  • I like dave but he's clearly trying to act something that he aint. He's all anti-drug and partying here; aahh... Thats megalomania, i rather stay myself... He sounds cocky and selfish and all-knowing...

  • megadeth is the only exception but all these other bands wearing make-up like those guys at 3:15 "try to look cool" that pretty much tells you what hes all about. what a fake,

  • @Crucial1s actually megadeth is the most 'fake' on this documentary. Other bands wore make-up and they clearly said they wore make-up, its not like they are telling lies about it.

Sincerity and integrity is more important than being fake and trying to look cool.

  • Glam or thrash? FUCK ALL OF YOU GUYS I'M TAKING BOTH

  • 9:13 sound exactly like the intro to kickstart my heart by motley crue. oh and bill gazzari is boss with thos two chicks.

  • All these lame glam metal bands suck, megadeth is where its at

  • Tuff ended up getting signed.Didn't make it big though. They were not bad either.

  • Man my hair could easily fit into the 80s style, all I need is some moose and hair spray and I'm good to go!

  • i wish i could travel back in time and kick riki rachtmans ass. every musical trend that pops up he seems to jump all over it fuckin poser. dave mustaine is awesome though

  • @TheEvbo69 dave mustaine is a retarded, extreme right-wing born-again christian douchebag, even here he tells lies about being against drugs. how can u take that douchebag seriously?

  • Heavy metal my ass. Almost every band is glam/hairmetal. Megadeth is the only good band in this documentary

  • @Alcoholicatrasher Motorhead, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Lizzy Borden, WASP are all heavy metal bands. If you dont like heavy metal, stfu. Megadeth was the only constantly lying band in the interviews (they were saying how they never let drugs influence their stage performance, when in reality all of them were high on drugs)

  • @Alcoholicatrasher Lemmy........

  • @Alcoholicatrasher You got a problem with Lemmy from MotorHead.

  • @Alcoholicatrasher Motorhead aren't good? Aerosmith aren't good?

  • I wish I could have went to the Cat House in the late 80s...all that pussy in one place!

  • Good lord... just shut the fuck up, enjoy the movie and mourn your lost youth you cranky old fucking bastards..... : )

  • that old man is fucked up

  • @BassFever74 Think your more than just a moron.

  • fuck these faggot assed yank cocksuckers= poison, megadicks, etc bunch of fucking pussies

  • Good Try,..the song your Reffering to is 'Can U Deliver" Not (do you deliver) i Know this is saint 2:48--3:05 can anyone Clarify Exacyly what tune,..??

  • Anyone know the name of the song john bush is singing in this segment?? Is it Armored Saint or Anthrax??

  • @bongnbud the song you're looking for is "Do U Deliver?" (Armored Saint, obviously...this was 1987. Joey Belladonna was still in Anthrax at this time.

  • first word that comes to mind when watching this....losers

  • @arwestromen you`re the losser... faggot .l.

  • Riki Rachtman what a faggot; epitome of a man who is a slave to a trend. Take a look at what this man looked like when Grunge and Alternative music became big.

  • @Radz117 WOOOORD

  • @Radz117

God forbid someone changes their style with the times. Do you look the same now as you did 20 years ago? If so, why does that give you more cred?

  • @JonestownJuice123 No. I was 3 20 years ago.

  • The wave of metal seen in this documentary has a lot in common with the generation now, in the respect that there's no MOVEMENT involved. Grunge in the '90s was the last real "movement" rock music has seen. Where kids stood up and said "We're sick of this hair band crap, we're now going THIS direction!" The hippies of the late '60s and the punks of the '70s were a MOVEMENT. There was no movement involved with this scene.

  • @MattHatter favorite youtube comment i've read this week.

  • @MattHatter Grunge "movement" was created by Mtv and music corporations manipulating peoples music tastes and putting out new copycat bands for kids to consume. Grunge was nothing but post-punk music repackaged and commercialised for the American market. Levi's had grunge clothes in their catalogues, much like todays Hot Topics for mallcore shit. Outside of US (where media conglomerates don't have the same manipulative power) grunge almost didn't happen.

  • @GlamTillDeath RESPONSE TO REPLY 1: Yes, grunge was "capitalized" upon like every other musical movement, what's new? The industry sees dollar signs and there ya go! But it was MY generation and I saw how we moved away from the CRAP you see in this film to music I actually WANTED TO go and buy.

