I bought the blue version as well, I only use the thrust vectoring for rudder control, until I get used to the aicraft as well. I will maiden the aircraft in the spring. Good video
Hi mach7rc, did you by any chance find a fault in the program set up for the su-34 ? I did mine exactly as stated in the photos only my tv's dont respond at all. i'm thinking i have either faulty servo's or loose wires but my last resort is to cut away the foam to check connections. Everything working apart from the tv's. any help welcome, thanx
I was thinking the same thing about the decals. It seemed odd to me, and bugged me and was thinking of correcting the "mistake" on my SU 34... So I decided to do a little research. But, they are actually correct as per footage of real aircraft... Go figure.
Hello crashmonger. It has been bothering me but now that you mention that I am at ease with it. Thats great news as I have never got a glimpse of the real one. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, that is just amazing , I love how you use servo reducers on almost all your airframes, that is such a bad ass jet can't wait to see it fly, that is just some weird stuff how you got the VT set up, have you found any different ways of setting up the VT with mixing or did you stick with this set up ? love the jet
Yea the servo reducers seem to prolong the life of the servo's a bit. The VT was a pain to hook up correctly. The instructions I received to hook up the DX-7 were slightly wrong. So after fighting it for a good long while it finally just happened, so I left it alone, lol. A bit of luck I believe. Thx.
thanx for the help, made my day!, ps i sent off for 3 channel into 1 servo spd regulator £7.99. My landing gear is like a mouse trap (no kidding it is so severe it actually worked loose my servo rod!) lookin fwd to ur flight video.
Great glad I could help. You will really enjoy the rate reducer as it will preserve the life of your servo's also. I have been working so much and the winds have been horrible here so hopefully I will get a break soon.
This is the RC Castle model. The canards do nothing. The retracts are slowed with a rate reducer from ebay. You can also purchase one from hobbyking for about $10.00 I believe this one is better. More videos to come along with flight videos.
They "do nothing" meaning they don't move, but I cut the power to mine heading into a stiff breeze yesterday and I kid you not, I thought time had stopped. She nosed up and just sat there like a piece of paper in the breeze, steady as you please and didn't stall out til the wind died down a touch! I'm convinced that aerodynamically, the canards have a noticeable effect.
Although awesome to fly, I found the nose wheel is terribly fragile. Best of luck with yours and happy landings!

Is a 7-channel transmitter enough, if you do not want the rudder provided with vectors?
