I love me some Ronnie Spector but damn she pushed the envelope many times and honestly it didn't do her any good to look like trash when she was and is still and nice looking woman. I saw Ronnie in the late 1970's at an oldies rock show. She was about 35 (maybe 33.) I swear she was the hottest woman I'd ever laid eyes on. When I'm 95 years old and can't remember my own name, I'll remember how Ronnie looked that night.

Due to racial attitudes at the time, the studios tried to make them look as fair as possible. But in most pics, you can tell they are medium brown. Ronnie recently stated that she would have fared better marrying Keith Richards. I knew they dated, but I did not know it was that intense back then. Keith really fell for her. Maybe she culd have helped him stay off drugs. I read her mom really liked the Beatles and Stones as friends.

Reading comments from last month and very sad that Amy Winehouse is gone. She was influenced by the Ronnettes. In fact Amy Winehouse's first appearance on Letterman she is said to be the lost member of the Ronnettes (they were joking with Amy of course) the Ronnettes were so young when they got started.