  • @MattHatter When this movie created (late 80s) there were already "alternatives" if u dont like the hard rock sound: you could listen to progressive rock(Pink Floyd, Rush),heavy metal(Iron Maiden,Scorpions), punk(Minor Threat) and many other music genres. No music genre was forced upon peoples throats. You listened to grunge at a time when Grunge was 24/7 on Mtv and it was no longer cool to like heavy metal or to have long hair.

  • @GlamTillDeath O.K., what I'm saying is that I was already obsessed with '60s rock when all this hair band stuff was going on in the late '80s. Bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath were REAL and artistic. The stuff in this documentary was like diving into the shallow end of a pool head first. Shallow and phony with no artistic movement behind it, but THEY WOULD say it was real. When grunge hit, it wasn't anywhere as good as '60s rock, but it had more substance for me.

  • @GlamTillDeath HAHA stop fucking stating the obvious! Emo=I hate life, I hate myself, pessimism. Glam=enjoying life, living your life to the full. im sorry, did nikki live is life to the fullest while he was shooting dope naked in his closet and writing depressing poetry? they only play nowadays to cash in money of their old effortless be happy go lucky songs, and now you're gonna say some shit about metallica and slayer selling out ,but nobody gives a shit.cuz there are alot more thrash bands.

  • @GlamTillDeath this subject is purely a matter of opinion, just because you dont like thrash and i do doesnt make you "RIGHT" you idiot, and look at yourself, you the one battleing 6 diffrent persons about how glam rules and every other genre sucks, if you really convinced that your right you wouldnt be doing that. and GLAM was also a "movement" created by the music industry, giving every band who had girl clothes and make up a record deal. stop acting like a fag

  • @TheHavvoc123 'GLAM was also a "movement" created by the music industry'

hmm no, glam rock was created in England in the late 60s by people who hang around at art-clubs.

  • @MattHatter Comparing grunge shit to the hippie movement or (political) punk is also very insulting. Hippies stood up for freedom, they stood against the war and for personal/social freedom. Punk was also very anti-establishment. Its disgusting to see them compared to losers singing " i hate myself, i dont care about anything,i wanna die everyday" shit over corporate pop-punk tunes(aka grunge)

  • @GlamTillDeath RESPONSE TO REPLY 2: No, grunge was nowhere near the incredible inventiveness of the late '60s (NO generation has been able to touch it, not a single one, and never will). There was a whole lot I didn't like about the grunge movement in my generation (like MTV selling "Woodstock '94" t-shirts and Kennedy out there interviewing concert goers in their sleeping bags). I'm not comparing the two, I'm just saying we had the last gasp, however weak it was!

  • @MattHatter Grunge bands didnt even sell-out bcs there was nothing counter-cultural about grunge in the first place. There wasnt even common denominators of a grunge sound.Soundgarden and Pearl Jam sound nothing like each other. Like the then popular postmodernist ideology, contradictions are celebrated as virtues and people were told that they can't change the world. In the early 90s,our world entered a dark period of neoliberalism and grunge was the soundtrack of that time.Thank god 90s r over

  • @GlamTillDeath And you're happy the '90s are over. Yeah, well what do we have NOW? Nothing! And yeah, Pearl Jam didn't sound anything like Soundgarden who didn't sound anything like Nirvana. In the late '60s, Buffalo Springfield didn't sound anything like Cream who didn't sound anything like Jefferson Airplane. Grunge WAS NOT great, but it was SOMETHING to have for a bit. A whole lot of it SUCKED, a whole lot of it DIDN'T. Musically it was fun...but everything comes to an end.

  • @MattHatter 'what do we have NOW'

Mastadon, Symphony X, Unisonic, Royal Hunt, Black Country Communion, Pretty Maids, Graveyard, Slash, Taking Dawn, Avantasia, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Work Of Art and many other great bands who can play circles around any of those grunge bands...Plus in the 90s magazines dissed the likes of Dio, Deep Purple as being 'outdated', 'untrendy' etc. whereas today people look at them with respect

  • @GlamTillDeath O.K., so I wouldn't seem ignorant, I looked up every one of those bands you mentioned. The only one I knew already was Mastodon and they're awesome. My favorite was....can you guess? Graveyard. And the reasons for that one are obvious I'm sure. Black Country Communion did nothing for me, I'll take Jet instead. Taking Dawn sucked ass. Those guys are trying WAY too hard. And while Work Of Art was good musically, visually they weren't.

  • @GlamTillDeath But you listing those bands as being "saviors" of music nowadays is like me listing off bands like Radio Moscow, Buffalo Killers, Tame Impala, Dungen, Ride The Blinds, or The Bees. I'm thankful for all these bands and in my world, they're all on top of the charts, but that's not reality unfortunately.

