this is terrible. buckley's version is infinitely better, solo and with his band. sebastian bach completely misunderstands the meaning of this song, because it's about the falsity and devastation of all forms of religion. and, buckley's version is pretty fuckin' hard rock. i don't understand what sebastian is talking about. he's full of shit.
alright cover. i liked it. though misleading to anyone who hasnt heard jeff buckley. kind of like "jeff wrote this super soft acoustic song.. and we BEEFED it up and made it HEAVY" when in reality, jeff Buckley's version was as loud and heavy as they were playing it.. Eternal Life (Road Version) is my favorite version of the song, the B side studio recording
What true rocker wouldnt like this song. The songs Jeff covered, he made his own and somehow pulled you in. He took others songs and made them better. Dosent matter how many times I listen to Grace, when I leave it alone for awhile and come back to it, Its always fresh again. I really cant say that about other artist. My all time favorite singer songwriter. Ive seen some good covers of Jeff, but not any that I thought was better.
I'm hoping for a studio cover of this, Its nice to see someone with fame and respect in metal to cover such a hard rock song. Anyone else hope to get a ton of famous musicians to cover Grace?
This is cool not so much for Bach covering it (because it is an awful version) but because it's awesome when musicians pay tribute, sing songs of others. It's great. Nice post.
Total joke watching Seb attempt a JB cover. Buckley is in another stratosphere

What live is it from when Jeff is singing ? I thought that the only "acoustic" version of Eternal Life was the Sin-é one
