Chris rock did not learn much, no, it is not about wanting to look like the affluent people, perhaps partly, ok. What it is is hatred of their own looks. They want to look different than they do. they think their natural hair is ugly. And yes they want the hair white or say non-black people have. They do. They are always trying to play with non-black people hair and hating on such women. Black women do not appreciate the beauty of the afro or natural so they end up looking ridiculous