  • @MattHatter Grunge was just a name the record industry came up with was and is still Rock music.

  • You could't be anymore right. However, without a doubt I would say Grunge is a bit more refreshing then hearing the same wailing gut airs and high pitched vocals in every song throughout the 80's. Glam got really boring, really fast.

  • @GlamTillDeath hahah yes i would be tired of that, except i didnt get owned, you're just plain stupid and i enjoy watching the things you write :) fag

  • @TheHavvoc123 your never got tired of getting owned little girl dont you and if u don't give a shit, don't bother to write a reply stupid teenager.

  • i bet most of the fans interviewed have become everyday joe's living in the suburbs, taking their kids to soccer practice

  • I have never heard so many analogies in such a short amount of time haha.

  • what is the name of the song at 2:50 ?

  • wet cherry

  • Who is the guy at 5:10, 5:50, 7:10 and 8:25? What band was he in?

  • Comment removed

  • ...And metal is great no matter what genre you like weather its thrash glam death black power i mean if you dont like one then dont even bother with it and stick to what you like but dont go starting arguments with other people i mean if you like one genre and not the other that doesnt mean you can go bash the other leave it alone everyone arguing look like little kids and im sure most are grown adults!!

  • Really I think this whole issue with GLAM and THRASH is over you people are fighting over a feud that ended years ago!! hell some of those bands from these genres tour together now and ever tourer together then!!! personally i like both glam and thrash and i can get along with people from either side. and if someone doesnt like glam then so what they're missing out on the fun and same for people that dont like thrash they're missing out on a lot of amazing stuff!!...

  • i fucking hated glam in the 80s i was a mentally ill hardcore kid and glam made me sick but all is forgiven now...now i can have some fun with it

  • glam is dead and thats good

  • @ThrashMetal669 lol glam is dead? I've downloaded over 100 new glam/hard rock albums just last 6 months, just bcs glam bands didint win grammy awards every year like your faggy thrash bands doesnt mean that it doesnt exist. yeah you cant hear glam bands playing at jean stores but there are lots of dedicated musicians/fans.

  • @GlamTillDeath but thats just like... your opinion maaaan

  • @GlamTillDeath so in this day and age, if i dress up in high heels and wear make up and thight leather pants, i will get laid and that will automaticly solve all my problems?

  • @TheHavvoc123 no. glam audience dress casaully. only band members themselves wears extraordinary clothes on stage to put on a show and people are clever enough to seperate between a show and reality.

  • @GlamTillDeath No they dont, have you ever seen a yuppie at a glam show? and people who listen to glam are not clever, "OMG this song is telling me to commit suicide when i play it backwards, im gonna do what it says"

  • @TheHavvoc123 " im gonna do what it says"- there has never been a case when a person, influenced by a glam song, committed suicide. but there are various cases where teenagers, influenced by death/thrash bands, sacrificed their girlfriends "in the name of satan". in one of the cases ,one of the convicts later told the court that, they were completely under slayer's musics influence while murdering and later raping their girlfriend and said he now deeply regret what he had done.

  • @GlamTillDeath they are not saying, hey kids, life suck, go kill you're self, that would be like me saying that wasp encourage rape because they sing fuck like a beast och love machine. you're like fox news, you take a statement with some truth in it, spin it around. and make it all perversed and false, so it will fit with your opinions. you suck at life, and you will probably suck at dying as well, just cease to exist please.

  • @TheHavvoc123 "they are not saying, hey kids, life suck," - actually they say life sucks and there's generally huge pessimism in most of extreme metals lyrics

" fuck like a beast och love machine" none of these songs are about rape.

" just cease to exist please." - if I got owned by a person numerous times , I'd wish that person cease to exist, too

  • @GlamTillDeath well its not black sabbath heavy metal, its not thrash or any other, and if you compare it to other glam songs that were popular during the 80's you will find it quite similiar, but hey, thats just my opinion.! yeah im a poser faggot, but youre the one liking men wearing womens clothes, you ed gein wannabe serial killer.

  • @TheHavvoc123 ozzy osbourne is the definition of heavy metal in the 80s, his albums are as heavy metal as it gets. why there's a similarity between ozzy and other melodic metal bands? bcs heavy metal is meant to be played this way! heavy metal doesnt mean downtuned guitars and an overweight guy in baggy pants puking into microphone. only a stupid poser'd call ozzy glam metal.

