where can i get a Epiphone Casino Korean made? i found one at Guitar Center a couple months ago but now that I have the money I can't seem to get a hold of it x/
I just got a 2008 casino that looks like yours. I don't know what all the differences are in it from a 65 one, but I really like it and it sounds similar to yours. Great playing btw!
Ok..........lemme ask the obvious question.........Epiphone's version (as opposed to the Gibson version) is laminated (back and sides). Other than that obvious cost saver........what do ya think of the instrument, overall?????
@keaneterpol get both, but I would start with this Casino. If you want a fuller sound then go with the Humbuckers. it's kinda weird tho I love Chuck Berry & I play eaarly R&R ,Jump Blues etc. & the P90 & CC pickups are all these guys had, like T-bone & Chuck also they played thinline, full hollows & this is the sound I wish to replicate.but then Chuck & T-bone switched to the ES-335 & suchlike guits, so now it become a preference of early or late sounds. I love it all that's why I'm getting both
@keaneterpol Listen carefully. Do notice how this guitar sounds like the whole guitar is saturated with tone in every note he plays? The 335's got a HUge hunk of wood in the center so it will sound thicker like a les paul. But it won't feedback like this guitar. I would go with this guitar if you don't think you'll run into feedback problems.
it's common that the G string has tuning issues, this is the case with every guitar.
It has to do with the fact that the G string is a little too thick to be unwound.
Also epiphone standard tuners are not the greatest. Make sure you put the strings correctly on the guitar (with a sort of knot on the tuners), and visit your music store for a set up.
I f nothing helps, change the tuner(good tuners cost 60 dollars)
This is an awesome video to view a demo on how the guitar does on blues music. I was concerned about buyiing one as I thought it was just a Beatles type music instrument. You sure erased that thought. Thank you. I'm picking one up this week.
Who is this guy !? Now this is Blues at its BEST ! I have seen ALOT of guitarist in my day but this guy is in my Top 5 now . Hats off to you Bluesman. See you at the CrossroadS.
i've always thought Gibson's P90s sounded better than than gibson's PAF humbuckers. The PAFs are overrated. Also epiphone needs to come out with a george harrison model casino.... come to think i don't think there is one guitar company that has come out with a george harrison madel anything. and hes played every guitar brand. Rosewood Tele, Stratocaster, Epiphone Casino, Gretsch, Rickenbacker. and not one company has had the heart to give the beatles lead guitarist a signature model.
AWESOME playing. It's all good and I love neck pickups, but it really snarls around 2:37 when you kick in the bridge p/u. Excellent players like you are why this guitar has such a reputation. A man who knows how to use P90's. Gotta love it. AWESOME playing man.
It's a fixed bridge - on studs. But even if it were floating, you simply change one string at a time or something like that and the bridge won't move.Good luck
hey everybody, can someone help me,i want to get this guitar but i wanna know if this guitar has a floating bridge, like on a gretsch, so everytime you change the strings you have to reset the intonation, is it like that or more like a les paul only with a tailpiece, somebody pleeeaase help!!!!!
Excellent. I love the various types of tones people get with their Casinos. I also have an elitist but my amp is an AC30. Love the tones and response of the P90's coupled with that creamy Vox tone! I also love the timing and feel of your playing! Awesome! Also five stars!
