really, how about the "Root"actually being that a centuries-long history of racism & discrimination has undermined the role&influence of millions of Black men to obtain a quality education & competitive jobs I understand where Pres.Obama is coming from though-he is clearly upset about his OWN father abandoning him.It is hard to understand though how his abandonment somehow translates into the problem being mainly a black{men} community one (which is patently untrue).Where are the JOBS4 black men
You make is sound like Obama should have given him a pass simply because he got his mother pregnant. Fathers that knock-up a woman (or women) and are not involved in their kids life are scum and they don't get a pass simply because they are their biological father.
I've seen my father on two occasions in my life. He does not get a pass for lack of involved in my life. Especially since he lived about 30 minutes away from where I lived. I will never forgive him for what he's done. Never.
Obama was not talking about those who leave thier children to look for a better life elsewhere. He's talking about men who dont care about the walfare of thier children. Men who keep making babies. In Africa fathers atleast see thier children even if he cant take care of them financial. Kids dont care how much money you make. They just want to know thier parents loves them. I think that what President Obama was talking about. But I also blame women.
Obama could have said so much on Father's Day. But he chose to repeat the same old, tired, false stereotypes about men and fathers, portraying us all as irresponsible, incapable, uninterested in parenting. I wonder what Average Joe Biden was thinking when he listened to Obama's speech? Wait, I know this.. Biden was thinking that men are abusers, never victims, so Biden's VAWA doesn't ignore 40% of America's DV victims. I love your vid, tbex50, but Obama-Biden is all about the feminist vote.