  • @TheHavvoc123 "men wearing womens clothes,"- heavy metal rockers traditionally wear long hair and extraordinary clothes to shock people , its easy for you not to undrstand this since you dont know anything about this music.

  • @GlamTillDeath ever heard of the incident with sucidie solutions with ozzy osbourne? and you call me illinformed....

  • @TheHavvoc123 " sucidie solutions with ozzy osbourne?" - of course i've heard, but i dont think anyone is too stupid to call that song glam.

  • yeah teenagers suck, and grownups, porbably like you're self, who's still listening to mötley crüe and think they're hot as shit and still can get laid are in complete self denial. thank you for entertaing us!

  • stop trying to glorfify it, how's high heels gonna shook anyone? do you know who else wear high heels? transvestites

  • @GlamTillDeath yeah you're the only one who knows anything about music, while you were the one who started this whole discussion bashing on thrash metal you hypocryte, you're stuck in a decade thats long gone, and + since when did thrash band started wearing suits and cutting theyre hair short? you're just as retarded as your name. bye

  • @TheHavvoc123 "you're stuck in a decade thats long gone"- no. i have downloaded over 150 new albums in the last couple of months, most of whom are young melodic rock bands, whereas people like u only listen to what music industry tells you

"when did thrash band started wearing suits and cutting theyre hair short"- i said this is the way normal guys look like which refutes your retarded idea of thrashers looking normal

  • @GlamTillDeath oooooh the music industry, since when did the music industry start to help out thrash bands? im not talking about bullet for my valentine or avenged sevenfold, but bandslike the haunted, testament slayer, etc. and who cares about the 150 albums you downloaded? which you probably exagurate, they probably all sound like shit with the same lyrics and the same 4 chord proggresion.. and when did i mention that thrashers look normal? :S compared to the faggy glamers, yeah they might.

  • @TheHavvoc123 do u claim that slayer is an underground band?lol they got grammys every year and on every fuckin major music magazine u can see their pictures with their stupid faces sticking out their tongues like they are taking a shit. musical trends come and go, to feed sheeps like u.there was a metalcore trend in 05-06 and after metallica released their new album in '08, thrash became a trend again with big 4 tours commercials everywhere, every stupid 15 yr kid suddenly becoming a thrasher

  • @TheHavvoc123 bcs that u get to used to the same shitty thrash bands with same 4/4 rhythms and same cliched "i hate everything:((" lyrics doesnt mean that every music genre is the same and melodic rock genre is filled with great quality bands, releasing albums full of melodies, harmonic vocals and influences from different styles(blues, soul, folk). its not like the cliched generic noise that u listen to

  • @TheHavvoc123 glam listeners look casaul with a diverse audience made up of girls and boys, younger people and older people whereas at thrash gigs u see stupid male teenagers dressed in s&m gay fashion(spikes, chains, leather, tight pants) jumping on each other. i guess your also part of the s&m gay community thats why it looks normal to you lol

  • @GlamTillDeath no what i SAID is that the MUSIC INDUSTRY dont tell people to listen to SLAYER, every succes they've ever had they managed to get by themself and their music, stop putting words in my mouth.. ohyeah and glam wasnt a musical trend to feed the sheeps? you're not as original as you think you are.. GLAM rock was the biggest trend the music industry put together, thrash was the counter part of that ... and which major fucking magazines are you talking about? i am just curious

  • @TheHavvoc123 hey idiot,do u know what music industry is-how bands do promotion work? do u think that when music industry wanted people to listen to certain bands they come into peoples houses and put some music on lol music industry put ads in every fucking issue of magazines, put them high on festival bills, build myths around bands, made documentaries rewriting the music history so the sheeps'd believe their lies

  • @TheHavvoc123 and then constantly repeating these lies/myths so that teenagers like u would memorize everything they say.your music tastes are controlled by them by telling u 'what's cool' and 'what not to listen to' sorry but your just fuckin sheeps. what magazines am i talking about? kerrang, metal hammer, revolver in every magazine u see pictures of slayer with their tongues out looking like they r going to take a shit, trying to impress teenagers with their fake satanic crap

  • @TheHavvoc123 there were times glam was popular also but at least glam bands had a positive message of believing in yourself and following your dreams whereas shit like slayer are promoting shitty right-wing ideas and an adolescent nihilism. at least glam bands didint encourage kids to highschool shootings or murdering their own friends like your thrash crap did.

