  • I use the same method and my record time is a minute and 19 seconds. It's not too bad and it really impresses people (=D) I probably average at 90 seconds like he does.

  • the basic method is easier and faster

  • HOW!!!!

  • who's talkin in background ? o.O

  • well, what ever u like man... if u want to make it faster, then get a diy cube, lube it..with silicon (jig-a-loo).

-Use finger tricks instead of turning the cube with your hand

    -practice...

    -try out other methods...

    - if u really wanna get the time down and u do have time, then just learn the Fridrich method...learn the OLLs and PLLs...

    - play around with the F2L, and try to get the corner and edge at the same time...

    cheers and good luck !

  • NOOO do not use jig aloo i messed up my best cubes w/ it b/c it craked the peices 100% silicone lube only

  • you probably used something before jig-a-loo because jig-a-loo is the best lube for a rubiks cube.

  • unless rubiks has started lubing the cubes before packaging i didnt it was stright out of the packaging did a few solves and put the lube in

  • ahahaha i know u ur my teacher!!!:P

  • YOU NEED A NEW DIY CUBE!!!! get some lubricant and learn the F2L's OLL's and PLL's. your time will decrease trumendously. Also try to learnt he petrus method its quicker to me the rob's method (actually the Fridrich method). hope those hints help.

  • I HIGHLY suggest learning f2l. Also, there are only 6 other algorithms to get all yellow on top (OLL) before the final step, if that doesn't sound like too much work. One of them is actually that algorithm that you use to get all of the yellow on top, except a little different, and the others are relatively simple. Also, you could learn some other variants for the PLLs mentioned in Rob's, such as the "reverse" or whatever you would like to call it. But, good job good luck and keep working at it!

  • learning 2 look oll and pll 13 algs instead of 50 but slightly slower

  • man it just sounds like ur cube is really stiff

  • I can do it in 56 seconds using his method, I might make a vid thanking him.

  • Hey man, good solve and video. I believe that around 2:22 you could have just did the move one more time to complete the top face, but you did not hold the cube correctly that time. You should have rotated the entire cube around 180 degrees instead of 90. You want the single corner piece in the bottom left of the TOP face (You held it correctly the move before that). You would have then completed the top face after two moves instead of 5 of them. Make sure to watch my video again to see how.
