where are the accents? wow...sounds nice to the common ear. but anyone with any type musical sense can hear the obvious flaws. but again it "sounds" nice
We sang this song at Alabama All-State 2009 The lady who wrote this song...Mrs. Powell, her husband was the conductor of TTBB. It was an amazing piece to sing.
This is one of my favorite songs to sing! I'm singing it now in my choir. I would like to say that your performance overall was VERY good. However, a couple of things came to my attention. First of all, the beginning is supposed to be forte. I don't know if acoustics worked against you, though. The vowels were too bright. For example, the 'tu' in "tuo" sounds more like 'tew.' And the o's in "Non" and "Domine" are supposed to be long o's. It sounded like you were singing short o's.
@philphil7 And also, when singing in Latin, the T's should not be hard T's, but dental T's, so that they sound a little more like D's. At least that's the way I was taught lol.
@roxiegirl13 honestly its a very easy piece no offense we have about the same amount and we all learn it seperatly. dynamics and pronouncitation is key in this song not to mention working on pitch which this choir was off

the the guys are using a bad accent sounds to american, the ritard on the tu o da gloriam is taken way to slow. voices are not mixed well enough.