  • @GlamTillDeath dyers eve is a good song, and you shouldnt give thrash bands shit about being satanic, just look at fucking mötley crue, they had fucking pentagrams on stage and was even considering naming there second album shout WITH the devil. glam muiscians were just overgrown awkward boys who didnt get laid in high school, and then they compensated that by using their 15 minutes of fame to get super drunk and act like a total asshole.

  • @TheHavvoc123 motley crue did use pentagrams for fun and then changed this image pretty soon. its not a glam cliche to use pentagrams on stage. glam is for fun and kids at least had fun listening to this music and partying , whereas most thrashers are miserable adolescent boys who cant get laid in high school. most people over 21 dont even continue listening to that crap

  • @GlamTillDeath no, thats glamers youre talking about, you completly copied my argument, and you know what that means, that you're a phony, and you listen to glam, therefor glam is phony! see i can also pretend to be smart on the internet.

  • @TheHavvoc123 lol at your aristo logic:)))) you truly speak like a miserable angst-ridden teenager lol thanks for exposing how people of your kind are lame, ignorant and ill-informed.

  • @GlamTillDeath why are you argueing about heavy metal all of a sudden? compare todays heavy metal with the 80's and theres a big differance, and heavy metal rockers doesnt need to dress extraordniary to shock people, its all about the music. only glam people dress up wierd because they're unsure about there gender.

  • @TheHavvoc123 "hy are you argueing about heavy metal all of a sudden" - Bcs i cant stand stupid teenagers like u distorting what heavy metal is

" heavy metal with the 80's and theres a big differance"- its bcs many bands u thought of as 'heavy metal' doesnt play heavy metal. "heavy metal rockers doesnt need to dress extraordniary to shock people" - why do u think that ozzy osbourne, alice cooper etc. dress that way instead of having short hair and wearing suit?

  • @GlamTillDeath im sorry, did you just post THAT on a documentary with almost all glam bands? well, you're right then, fuck the music industry and them making documentarys rewriting music history so the sheeps will belive their lies! you sir, are the biggest sheep of all!

  • Comment removed

  • @GlamTillDeath "at least glam bands didint encourage kids to highschool shootings or murdering their own friends like your thrash crap did." when have a trash band ever encouraged that? you're probably an old fat sack of shit, bashing on teenagers, telling they should stop being depressed and go get laid, but i bet there a good thought behind all that, maybe because you dont get any pussy anymore because you listen to shitty music and dress faggy, so thank you, i will listen to your advice :)

  • @TheHavvoc123 " when have a trash band ever encouraged that?"

-3 slayer fans murdered their own friend, a 15 year old girl, in 'the name of satan' and then have sex with her corpse: nme(dot)com/news/slayer/6142

i am not an old shit, just someone who can tell that depressed teenagers are probably the most annoying group of people on this earth, but dont worry you'll grow up and realize how stupid u were dressing in s&m gay fetish clothes

  • @TheHavvoc123 here are some other links:

    articles(dot)latimes(dot)com/2001/jan/21/business/fi-15023

    soundspike(dot)com/news/2/2526-slayer_news/

think about this: ". "Slayer and others in the industry have developed sophisticated strategies to sell death metal music to adolescent boys. They don't care whether the violent, misogynistic message in these lyrics causes children to do harmful things. They couldn't care less what their fans did to our daughter. All they care about is money."

  • @GlamTillDeath and the sheep goes; muuuuu

that link is so fucking angled, do you really think slayer want their fans to kill eachother? its like the judas priest case when the two boys shoot themself... and please, stop trying implying that im gay, when you're the one defending a music genre who dresses in high-heels and wears makeup.

  • @TheHavvoc123 "do you really think slayer want their fans to kill eachother?"- they r only interested in making money, they dont give a shit if their teenage fans'd get influenced by it or not

"judas priest case when the two boys shoot themself."- no its not. in JP case. Better by You Better Than Me (a spooky tooth cover) lyrics have nothing to do with suicide, whereas in slayers case kids are directly influenced by slayers lyrics and practiced whats in the song(one of the kids admitted it)

  • @GlamTillDeath theres no point argueing with you because you keep hearing what you want to hear. and you're not owning anyone, you're just repeating the same stuff all over again and taking my statements out of context. so i will leave you with this. GLAM = Gay LA Metal

  • @TheHavvoc123 You said Ozzy is a glam band, YOU GOT OWNED

You said thrash bands never wore leather pants and spikes YOU GOT OWNED

You said thrash bands never influenced teenage murders YOU GOT OWNED

Gay LA Metal= Slayer, Megadeth. What a perfect definition for these thrash fags who are degenerating heavy metal with their lame-ass adolescent music

  • @GlamTillDeath Bloody hell I've enjoyed reading you and @TheHavvoc123 duke it out on this vid. The "glam vs thrash" thing is a tired old debate that needs to be put down. News flash: it's not the 80's anymore! You're bashing each other's genre, but many bands of both genres tour and play festivals together nowadays. I'm a thrasher, but there's a lot of glam I enjoy (though most of the musicians in this doc are/were idiots). It's all good rock/metal, unlike the crap nowadays.

