well what program was used doesn't matter since I can use both. It looks like he modified the model from the original. To me it looks like the lower half uses the same uv layout from the texture. I guess he could of just modified his uv's to fit the texture. I do know people have found a way to import the geometry into a 3d application was wondering how. I am a professional character artist so i don't need to be told any of the basic things.
