is it possiable for it to get so hot that it would turn blue?

  • @CenterStudyVolcanoes what is this exactly is metal or what ?

  • @M187x This is lava. Exactly.

  • @M187x it is melted rock at about 2000 degrees!

  • That is so awesome... If it weren't so dangerous I would love to just play with lava.