  • @GlamTillDeath And another thing, no girls at thrash shows, eh? Then there's a lot of VERY convincing transvestites at the thrash gigs I've been to.

  • @TheCryptViolator yeah even thrashers joke about thrash concerts being "sausagefests" bcs there are no/very few girls at thrash gigs. Bobby B. from Overkill jokes about that in a thrash metal doc.

  • @GlamTillDeath hahaha no just no...you know that most of the popular glam bands regret the music that they made during the 80s? look at nikki singing hey, she got looks that kills man! while he was all emo inside. the only band thats worth listening to is wasp, cuz they never sold out. and also you're a great big fag

  • @TheHavvoc123 "most of the popular glam bands regret the music that they made during the 80s"- No idiot, most glam bands are still around and still play the same songs at shows, so they definately not regret it

" he was all emo inside"- Emo=I hate life, I hate myself, pessimism. Glam=enjoying life, living your life to the full. So Emo is perfectly opposite of glam. In fact emo is more like thrash, you've to be pissed off, pessimistic in both thrash and emo.

  • @TheHavvoc123 hey loser girl, are u still here? lol

You said Ozzy is a glam band, YOU GOT OWNED

You said thrash bands never wore leather pants and spikes YOU GOT OWNED

You said thrash bands never influenced teenage murders YOU GOT OWNED

Dont u get tired off getting owned little bitch?

  • @TheHavvoc123 I totally agree. Glam is SHIT!

    \m/ MEGADETH \m/

  • Jesus Lizzy Borden, if you're gonna be lazy enough as to do a cover song, at least don't sing it so badly...

  • Fuck guys your all fags

  • @qu7aker

    Tour*

    my mistake.

  • @qu7aker

As much as it pains me to say this, you're dead wrong about poison. I cant stand them but they sell out every show they play, and have recently announced a tuor for 2011 with Motley Crue who also sell out everything, and i mean everything, they play.

Poison, as shitty as they are and were, are still well and kicking.

  • @JesseItsLondon thats when they recently got back together and did a reunion tour.

  • what song is that at 2:49, sounds a lil bit like metal church

  • nice to see the young Gunners in form. Wasted all that time on fucking Poison when they could`ve been interviewing GnR members.

  • paul stanley is just the weirdest, most artificial person in the world. i mean, what is he like. we know the entertaining scumbag that gene simmons is, but stanley is just a bit of a (ridiculous) mystery.

  • That guy at 3:52 is so cool, looks Glam but rocking a Slayer shirt!

  • You all are faggots! Electro house is the only real genre of music.

    *i'm a troll

  • This is back in the good old days, I remember Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Poison, and Judas Priest were all opening for KISS.

  • xDD bret speaks reall fast

  • These are GREAT fucking movies. You can't rent them on DVD yet so thanks for posting. It's like watching a train wreck from my childhood, God these guys are (were) idiots and posers (MOST of them). The culture was hilarious. A blip in the history of rock but good viewing.

  • 6:04 what a fucking pussy man

  • Lemmy could kick all of these guys' asses.

  • @Sheiky06

    FUCK YEAH.

everyone in this film is just set up for the fall that Kurt Cobain made happen, EXCEPT LEMMY.

  • @GOFFYTIME most of the bands ( Kiss, Aerosmith, Lizzy Borden...) still plays music and having fun while Kurt Cobain is already dead and gone

  • "Once you have money you realize that it's really not important." Well that sounds very... wait, what?? Oh Paul Stanley, you genius.

  • that loser at 4 :59 hes never worked, bet hes working now hahaha what a glam metal moron.

  • Glam isn't metal... its Rock N Roll. They're no lighter than Foreigner, Boston, etc and a bit heavier. Thrash bands had the same exact style as these guys when it came to hair and sometimes even clothes, tell me Overkill doesn't look like a glam band. Some of the greatest originators of heavy metal have had glam phases ie: Ozzy & Judas Priest. It's about the music not the look.

