Thanks for posting. I was wondering how the 'electricals' worked when I went through one of these train/tram crossings a couple of weeks ago on a train trip from Flinders Street to Cheltenham, I think around Glen Huntly. The train speed was very slow through the crossing, around 20 km/h.
I've heard about this crossing and I would like to learn more about it. I have heard though that there's a speed restriction for the heavy rail trains since the diamond is a bit shallow for them and (I don't know if this is right or not) they sometimes ride on the flanges when they go thru.
