Apart from Caliber, Avenger and Charger are muscle cars. There are other smaller models under study after Chrysler/Fiat merger. I have driven a Caliber for a few weeks on a company rental while on a business trip to the US. It's a much larger car than a nano - certainly not in the same class. My commute was about 15 miles daily, with 10 on the freeway. It'd go about 25-28 miles per gallon. I guess a manual tranny would do better. I'll refrain from commenting on the quality of Chrysler - given the shape they are in, and the livelihood of so many workers involved, I don't feel any negative comments would be appropriate.

The problem with this car is its the wrong design for its demographic to succeed. Its inexpensive concept attacks the lower income population. So these people likely live in areas that do not have adequate roads to support this car. If this car is not driven on well paved surfaces it will not last. It is likely to be driven more on dirt roads, inner city roads that likely get littel maintenance in India. A few weeks on dirt roads or a few good potholes and this car is done!!