  • God, this makes heavy metal look so ridiculous, fucking glam shit.

  • Fliers. So that's how bands did it before myspace, twitter and facebook.

  • Stevie Rachelle at 03:45

  • bands like poison, mötley crüe or Kiss had more girls a day then you motherfuckers gonna have in your whole life!

    so why call them gay?

  • @DeiFool Hey, man. The Backstreet Boys had more chicks than most rock bands.....so what? A lot of girls are dumb and have terrible taste in music. You can have your dick sucked and sell your soul or have some self respect and integrity and try and write a good song. Hey, if you have to play gay music to get chicks your game sucks to begin with. I would rather look in the mirror and have some self respect personally.

  • @Flipper79able a lot of the girls are intelligent and they hang out with rockers where the fun is. no need to wonder why they didint hang out with smelly greasy haired thrash/death types singing about satanic crap.

  • @GlamTillDeath I don't know......I guess I thought some girls like guys who are intelligent, semi masculine, and after artistic integrity? These girls do exist.

  • @Flipper79able these guys do exist but not in the thrash circles and i guess the girls r looking for them in other circles thats why they dont pay any attention to the mentally deficient goons who listen generic noise and dress in s&m gay sense of fashion

  • @GlamTillDeath Your going to tell me Tommy Lee and Vice Neil not to mention Brett Micheals and Rikki Rocket are more intelligent than Dave Mustaine or Scott Ian or James Hetfield? I think you may be living on the planet "Retard" if you believe that? By the way I don't know how you can say Thrash Metal guys dress gay? The Big Four ....Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax did not dress in S&M clothes. Meanwhile the guys you defend were wearing make up, nail polish and teasing their hair.

  • @Flipper79able lol Dave Mustaine is intelligent??? he is an conservative born-again christian douchebag who believes in lameass conspiracy theories.. James Hetfield? what did he do that can be counted as an intelligent act? he is a typical redneck guy, in one of the interviews he was talking about USA bringing freedom to Iraq and he was glad that his music was used to torture people. These people are intelligent as rednecks in your neighborhood and yes only RETARDS can take them seriously lol

  • @Flipper79able the clothes that thrash bands wear(leather pants, chains, spikes) belongs to the gay s&m culture. its ironic that thrashers are trying to act like tough kids while wearing long hair, earrings, leather pants etc. which makes them homophobic trannies

  • @GlamTillDeath Name one Glam Metal guy that comes close to Dave or James or Ian's intelligence? You still haven't done that? At least the guys I talked about have a political opinion. Go ahead... name one GLAM Metal guy who has ANY intelligence? I dare you.

  • @Flipper79able lol the guys you named (Dave, James) are complete idiots and you cant even deny it but just say 'they have political opnion' yes everyone has political opinion, even the mentally retarded rednecks in your town and these names you listed are no different than them.About naming one glam metal guy who has intelligence, I can say Dee Sniders speech against PMRC is very intelligent and showed the Senate what artistic freedom means.

  • @GlamTillDeath Oh, isn't that Gold. You think Dee's speech was great but when Mustaine writes a song called "Hook in Mouth" about the PMRC than he is just a stupid conservative Redneck......right? I will give you that Dee is smart because I speak the truth (unlike you) that Dee is really the only GLAM guy with brains......but with all the political shit that Metallica and Megadeth wrote you defend GLAM. Your Wrong and I think you know that deep down.

  • @Flipper79able Dave Mustaine ended up as a conservative right-wing douchebag. he wrote hook in mouth but at the same time he refused to play festivals with Rotting Christ bcs they r 'satanic', even in this doc. he says he hates the rockstar lifestyle although he was heavily on drugs. Oh let me mention he also believes in lame-ass conspiracy theories. Btw. about the Dee Snider thing, you wanted 1 example, you got it and now say that he was the only one lol

  • @GlamTillDeath You don't listen do you? Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax never ever wore that S&M clothes. Your confusing Thrash with The New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Judus Priest and Iron Maiden and all those other guys wore that shit. Like I said GLAM wore Lipstick, nail polish, hair spray, girls clothes......I mean for you to even call Thrash, gay clothes while you defend GLAM is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You really don't know shit do you?

  • @Flipper79able LOL Slayer never wore any S&M clothes, here is some links for you to see Slayer in make-up and s&m clothes:

    slayer band photo: media(dot)photobucket(dot)com/image/slayer+1983+/migegomez13/Bands/Slayer1983copy(dot)jpg

    live photo: last(dot)fm/music/Slayer/+images/23662473

I can do the same fot lots of other bands but i wont waste my time

  • @GlamTillDeath Your an idiot.....Like I said.......GLAM INTENTIONALLY WEAR WOMEN'S CLOTHES. Go ahead and nitpick here and there but that is what GLAM is........ GENDER BENDING. GLAM BANDS will admit to this. I AM DONE WITH THIS STUPID CONVERSATION.

  • @Flipper79able glam bands intentionally wore those clothes only on the stage as part of the show, you know this and you go to the show to have a good time to have an escapism , most people are intelligent enough to seperate the show from reality. Thrash guys on the other hand claim to be all tough guys and homophobic but they wear long hair, earrings, leather pants etc. whichs ironic and idiotic. btw you wanted an example of a thrash band with s&m clothes and you got one lol:))))))

  • @GlamTillDeath Well thanks for giving me another reason GLAM sucks these guy are not being themselves they dress up in stage clothes to put on an act. Just like everything they do is an act. If I wanna see people act I'll go see a play. I wanna see musicians being themselves like the way Metallica wore the same clothes off stage as on. You want sincerity not guys out to please everyone and trying to get money. You want more than that and GLAM was only a step away from the Boy Bands.

  • @Flipper79able PT2: IF you taking about sincerity of thrash bands, you'll get disappointed a lot. a lot of the thrash bands sold out in the 90s when thrash went out of fashion, most of them didint believe in lyrics they write( tom araya is a catholic and he sings about antichrist on stage). and they also dont wear the same clothes in their daily lifes(do you think dave mustaine walks in tight jeans all day?) thrash bands are as commercial as pop bands

  • @GlamTillDeath Tom is not a Catholic he was raised a Catholic and there is a big difference. So your one lame argument about Thrash metal guys not believing in their lyrics is a fail. By the way Thrash metal guys really did dress the same on and off stage. Mustaine really did where tight jeans......everyone wore tight jeans in the 80's. DUH. By the way Biker gangs did have chains and spikes all this shit can be seen with Iggy Pop back in the 60's. You can't trace all this to Rob.

  • @Flipper79able "Tom is not a Catholic he was raised a Catholic and there is a big difference. So your one lame argument about Thrash metal guys not believing in their lyrics is a fail"

So i guess this one example will show how deluded and how brain-washed you are by the music industry:

    roadrunnerrecords(dot)com/blabbermouth(dot)net/news(dot)aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=54822

  • @Flipper79able PT1:People pay money to see a show, not to see miserable dudes looking like mcdonalds employees. a lot of the bands from trad rock(Rainbow, Purple) to heavy metal(Maiden) had their own stage clothes and shows, its called respect to the stage. wearing your daily clothes on stage was an idea of punks who saw no boundaries between stage and audience(thrashers copied this)even for thrashers i dont think dave mustaine wears tight jeans all day haha

  • @Flipper79able are you an idiot or something?? You give credit to Metallica because they wear the same clothes whoaaa how old are you??? 10? that´s exactly why they wear the same clothes so idiots like you can say proudly "my idols don´t care about looks" , that´s a look too moron, the important thing is the music, if a good band wear make up that´s cool, i don´t mind, if they don´t that´s fine too, and please open your eyes, Metallica and megadeth they care about money too, trust me.

  • @steelman1691 YAWN.

  • @steelman1691 lol dude unfortunately music industry is targeting these 0-15 year olds bcs they spend all their daddys money into cds , tshirts etc. and make these kids believe they would look ultra rebellious and 'special' if they buy this tshirt or that cd. these kids were also told what they should listen to and what they should hate to by music industry and if u talk with them, u'd see these kids just repeat these manufactured arguments music industry made them memorize

  • @GlamTillDeath Okay are you serious? Whats your point? Are you saying Thrash guys dress gay or like women? You say Thrash bands wear earrings, leather pants and long hair. Keith Richards wore earrings and so did the Hell's Angels. Elvis and Jim Morrison wore Leather pants and every Rock band had long hair. All these people existed before this gay and S&M culture you talk about. Bikers in outlaw Motorcycle gangs were the real innovators of what became the Thrash look.

  • @Flipper79able rockers had long hair in the 60s to show their countercultural statement despite rednecks calling themselves 'gay' and attacking rockers bcs of their long hair. rolling stones, aerosmith themselves created the rock dress sense which influenced a lot 80s hard rock/glam scene. bikers used to wear leather jackets to endure wind. but neither of these people wear chained wristbands, spikes, chains whichs associated with thrash/death bands
